My first building was a tower, and it took 3 sets of 4 hours to build. And it hasn't offered me to build a second building yet. RIP because the paradise planet I built it on has beautiful blue and pink glowing trees on it. It's gorgeous!
Last year I built a really nice little base on an island, took several months off from playing the game, came back today to check out all the updates... The island is gone, my base is floating ten feet over the ocean surface. It looked nicer when there was an island, I'm a little disappointed.
I had a paradise planet with no sentinals on it. Perfect wildlife, no irritating creatures and little to no storms on the planet. Updated the game and all of the animals went extinct which brang in other animals that are now severely irritating and changed the planet from a paradise planet to a boiling doom. Worst bloody time of my life. Spent like a year building the base.
I'd love it if you could have more than one settlement. Apparently if you start a new settlement it resets the old one! All that work gone. The idea of the community busily making permanent settlements all over the universe really appeals to me. Hello get their worldbuilding done for free by the community 😜
and that could add in a player-controlled economy. set up resource lines between your owned settlements to make them nations/empires and open up trade with other nations/empires
@@fishschtick8985 that is why its not permanent yet. They're not ready. Also if you just let an advanced settlement be taken over by another player they would get all the progress for free. I can already see pvp empires with that system in the future
I'm compeletely new to the game and don't get the online aspect of it. is it perma online? or only if I'm in the anomaly station thing where I can see other players. o.o
In my experience, the Settlement navigation charts would ALWAS point to a settlement on a different planet to which I am standing. So to get the planet of my choice I just flew off to the next planet and activated it there. First time success, as to ten wasted tries standing on the planet of my choice.
The only problem I have with settlements is that (at least for me at this current moment) they are pretty buggy. After switching to a different settlement and building the overseer office, the settlement/game wouldn’t allow me to create any new buildings, there wouldn’t be any NPC strangers offering settlement features, my settlement inhabitants wouldn’t have disputes, and even the sentinels wouldn’t attack. Basically my new settlement has basically turned into a unnaturally peaceful society that is in an ever growing pile of debt that can’t create any new buildings… until these bugs are fixed for me it is kind of a waste of time (again at least for me at this moment)
Ditto....found a nice B settlement after finding many many C ones. Now on a flourishing planet and I'm dead in the water. These praises for updates are annoying when they are broke day 1. People are idiots, be truthful so shite gets fixed. Like I said about Aliens new game recently if I had done my job as a nurse as bad as these devs do releasing games and updates alot of people would of died.
If only I could use personal funds for the settlement :(. I could pump in 300million daily and I would still have above 3 billion. And with my farms I could make them more money.
@@firstlast-fr1le yeah I get that, I thought about that too. Still though, theres not nearly enough things to do with the units. Creating a "mini game" is the wrong approach to take when the current game needs so much
I would like to see the settlement system get a upgrade. Once you reach a certain point of positive progression you are given the opportunity to let the settlement take over itself and it grows into a city.
I'm hoping they touch up combat in the future again maybe give us small factions or certain star systems that are caught in a civil type war, idek but it'd be interesting to see.
You know, we get disappointed constantly as gamers. Most of the time it's when we build up things on our own like announced expansions. Like we get all excited guessing what will be coming. We usually end up getting something totally different than what we built up in our heads and wanted and it's disappointing as hell. Hello games has a almost unique way if giving us something completely different than our expectations but still wowing us and doing great job. I was hoping for more ship customization and other things. When I found out we didn't get what I wanted I was very good with what we got.
@Master Monkey Considering I dont think its boring I would say its not a fact. Its my opinion. I enjoy having something else to do and keep an eye on. ;)
Nice boardwalks, definitely doing that today. I am in a T3 booming Gek system, posted to reddit. I'll keep updating my village to show progression from C to S and check back here with you as well. Good stuff as always friend!
