You're doing an excellent job. Very interesting and informative. I own an Alphard and have toyed with the idea of camper conversion, though my Alphard is fairly high spec. A tow bar and a modern used caravan might be a better route, or just save and buy a decent used motorhome.
When I saw the cost of conversion it's actually cheaper to buy a nearly new touring caravan.
Then I watch your videos and I'm back to toying with ideas again 😆

Thanks Chris, I appreciate the kind words. Don't tease me with your higher spec Alphard, haha. I would've loved more buttons/toys!
If I'm honest with you, I think a motorhome or caravan is a better route if you want more space. It goes without saying that I went the opposite way, but I can see the benefits of more space as it can get a little cramped in the Alphard.

My wife made curtains for ours which we hung up using net curtain wires attached via hooks with small pilot holes into plastic on the pillars. All work well apart from the 2 back door ones which have to hang down as you cannot get a wire top and bottom. Yours look great though and will do the job. For the front and drivers doors we brought a thermal cover from Rainbow blinds but no good for stealth camping, so another wire across the back of the front seats holds two curtains we draw when needed. The middle columns above the seat belts allow the net curtain wire to run from front to back so no holes in that column.

      That does sound rather good!
Maybe I need to try and do something like that, or perhaps a hybrid of what I have now and what you have (such a curtain would be great across the back of the front seats for me). Thank you very much for the inspiration.

Great video. Did you ever manage to adjust these to block out the gaps?

Hi Ashley, you get a shout-out in my latest video!

Thank you Julian. I said this over on your channel, but I really do appreciate it. I'm excited to follow your adventures in your Alphard and you've genuinely made me question whether the conversion I got was the right kind, but only time will tell!

Hi, really useful video so thank you. Can you still have your window open a crack and have these window covers on?

Hello Esther. Thanks a lot for the kind words. I honestly appreciate it. Regarding the windows and the screen covers, you absolutely can. I've found it best to open them first and then put the cover on as otherwise it can result in the covers getting slightly squashed at the bottom due to the window opening.

Not sure that company sell them anymore

Ah, that's a shame. Thanks for letting me know.
As much as I'd rather not direct people to Amazon, they are available on there. See: amzn.eu/d/1Psb5JK

Hi Ashley, the blind for the rear passenger side window only seems to fit if the shiny stuff faces inwards - have you found that?

Good morning Julian. I haven't found that, but I know there should be a left and a right version. There's no visual identifier on the blinds to say which is left or right, so it is a matter of trial and error. If yours don't fit, I suspect you've been sent two lefts or rights.
