Those 25-grand bikes are works of art and I'm happy for anyone who has spare change for one, tho' it would be nice to see something new and a tad more affordable. And thanks, Ollie, you are the best at this because you are a real kook about tech and that's a beautiful thing, nothing wrong with being passionate. 😀
@@pigupigu the design, development, innovation, vision etc are all Italian (or French, German, American depending on manufacturer). The cheaper labour comes mostly from Taiwan but it’s wrong to think that it goes much further than that. Let me guess, you’re an AliExpress fan?
I've got to say the LED torque wrench was mixed for me. All up for portable torque wrenches, especially for travelling, I just wonder about durability/serviceability of it. I would prefer an analog dial that doesn't run of of batteries and does not have lights that will go bust at some point. Is it IPX rated, btw? Whenever I see all these electronics added to everyday items part of just thinks of yet more waste ending up in landfill sooner rather than later.
T47 bottom brackets are threaded bottom brackets. Originally used by custom frame builders, like Sage Titanium and Speedvagen, to get away from pressfit and other pressed in bearings to have a more solid bottom bracket area with less noise. Most brands are going back to threaded bottom brackets for so many reasons, but to name a few, no noise for heavier riders, little to no spindle restrictions, and the fact that threaded bottom brackets can be installed and removed multiple times and still be safe to reuse, which is NOT usually the case for any type of pressed in bottom bracket. T47 also allows more clearance for bearings which means you can make bigger bearings for faster bottom brackets.
12 spoke wheels on the LOOK.. pretty slick That Swi layout of the carbon is incroyable! 12:45 with oscarmeyer wheels and those Clavicula cranksets being [holyshi] $11k together, having a pump design help keep from damaging them is right clever.
Those Look bikes - just fabulous - especially the track bike; would love one of those just to have on a stand in the living room on display - I couid stare at it for hours! But the most impressive thing on display? Got to be Ollie's hair - amazing! - but I tend to notice these things as I...erm... don't have any...
In regards to the Swiss bike “Nothing silly light” is extremely disgengenuous. The wheels and crankset already are supposed to be super light weight and considered by many as fancy.
Get one. The "gamechanger" helmet saved me from a head injury in a pretty hard crash in a crit. It didn't have MIPS either. I broke a collarbone and my head bashed against the ground pretty hard and the helmet cracked too. I didn't even get a concussion.
Low bottle cage mounts is brilliant and should be standard for all high end carbon frames. Low center of gravity and mass centralization are aspects road bikes need to adopt from moto gp.
That Madone of Mads, its not painted. Its coated in a colored gloss. Red gloss. Not quite painted. A much lighter solustion to get some color while in my opinion, my favorite looks for a bike. I have seen many colors, green, red, blue, black, purple, even one that appeared to be orange. Amazing.
With almost every bike currently in the world tour approximately 1 kilo over the UCI limit of 6.8 It's nice to see tech focusing a little more on the weight issue and the lunacy of tubeless finally waning.
Struggle with my Abus helmet. It is very narrow and I don’t have a fat head. Gives me a headache because of odd pressure points. Shame coz I love the look of it.
I hope that SWI bike is actually good and not a just for the looks bike. Abus helmets. Love the gamechanger looks but coming from the NA I am dubious about its safety if it isn't rated to be sold here, same with the Kask Elemento. Cannot wait for the videos about the BMC x Rbull crossovers! That was really cool to see on the GTN channel.
"sausage everywhere" yeah ok Ollie 😂 Cool to see a European superlight presence aobeit expensive its shown that the top end of design and engineering is still dominant in European.
Massive sausage, bigger knobs on the side, helmets that mushroom out on your head,“ my heads to big I need a bigger size, I am watching a tech episode aren’t I ?.😜
I wonder which manufacturer of bike came up with the recessed seat stay junction. My Argon 18 Nitrogen has the same design so I imagine it's at least a 8 year old concept.
What tech do you want to see?
Eurobike 2023 What Tech Do You Want To See? #gcntech #biketech
All the stuff on the bike made from European parts.
Titanium
Something that works and it´s sinmple and it´s not overpriced
More on those sausages
Ollie is in his happy place, lightweight bikes, gold chains and new tech in every direction he looks. Great look into all the new toys ❤
And a big sausage :)
@@DjangoUnhinged Didn't like it in this mouth though
Massive.
That was entertaining. Cool to see lightweight bikes. Those Look bikes are devastatingly handsome.