As a single player enthusiast, the settlement really added a lot of life to the game and I can appreciate the "extra work". It feels very alive, natural and fun. The settlement never pesters you, except for when it's under attack, other than that, visit at your own leisure :)
if you play a lot per day it is easy to get production over maintenance. just takes a little more time. i got mine to class A within a few days. mine is producing cactus flesh and star silk. 100% happiness, 1,000,000 production. it can go up to 24 hours per production, yes.
So I had an interesting thing happen with my settlement. I got the mission (similar to everyone else), went there, and the settlement was absolutely atrocious, on a different star system than the one i have my home world in and on inhabitable planet. That bummed me out, so I just decided to completely ignore it. The mission lingered on and on, until eventually I decided to revisit it to see if I can maybe accept the settlement and then imminently retire. To my surprise the settlement was no longer there, but was moved straight to my beautiful paradise planet that i built my base on and the most dangerous thing that happens are the toxic plants and unactive sentinels. And once I got there, it was somehow inserted as a square looking crater which was surrounded by caves on its ridges. So I took that as an opportunity to make a big ass base inside of a very long cave overlooking the entire settlement. I must have got extremely lucky for that to happen lol
the only legacy part that I miss is the metal full glass wall. I love the floor to ceiling window, and I really don't see the option anymore with the new parts.
What is the 'reason' for wanting a village on your own home planet? in the beginning you'll fly there so with the distance between your base and the village you will always need to go up in space. and in the later game you will teleport between them constantly. so I don't see a reason except for the 'i like the environment of planet X better" which is totally fine though, but not really game breaking right...
I got lucky with the settlement planet. I'm still on my original game save and the first system I jumped to had a paradise planet with a settlement on it. Jumped in and the planet is fantastic, one of the better paradise planets I've found yet. Now I just have to get my settlement sorted out and happier, lol.
I never thought No Man's Sky would interest me and then this happened. The settlement system looks like a really cool start to something incredible. If they were to expand the settlement building and settlement defense, I think I'd be all over it. I'd love to be able to build defensive structures and walls and maybe even get the citizens to defend with me.
My biggest issue with the defense end is that I'm so, so tired of sentinels. We need an update with new dangers. Some kind of new extra dangerous anti-Traveler species that occasionally attacks your ship, your freighter, or your bases and settlements would be awesome. I'm imagining something like the Thargoids from Elite. Sentinels just don't spark anything for me anymore, they're basically just a moderate nuisance at this point.
@@ossiehalvorson7702 I still haven't played the game so I'm not familiar with the sentinels. I've just watched videos of it so far. I just want an involved defense and settlement building. I'd want to feel more like it's a settlement that I'm building/running and for that to happen I'd want more freedom with what I build.
@@schnoig_ I'm not getting my hopes up, but I have to admit that even if they never do, the game as it stands is perfectly acceptable as far as I'm concerned. for those who relocated to another settlement. Did you get a build mission or did you have to resolve a dispute right after building your command center? mine is built but I do not have any tasks to do at the new settlement for the moment. wondering if it is a bug or if I just have to wait. On the first settlement the missions to build your first building (after the command center) and resolving a dispute came pretty quickly, like in the first hour of arriving at the settlement.
@@Wolfcub23 same here regarding the debt and credits. I too have had 2 missions since, every 24 hours. Don't know if it's since 3.62 or just like that. A bit long though but fregates missions also take time.
not had lots of time to play as i dived in to test then decided to start a new save for a new community hopefully. I love the new wooden building parts, like the addition of settlements and hope they expand on it, seems to be a pattern, install new features then next they expand on them and beautify them. look forward to playing more
They should also give you the ability to change what material or upgrade the material that your settlement is made out of for example if your settlement happens to have been one that was built of wood you can later spend ferrite dust or silikit or whatever to upgrade it to another material allowing you to modernize a wooden settlement
I am pretty much just experimenting with my first one, but this vid answers my questions about new ones. I wish we could actually START one. One per system would be good balancing, I think
My first settlement is an "S" settlement. I have only built my office and one tower and now i have the "nothing bug". Not sure if it started as an "A" or an "S" Patch update......just now got a new build prompt. Thank you Hello Games for all the bug fixes you do so quickly.
