4:15 This is a common misconception I see in a lot of art instruction. The shadow color temperature is determined by the color of the ambient light. It's not always just the opposite temperature of the direct light. Ambient light mostly takes on the color of the object it is reflecting off of, so a warm light illuminating a room with warm-colored objects will produce warm shadows as well. The reason the misconception is so prevalent is because the most common form of lighting is natural outdoors light. In that situation the direct light from the sun is warm, but the ambient light comes from the sky which in common painting settings is around noon when the sky is blue. That said, it's common to do warm light/cool shadow just because it makes for visually appealing contrast.
I drew myself and I didn't have lighting with any warm colours, so it was just cool colours.. Not visually appealing lol.
Oh yeah , you’re absolutely right ! I will pin your comment so people can see this 😅
I’m just so used to drawing characters without any background that I always tend to go with the most simple scenario and this info has completely left my head 🥲
This muffet drawing took me back years to my childhood
Same
Undertale is a "when I was a kid" moment for you guys?.... I don't even know what to say I just didn't expect that 😭
@@kris_underruneIt feels weird saying that Undertale was part of my childhood but I did do a shit ton of bad sans drawings lmao
Yeah ^u^ Muffet the spider queen from Undertale! I remember when it was popular
@@kris_underruneyes💔 the game came out in 2015, after all. thats almost a decade ago. i was a wee lad when i got into it. it was a huge part of my childhood.
rendering saves lives
The very first tip about the saturation for base colors is genius!!! I usually do that be default, but I wasn't completely aware of why!
As a traditional artist who has been dabbling in digital art for years and never understanding how the heck to actually get it to look good, this was amazingly helpful. I’d been trying to do everything just by painting it regularly without utilising the features that make digital art so cool like you’ve shown here. Thank you!
I've never related so much to a TH-cam comment 😭
THANK YOU Ive been drawing for like 4 years and my colors are always baddd but no one ever told me Flats should be the same saturation??? Thank you that literally made it all make sense
It was my first time hearing that too..i just realized most of my flats are different saturation 🤦
this is the 1st vid that actually explained the "add the details" part , thank you so much i learned alot 💜
EVERYTHING WITH ONE BRUSH?!OMG.
But honestly, I love how you explained everything so clearly. I feel like I have a better idea on how to proceed now. Thank you❤
“This process takes a lot of time and patience” Ah, explains why my drawings suck! I have zero patience 😅
MEEEEEE
So real... I tend to want to finish a rendered piece in one sitting and wonder why it doesn't look as good as other people's art x'D
I love watching artists explain their process, it gives me inspiration to draw lol I love your art style it’s really beautiful !!!
This tutorial helped me more than most advanced guides! The way you explained it in terms I can actually understand helped a lot! Thank you!!!
thanks for explaining your rendering process!! I've been drawing digitally for some time but still figuring out my own rendering process so this is really helpful!!!
Very helpful! I've been drawing for years and while I have slowly improved I get to points where I'm like "I could really make it pop more", seems I add more realism each time. Thank you so much!
This is the best tutorial I have seen this helped me so mush especially since I just started digital art this year ❤
I love your style and your way of recording and simplifying things in your videos, very Angel Ganev style, another genius... I really have problems generating dynamic poses and clothing details for my character... I don't know how I see but I don't I know how to apply them and the character is not static. If you can make a video about that, it would be great!! Greetings from Argentina keep it up!!
Hey , thank you !! ❤️😄 yes , I’ll definitely be making a video on dynamic posing and stuff sometime soon 😌🤝
This was so helpful! Thankyou I ALSO LOVE THE COOKIES DRAWINGS FROM CRK THEY ARE AMAZING
thank you so much for posting this despite the hesitance, I'm sure this'll help a lot of others as well as myself ^^
Your art is goals! I want a stylized art style with both soft and cel shading. I always have great ideas for drawings, but they never come out good because I kinda suck! This video did help, tyy
excellent tutorial ! i appreciated you mentioned the difference between 2d and 3d shading!
I never comment on art tutorials, but this has to be the most useful rendering tutorial I’ve ever seen. (A lot) I just found your channel, I’m so glad I watched that one TH-cam short that popped up on my recommended lol!
Hello there! First of all, I love your art style! Second of all, as someone that has pretty much never rendered any of her drawings (I've always preferred cel shading) and wanted to start changing the shading style, I found this video really really helpful! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience ^^
this was super helpful, I feel like no matter how many times I hear it, I always forget just how important contrast is in composition and rendering whether it's contrast in value or saturation.
we have a very similar style of rendering, so this video really helps me a lot! i know i can take what i've learned to bring my art to the next level, and it's also nice to know that someone thinks in the same way i do. i hope to one day be as close in skill level as you are!!!!
Your style is soo clean and full of life! I've been struggling with my style, watching your video definitely inspired me 💞
This is such a compelling explanation. Thank you so much for making this video on rendering, it made me understand some things a little better. Btw, your style is very pretty ✨
No I love how simple your explanations are, I think I use a similar process to yours but I think I've been missing out on smaller shadows. Definitely use clipping masks, have been using them for years for shadows and highlights, they are a lifesaver. A lot of my recent art is more of cell shading too because I've been arting for a long time and I've gotten lazy over the years xD your tutorial is fantastic, A+
Tysm for this video!! This was super helpful right when I want to challenge myself on doing more detailed artwork, and your voice is super soft and relaxing 💖💞💞
imagine being this pretty and this talented!! im trying to be like you girl!
ty so much. ive been thinking of upping my rendering skill and this will be studied🎉
Абалдеть, случайно наткнулась на это видео, стало интересно посмотреть и, правда, видео получилось очень информативным!
А ваши арты такие вкусные, что бегом побежала искать соц сети😁
Ой, благодарю !! 😅🥰🥰
I love how you explain things and your art is absolutely beautiful. Color and rendering were always a big challenge for me, I learned so much from this, so, THANK YOU so much!
Omg thank you so much !!🥹🥰 And you’re welcome 🤝🤝
Yayaaaaaa our prayers have been answered!!!❤❤❤❤❤
I actually learned so much, awesome video
Amazing video! First time I understood rendering, and hurray I can use the airbrush now 😂 so many artist said never use it
You are way too underrated i love your art!!!❤
Oh thank you !! 🥰🥰
Im still learning how to color and draw so to me this is amazing
i think im gonna start rendering my art now!! i only do it sometimes but now that i have a simplified tutorial i can learn how to do it more professionally 🤭🤭
kryjovnik u r the coolest! 💯🎨💸🧸
This is one of the best videos I have seen on this topic. Simple, straight to the point, and gives visual aid. Thank you! 🩵
how this is amazing im a self thought artist as well and this video showed me many ways I can make my life easier, I usually shader on a layer above the flats but I always mix all the shadows and it makes it so hard!!. thinking about separating them from big shadows to little ones makes so much sense and that way I can actually get a smooth result on the skin!! so thank you. im gonna binge watch all ur videos specially the hair one u mentioned. this will help me improve my art to a different level. thank you so much!
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you found this helpful 😄🤝
Thankyou so much for posting this video! You are so helpful and I know you're definitely going somewhere with so much talent :))
Thank u so much !!!😄🫶🫶 glad you enjoyed the vid :P