Love that the Swiss bike made in Italy is fitted with German tyres, while the Swiss bike made in Germany is fitted with Italian tyres. 😅
Challenge is the better choice
Great video! Ollie is the best to show his love of tech
"Can I have I MASSIVE sausage please" at the end, was completely unexpected but hilarious. My very loud laugh woke up my wife. 😅
He's definitely a cyclist because we could all see him shaking when he lifted that bike with one finger 😂
A climber to be precise
😂😂😂🤦♂️💪
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is a cycling show at a cycling event. If he wasn't shook by all that stuff, I would be ordering an ambulance
I’m an Italian bike fanboy but Jesus Christ…..that LOOK Blade RS is special. Mondrian livery and Corima MMC47’s 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Italy is pretty close to France, basically the same place 😂
There are no Italian bikes.
Your an italian bike? Is your bottom bracket like your heart?
Oh yeah, I had the same thoughts. But you know what, there’s place in the heart for french bikes too

Ollie is always fun to watch
I love how the Look bikes are rediscovering the horizontal top tube. lol
Just need to raise those seat stays up to meet the top tube and it’ll be sorted 🙂
Hoping Ollie covers the new German children's bike " Li:on" that Marcel Kittel and Tony Martin are promoting. Lots of cool safety features
will try and find it today!
@@GCNuser123 Awesome!! Thanks
That sausage sealed the deal towards the end.
Vielen Dank Ollie. Das war ein großer Verdacht.
That fully carbon no color framed bike wasss badassss for sure😍😍😍😍😍😍
Carbon fibre on SWI bike in an absolute beauty!
24.000 euro!! I have built a Canondale six13 2006 at 5.69kg for around 1.000 USD ;-)
Ollie channeling his inner Ramsay Bolton with the "massive sausage" thing hahaha
Those topeak stands are very smart !
The Topeak items looked fantastic. Will be checking them out. Thanks Ollie.
Amazing that they can make those so small, but seriously, is anyone doing a roadside repair going to care if they've perfectly torqued it?
@@DrewKimethey will when they over-torque their seat clamp and crack their carbon frame
@@DrewKime If you have carbon fibre parts that your life depend on, yes.
Are people going to be dumb enough to disregard this, also yes.
Ok, fair point. I'm used to aluminum.
Anyone know what the Topeak mini work stand for flats is called?
I knew Ollie was a fan of massive sausages, and big knobs on the side.
17:56: The look on the guy's face after Ollie asks for a massive sausage! 😂😂😂
That Swiss bike is 😍😍😍
Track bike headset bearings can be tiny because they only need to turn left 😉
I think the bearings are just semicircular for that very reason
Those Look bikes are so bloody nice ❤
Excellent review Ollie some amazing new tech 😃😃🚴🏻👍 great ideas from Topeak

Ollie, the Look track bike fork/headtube joint is called a bayonet mount, and Look has used it for 40 years.
Can I have a massive sausage please? 😂😂 I'm now going to relax with a massive sausage. You're too funny!🤣
Great video, cool gear, and a “massive sausage” moment that will live in infamy 😅
Ollie loves his Massive German Sausage... :) 😀
"Sausage everywhere".....ermmm, wait a minute...why you so excited?😂
Relaxing with massive sausage 😮
Ollie’s massive sausage came unexpected and got me by surprise😄

Hambini and Peak Torque are lurking around there too.
We shall wait for the report from the hotel.
"sausage everywhere" woah, phrasing my friends.
I wish I lived a little closer to the velodrome that t20 is awesome
I've been seeing tons of Abus helmets in the wild lately and considering getting one... They look great and are actually priced pretty competitively!

‘Sausage everywhere’ could take on a whole other meaning….🤗

And here I was, hoping for an update to the GCN stalwart, the Amazon Eurobike.
Impressive but just ridiculously expensive bikes, nowadays you can have a 6,5kg build for 2k, but rim brakes and 2nd hand :)

Love the new look all rounder and the weight sounds amazing but can’t help feeling it looks quite samey
That look TT is so aero and integrated but still they could not find a way to hide that di2 wire?
Is the new Canyon gravel bike there? Did shimano finally release the way overdue 12 speed GRX Di2?
Love to see Pinarello x3 reviewed

The cockpit of new Look is actually not one piece. It's a proprietary system so you can customize stem and bar combination.
Ollie specific says it’s modular and is easier than one-piece bar/stems
Hey do you have the name of the mini tool with an electronic torque meter ?