If you use the time glitch, the maths rolls backwards when the time resets to normal. So your class drops and if your production is less than your maintenance else you'll be in a negative balance.
A nice thing, if no one noticed, is finally being able to hit V and being able to place an auction terminal and not have to glitch in 30 steps to do so.
Not sure I follow your logic @10:27. If it was just a matter of including electrical power conduction in the structural elements, it's trivial for hellogames to just add that to the original building pieces. It seems that they might have actually done that because the new parts that do conduct electricity also work with the old ones.
Regarding building, I like most of the updates, but I can't figure out how to rotate pieces vertically. R1 and L1 only rotate left or right, but I don't know how to angle it otherwise.
After getting the update, I booted up my game and was alerted to a settlement needing my help. I landed on a VOLCANIC/Firestorm planet finding a Gek settlement. B-ranked. Currently working on building it up until I can find an A or S ranked settlement.
When trying to Locate a suitable settlement location to begin Building (did this Post Expedition #3) Call up the Space Anomaly and visit the Teleporter>Other bases and Look through the Names . Took us only a few minutes scanning thorough the List and Chose a Hilbert Location Which when I landed I Had my Mission marker active and it was 5 minutes flying time distant and OK It was a C class But Like Kraze said the Terrain Was Perfect for a "Base computer" expansion and I Already Have begun adding The Basics on that Location Only Let down NO Power or Mining Hotspot but there is another 3 Points We can do more Bases around the Settlement and make up the shortfall PS Where we landed Sentinels are few and NO Bad weather unlike my other NMS saves where I'm Battered a Lot DO NOTE: The Bases on the Teleporter List Many are Dead Links, but you will Eventually come across Live links , DO read the Galaxy name they Link to and If it says anything other than Euclid then Not so Many have Got out that far !
I got screwed over with my og settlement because it was on a extreme frozen planet with constant extreme storms nonstop. This vid helped me get a settlement on a nice rainy planet.
I'm glad I found this video because I ended up getting a settlement on an abandoned planet that experiences hot temperature, combustible dust and extreme fire storms. My settlers just be chillin like "this is fine".
I was exited about the free build mode until I saw they removed the ability to rotate objects in all directions. If I can place the object floating in the air why can I only rotate it left and right and not up / down?
Managed to get a paradise (completely earth like planet) with no sentinels, light breeze weather.. 6 planets in the system.. 3 tier economy.. and got my settlement over the hill from my base.. which is also next to a colossal tower. Its dope.
I kept spamming thr quest across multiple system. Finally I got it to be on a freezing storm planet. So easy access to storm crystals. Storms do not effect the settlement, and settlement provides shelter from storm as does my minotaur mech.
i built my BASE at another abandoned building near my settlement. further than you suggest, but ive discovered a lot more stuff on my planet with that distance in between.
The problem is I've come back to the game for this new update and already I'm stuck trying to find "Aronium" to make my first building and there's no advice on how to get it on this patch so I've got to stop doing the settlement part already until I spend hours and hours finding some obscure element.
