Reminds me of a more advanced version of the primary school art technique where we coloured a rainbow swathe in coloured pencils on paper, then covered it with black crayon, finally scraping the crayon off in a design to show the rainbow colours underneath. Happy memories. ❤

@@whatcolorfulworlds I took some of the elements you had, but I want to take the full color along for another page soon as I was using Sakura coloring pencils (that are shaped like a crayon) and want to use a real colored pencil to take your approach. :D
@@liloutriskell31000 black water-based marker covered with a layer of black prismacolor pencil. I”m planning on doing a video soon comparing different techniques to create a solid black background - keep an eye out :)
@@Kymmi_600that’s the black for the inside of the elements (black, indigo blue, with a bit of purple). That way, though the inside of the elements are black they are more dimensional and look different from the background. The solid black of the background is waterbased marker and the black pencil overlay ❤

I think she said it was a 3 color combo. Around 2:15 mark.
