    I love schedule videos! The schedule we settled on during 6th grade for our only child was:
    (times are approximate, but generally pretty close to this idea)
    9:00 about 10 min. each for spelling, vocab, math facts drills, typing, and Fix It grammar
    10:00 Outside play/exercise
    11:00 Math and writing
    12:00 Lunch with video lessons for science, alternating with history documentaries
    1:00 Rotating subject (each day a different subject) one of:
    LA, science experiment, history timeline and hands on project, health, and art
    2:00 or 2:30-ish Musical instrument practice (two instruments)
    3:00/3:30 Done
    Then after-school activities, and at some point independent silent reading for about 30 min., or longer if we didn’t have a lot going on that day. And we do read aloud after dinner/before bed.

    I kept looking for your video crossing my fingers you would post, lol. I’ve tried following you on insta but it won’t let me . We are also secular and it’s so hard to find truly secular content. Thank you for the hard work and inspiration.

    I hope your son is doing great!!! One of mine went to public school for a year. It was devastating but I enjoyed spending more time with the younger ones at the same time. Hope you are doing well with the changes ❤

    I was so excited to see your video! Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into your videos. Secular homeschoolers don't have nearly enough options for curriculum so its nice to see other people's plans for the year. I've always struggled with finding literature curriculum... We've tried so many out there but I think I'm gonna go the way you did and do novel studies. I have the rest of language arts figured out, thankfully. 😅

    You're my favorite channel for homeschool curriculum and ideas! Your school is so cool!
    Wishing you the best this next year! My 2 oldest are also in public school. But I have 5 who are home/homeschooled. Each child is different, and public school can be a great fit as well!

    Thank you so much for this! I look forward to your curr picks every year! Looks like you have a great year planned. Later in the year, I’d love to hear how Sassafras astronomy is going. I’ve always heard it’s young earth, so I’ve never looked into it. Maybe I’m wrong about that. Thanks again!

    • @HomeschoolOfBelAir
      @HomeschoolOfBelAir  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you !! As far as I know sassafras science falls under neutral ,, I didn’t even think about that to be honest 🤔especially since ‘young earth ‘ is mostly found in religious curricula. I’ll look through the study guide and get back to you !! I

    Great video as always. I’ve been using the Sylladot curriculum you mentioned in your homeschool convention video back in 2021, plus the moffat girls phonics thing you recommended and OMG!!! 🥹🙏 my son is now a 1st grader reading at a third grade level. And he finishes a whole level workbook from the sylladot curriculum in a as little as 2 months. His learning is at beast mode lol. So appreciative of your videos you have no idea. I can’t thank you enough 🤗❤

    Always look forward to your videos! What days do you all do history and science? Just on Fridays? I was going to make our Friday's elective days as well but I just am having a hard time trying to fit everything in. Lol. What do you create your novel study printables on? They look so good!

    • @HomeschoolOfBelAir
      @HomeschoolOfBelAir  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi ,, we have always done Electives just on Fridays,, the way we're able to squeeze everything in , is by only doing electives!! we don't do any language arts or math on those days. this coming year we're going to do History and Science on Thursdays and Fridays. Art and Spanish only on Fridays

    New viewer here, hey there. Thanks for posting this.
    I'm curious if you already speak Spanish, and if so, do you find a curriculum helps you teach your kids vs organically in daily life?
    I've tried Spanish curriculum for my kids but it's frustrating for all I of us. But when I just talk to them in Spanish as we do things they seem to retain more.
    I wonder if I'm just bad at teaching it or if I haven't found the right lessons.

    • @HomeschoolOfBelAir
      @HomeschoolOfBelAir  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So I already speak Spanish fluently it was my first language one of the curriculum that I found that I really like. I’m probably gonna start it back up. It’s flip-flop Spanish. It’s more of a conversational Spanish. There’s no workbook it’s just conversation and picture cards and if you don’t speak Spanish, you could also get the audio.

    • @HomeschoolOfBelAir

      Yes,,, Mc Marie on TPT … we love those literature studies. The are very well rounded in the sense that you get Vocabulary, grammar along with literary comprehension

    • @HomeschoolOfBelAir

      Hi yes if I can figure out a way that I can delete his book information since it is customized to the books he’s reading I can definitely put it up as a free printable on my TPT