If you have enough nanites you can go to the synthesis laboratory on the space anomaly and buy the recipe to craft it. Also the recipe is 50 Paraffinium and 50 Ionised Cobalt
Have you done a Video yet on how to place floors within settlement area without grass/vegetation growing through? My OCD can't stand it when I see the vegetation still showing through it after I place a floor. Thanks for the hard work you put into your videos, much appreciated 👍
OK I only have one question: HOW do you can squeeze out more productivity - this is really frustrating not gonna lie. I have now a Saloon and a Market Place and it doesn't have helped a lot. Have had a expedition and installed the Sentinels watch-thing. The only thing that increased by 100% is Sentinel-threat from 40 to 80%..... Edit: it is in fact a B-Class settlement.. I have for example toxicated water, OK - why can't I build a water purification struckture or something :(
The light thing is BIG for me, I hated having to figure out the wiring for lights (I'm dumb), my farm is on my freighter, so making houses was more for looks than practically, so now i can get back to basebuilding
Also I found a settlement but now I'm think I may look for a new one, I totally forgot I could just reload the game after using the map (remember I'm dumb)
love the game and every update just makes it better and better, however there are a few things i wish they would add that would completely change how the game is played, especially from a co op perspective. I have several ideas that could make this game even more epic, but most of it is just wishful thinking. Multi-Crew ships This one is a big one. imagine a big cruiser that can hold 3 players. 2 gunners, and of course the pilot. This could be a new way to play the game and travel together using a single vessel, and would also open up an opportunity for new enemies to face out in space. Transport ships You know the freighter? what about something smaller, but be able to directly fly it like a star ship? imagine a ship that would take up 2 landing pads, it can carry 2 other star ships, one on either side of it, have its own inventory that is the same size as a good hauler, and can carry 4 or more players? you could land it in a freighter but it would hold 2 landing spaces instead of one, and would act as a global summon station for exocraft kinda like the freighter does already with the exocraft module. Buildable Space Stations This one we kinda already have with the freighters but what about a legit space station? What if they expand on the space mechanics and add stuff like space walking, low gravity, ect. and allow us to build bases in space? They could introduce an entirely new array of base parts to make it look like an actual space station. There you could have your freighter dock and customize it, from color to stats, manage its inventory, ect. This game has infinite potential but sadly i fear my ideas wont come to fruition with this particular game. I understand there is only so much you can add to a game before it takes up your entire storage device, lol.
I have a B class settlement with a population of 61, 68 % happiness and productivity 4x my maintenance. All positive features. They built quite a few buildings at first but there is still plenty of space and they don't seem to want to build anymore. I'm wondering of they are more likely to build when they are less happy or have more debt?
Yeah, I'm the same too, buddy. I've been 'living' on a paradise planet for ages and got a pretty sweet base set up so I wanted to get a settlement on this planet as it has pretty much everything I need. I'd then likely move my base closer to the settlement so it's more integrated (if that's possible?). I've reloaded my save 13 times so far and each time it is always off-planet.
@@markuskerloch I was able to build a base computer right next to the overseer terminal. I was planning to have the settlement above ground but build a vast underground bunker beneath the settlement.
The only issue I have with the building update is with the new corner roofing, you will fall through to a hitbox inside the actual item you placed. This also makes it more difficult to place fixtures on the interior of the same corner roof. Just breaks my immersion a bit. I haven't played in a while, so idk if this is fixed or not, and its not a huge issue, just something that was bugging me a bit.
So I had a very nice settlement pop up like a 20 sec ship ride away from my main settlement- I worked it up until I had to wait 4 hours for my landing pad to build. So I logged out and didn't play for a day- got on yesterday and the settlement had completely disappeared. I still have the quest in my log but no marker at all. Apparently they're in dire need of my assistance from sentinels now but I have no way to find them 😔 Might try that settlement chart trick and see if that might fix the glitch
Thanks for making this! My current settlement sucks so bad. First thing I’m doing when I play today is finding a new settlement, my current one won’t profit no matter what I do to it, and it has bad sentinel activity, and weather… and the planet is pretty boring in general lol! It’s like 200k in debt and isn’t turning up
I started this game a few days ago and I'm just wondering, how do I get sentinels to stop pursuing me? Only way I've found is to enter a space station, they will hunt me down through an entire galaxy non stop with no way to hide or evade them.. What do I do?
Just keep running or flying away until it shows the searching countdown. Depending on where you are you can go inside buildings, they cant attack you still while in there. But your number one issue is that it sounds like you are leaving the planet. Never do that unless you want them to hunt you endlessly throughout the system. Stay inside the atmosphere of your current planet until the search is over and they will eventually stop once you lose all LoS. ;)
@@avatarct82 Hey thanks for the response, I think my game was actually glitched, I had an account that I started back in the early stages of the game and I think continuing on that account broke some things, like the sentinels being completely unavoidable certain upgrades being invisible and weird stuttering everywhere I went. Have you had an issue of not being able to get a settlement to locate with the chart on a chosen planet? Last time I visited my base it had a huge plants growing through the buildings most of which I couldn't even get in anymore.