Thank you for the tips I am def needing to familiarize myself with rendering.
Also wanted to say having your mic clipped to a plush frog is brilliant, props 😂🐸
I always forget a bounce light. This has been super helpful.
COOKIE RUN MENTIONED?! omg i love ur channel already, subscribed!
i love this video, love this :)
i remember when u only had 1k subs!! ur art is amazing keep it up
Oh yeah that was like 3 months ago that’s insane idk how that happened😳😳😳
Omg thank u! My colours have always looked off, I’ve never considered the saturation needs to be harmonious.
All I want to know is how to color and fold clothes. It's like a dream. Your drawing is very wonderful. Keep it up🍒🍒
helped me a lot, ty for those infos
Oh my gosh! I took a long break bc I was sick and I was like, I wanna come look at my favorite artist and you’ve grown so much! This is so amazing! Congratulations 🎉
Oh hey, thank you !! 😄🫶 glad you’re feeling better !! 😌
@@KryjovnikArt thanks 😊
+1 because you made a Muffet masterpiece.
really helpful thanks !!!♥♥
This video helped me a lot! You need more attention!!! :D
I was focused on ur face the entire time I didnt notice u were doing a tutorial 😭 its like...boom the video just ended
Amazing tutorial!. I would love to see how you draw clothing/ folds.
This is actually really helpful. Most videos just mention rendering but don’t go into detail and I’m stuck there like: what the heck even is rendering? What does that mean?!
Oshi no ko pfp 😭❤️
rly good!
I love your art! I still believe that you are insanely underrated! At what point did you start taking art seriously and get to where you are now? I hope to one day be able to make art like you ❤
Thank yooou!! 🦦🫶🫶 I’d say I realised I want to build a career in art at 16, 4 years ago, when I got to work on my first project in game dev, but I started taking it REALLY seriously after I dropped out of my university like 9 months ago to try doing art and hopefully TH-cam full time 🙂it’s complicated but it’s working out well so far
@@KryjovnikArt Thank you!! And i hope that you get far in your art career on youtube and everything because you are so talented and deserve it!! 🫶

Oh my gosh you drew the spider queen from Undertale! Also, thanks for the shading tips and everything, I find shading hard, but my art isn't as detailed as yours.
Yey finally
❤️❤️❤️
Your hair is so pretty! honey blonde
Do you use that same brush for the line art too?
Edit: I now see you have a line art tutorial I'll go watch it!
God bless you
I just realized that I have that exact same frog plush
very helpful
Always help me a lot!! Thanks💗
Can you do a tutorial about how do you draw in traditional pleasee, Im curious to know it 😿
Glad you enjoyed the video !! 🥰❤️ I don’t really draw in traditional , so I’m afraid I cannot give any advice on that 😅
Thank you for not gatekeeping
FUCK YEAH THANK YOU HOMIE
You’re so welcome 😌🤝🤝🤝
Искал медь, а нашëл золото

🥰
Hello mam i am first
YOU DRAW SHADOW MILK COOKIE OMG
i see herb cookie!
I cant render for the life of me so i just found an artstyle that doesn't require me to shade anything 😅
Бро реально крыжовник
where do you get your adorable frog plush helping out with your mic? i need him! haha
I got it from AliExpress years ago , he used to be a keychain , but the pendant fell off so now he’s just helping me with the mic 🐸
COOKIE RUN MENTIONED⁉️
Honestly 2x speed makes the video understandable
You can draw Muichiro from demon slayer ? Pls
Muffet :0
What drawing program do you use?
Procreate
Pls handle kirmit gently,🥺💚
MUFFETT????
йоу я подумала что вы русская, откуда вы?? Что за акцент?? Крыжовник ник??
ЕМАЕ ЭТО ТАК ПОЛЕЗНО БОЖЕ МОЙ. СПАСИБО
you are the most beautiful women i have ever seen. surreal shit