Add the terrain back under with the terrain manipulator
I think the settlements in wild environment planets should be in a bio dome, or the game should give you an option to make bio domes
Like how construction companies build over 55 community neighborhoods all over the US. They crank them out like an assembly line.
Preach it! Happy enough till they do exactly this!
NMS the game that keeps on giving. Looking forward to playing the update later.
And then the update after that. And after that.... And after thaaaaaat
Im gonna wait a few years to get back into it i had 3k of hours wiped lost all my data and cant get it back.
@@SemajResarf Sorry to hear that.
@@SemajResarf that has only happened twice to EVERYONE. When they reset the universe. Idgf if it wipes my shit. I'll gladly re do it again.
@@SemajResarf That is why you should always backup your save data either manually from time to time or automatically from your PC
Waiting 8 hours to build landing pad is annoying too
Same for me ... created the first house ... now no choice to continue, it keeps saying No decision. Im on a peacufull planet with bubbles
Same here, switched settlement and I’m not getting any prompts. I think I’ll sit this update out till further patches
Same here, I was able to build the overseer office and then nothing else happened
Yeah I thought this, looked at the debt and thought, I'll have that taken care of immediately lol
@@Egypticus wouldn’t even affect my spending
@@derek8685 Really wish we could. One of the biggest issues with this game is the lack of things to spend units on.
to be fair, settlments seem to be somewhat of a mini game within and what you want to do is likely exactly why they didn't allow it.
I could imagine that they later add the option for settlements to interact with other players settlements like trading routes or maybe warfare even.
@Master Monkey Welcome to the minority. I hear they have cookies.
@Master Monkey I feel like they're still experimenting, let's just hope they'll give this settlement system some nice changes later on
@Master Monkey Considering I dont think its boring I would say its not a fact.
Must be nice to see people enjoying the update. :’) my settlement has yet to give me a mission.
Wouldn't upgrading/adding buildings to your settlement delete base building that you do within the settlement boundaries?
7:40 "Simply follow these steps"
*Pulls out stairs*
the only legacy part that I miss is the metal full glass wall.
0:40 If somebody could tell me how to get a ship like that, I would be mighty grateful!
Looks sooo cool 😯
The fact that this isn't even 4.00 absolutely amazes me
Whats 4.00?
@@fallenIights It's the version of the game, the Frontiers update is version 3.60
One thing we really need is the ability to place down npc’s or citizens to make any base we have feel more inhabited.
Customised NPC aliens too maybe. And the 3 main alien species each need a proper home world with a decent population and settlements
i really do be just sitting here waiting for random events to grow my settlement :(
Thanks a million so much creativity and motive to game more
I never thought No Man's Sky would interest me and then this happened.
@@ossiehalvorson7702 knowing the devs thats most likely gonna happen soon
@@ossiehalvorson7702 I still haven't played the game so I'm not familiar with the sentinels. I've just watched videos of it so far. I just want an involved defense and settlement building. I'd want to feel more like it's a settlement that I'm building/running and for that to happen I'd want more freedom with what I build.
@@schnoig_ I'm not getting my hopes up, but I have to admit that even if they never do, the game as it stands is perfectly acceptable as far as I'm concerned. If there was never another update I'd be okay with that, they've far more than fulfilled their broken promises and I've gotten way more than my $60 worth.
@@mikeva3975 They're the machine life you see in the video, like the bipedal mech thing. There's only four major types though, one of them only in space, and that's where my issues lie.
for those who relocated to another settlement.
I got a okay settlement in a AMAZING location, it's on a ledge with a river going past it, it looks great
not had lots of time to play as i dived in to test then decided to start a new save for a new community hopefully. I love the new wooden building parts, like the addition of settlements and hope they expand on it, seems to be a pattern, install new features then next they expand on them and beautify them. look forward to playing more
Now I’m sad, I didn’t realize I could choose my settlement planet. And I’m already attached to the one I have on a desert planet
They should also give you the ability to change what material or upgrade the material that your settlement is made out of for example if your settlement happens to have been one that was built of wood you can later spend ferrite dust or silikit or whatever to upgrade it to another material allowing you to modernize a wooden settlement
I actually chose a cold hoth-like planet to get that desolated outpost vibe
The plant racks for carbon actually require no energy. Wire them in as normal, but do not give them power. They will still produce.
I miss the sub menu... if only we had 2 versions of the build menus.
Making decisions from a freighter room would be nice, I get that they want people to go back often but warp (loading) times make it inconvenient.
Creative mode player here. Update broke the door ramps for new bases. They won't link to a holographic door. Can't do much with settlements either.
I am pretty much just experimenting with my first one, but this vid answers my questions about new ones. I wish we could actually START one. One per system would be good balancing, I think
Easy like on your vid. You're guides have just been super solid and I appreciate your format and help.
Nice one Khraze, this is just what I needed thanks.
My first settlement is an "S" settlement. I have only built my office and one tower and now i have the "nothing bug".
Not sure if it started as an "A" or an "S"
Patch update......just now got a new build prompt. Thank you Hello Games for all the bug fixes you do so quickly.
If you use the time glitch, the maths rolls backwards when the time resets to normal.
So your class drops and if your production is less than your maintenance else you'll be in a negative balance.
7:32 is there a way to remove those lines/windows entirely from automatically being made into the wall?
I'm just trying to find a temperate planet with no sentinels... proving to be VERY difficult
my self rule with nms updates is to wait at least 2 weeks to try it, devs fix a lot of stuff in that time. also i want to paint my ship.
Awesome thanks! Wish i knew this before i struggled building 3 buildings on my settlement planet with blizzards every 3 mins!
Building over settlements will likely interfere with other buildings that are designed to be there.
Yeah prob wait till your decently in the progress of it
I’d say dont cheese it at all. It takes away from actual progression.
I'm just gonna have a settlement and make a 'mayor' structure off in a distance from it that is my prime structure
I would really like to have some sort of defensive options for the settlement.
After getting the update, I booted up my game and was alerted to a settlement needing my help. I landed on a VOLCANIC/Firestorm planet finding a Gek settlement. B-ranked. Currently working on building it up until I can find an A or S ranked settlement.
Nice... I have a 5 year old save with all the old stuff unlocked. Last played when they added living ships. Guess it's a good time to return.
Oh boy if you loved the waiting from that you'll love the waiting from this
YOU ARE A LIFESAVER WITH THIS VIDEO! THANKS MAN!!!
Does this kill glitch building?
When trying to Locate a suitable settlement location to begin Building (did this Post Expedition #3) Call up the Space Anomaly and visit the Teleporter>Other bases and Look through the Names . Took us only a few minutes scanning thorough the List and Chose a Hilbert Location Which when I landed I Had my Mission marker active and it was 5 minutes flying time distant and OK It was a C class But Like Kraze said the Terrain Was Perfect for a "Base computer" expansion and I Already Have begun adding The Basics on that Location Only Let down NO Power or Mining Hotspot but there is another 3 Points We can do more Bases around the Settlement and make up the shortfall
PS Where we landed Sentinels are few and NO Bad weather unlike my other NMS saves where I'm Battered a Lot
DO NOTE: The Bases on the Teleporter List Many are Dead Links, but you will Eventually come across Live links , DO read the Galaxy name they Link to and If it says anything other than Euclid then Not so Many have Got out that far !
When I tried the old small colored lights on the walls of new stone walls they didn’t light up. Also they sink into the wall…
Great content mate just subbed to your channel look forward to seing more of your videos.
Ah, finally! A NMS video that is both instructive AND helpful. Thank you very much for this.
Hey Dude ;-) Thank you so much for all of your good work. I’m going to start a NEW NO MAN’S SKY game tonight. Keep on posting you’re a a Dude 👍👍👍
I wish I could even start the game. Since the update literally all mine does is crash before finishing loading
There needs to be a way of adjusting graphics settings BEFORE the game loads. Maybe someone knows how to do this?
@@tomholy if you have an Nvidia graphics card use the GeForce experience thing to do it. Didn't fix my problem though
On my expedition save I found a a village next to an archive. It was perfect

I was exited about the free build mode until I saw they removed the ability to rotate objects in all directions. If I can place the object floating in the air why can I only rotate it left and right and not up / down?
thx you man this help so much
Managed to get a paradise (completely earth like planet) with no sentinels, light breeze weather..
Made one of those rock walls with the garage door on it. Hooked it up to my power grid and it closed and would not open while hooked up to the grid
i built my BASE at another abandoned building near my settlement. further than you suggest, but ive discovered a lot more stuff on my planet with that distance in between.
Anyone else experiencing game crashes since the update?
Multi-Crew ships
This one is a big one. imagine a big cruiser that can hold 3 players. 2 gunners, and of course the pilot. This could be a new way to play the game and travel together using a single vessel, and would also open up an opportunity for new enemies to face out in space.
Transport ships
You know the freighter? what about something smaller, but be able to directly fly it like a star ship? imagine a ship that would take up 2 landing pads, it can carry 2 other star ships, one on either side of it, have its own inventory that is the same size as a good hauler, and can carry 4 or more players? you could land it in a freighter but it would hold 2 landing spaces instead of one, and would act as a global summon station for exocraft kinda like the freighter does already with the exocraft module.
Buildable Space Stations
This one we kinda already have with the freighters but what about a legit space station? What if they expand on the space mechanics and add stuff like space walking, low gravity, ect. and allow us to build bases in space? They could introduce an entirely new array of base parts to make it look like an actual space station. There you could have your freighter dock and customize it, from color to stats, manage its inventory, ect.
This game has infinite potential but sadly i fear my ideas wont come to fruition with this particular game. I understand there is only so much you can add to a game before it takes up your entire storage device, lol.
Even then the game is like 12Gb
I have a B class settlement with a population of 61, 68 % happiness and productivity 4x my maintenance. All positive features. They built quite a few buildings at first but there is still plenty of space and they don't seem to want to build anymore. I'm wondering of they are more likely to build when they are less happy or have more debt?
i hate the grid. i want the quick menu option again
The game is glitchy as hell, need a bug fix mini-update ASAP
I tried that 10 times on my paradise planet and always gave me same planet off world
Same here 15 tries in 4 systems it always gave me the same planet's always off world from where I activated the map
I have questions.
0:11 how did you get paving for that settlement, and how did you get a teleporter there?
6:44 shows how.
sometimes when the settlement map refuses to work, i found that flying into the atmosphere (not into space) and using it worked
You can also just move the base computer in editing mode now, no need to build anything around it. Just move it inside and place it where you want.
Apparently they're in dire need of my assistance from sentinels now but I have no way to find them 😔
Might try that settlement chart trick and see if that might fix the glitch
Thanks for making this! My current settlement sucks so bad. First thing I’m doing when I play today is finding a new settlement, my current one won’t profit no matter what I do to it, and it has bad sentinel activity, and weather… and the planet is pretty boring in general lol! It’s like 200k in debt and isn’t turning up
You can research old legacy structures on the space anomaly but I suggest to use the new ones most importantly for the auto doors
Good review of base building. I'm impressed since it's only like the 3rd day after the update
I started a new file and everything is working properly now.
I bought this game when it originally came out, now I cant even recognize it lol, I should’ve keep playing.
Have you had an issue of not being able to get a settlement to locate with the chart on a chosen planet? I’m in a system with every planet biome and I’m trying to use the chart on the dessert biome but no matter how many times I reload a save or enter the system again it only points to the same settlement on a scorched planet… there’s 6 inhabited planets in the system. Went to the settlement to discover it and flew back in space and tried to locate again and still only found the same one.
