I purchased a KS edition off amazon last weekend. Can't wait. My friends and I have been focused on co-op games like Descent 3, Gloomhaven. Lord of the Rings etc.
Great video Lee. How does Maladum’s difficulty compare to Core Space First Born. I enjoyed getting into FB but the novelty wore off as it was pretty unforgiving. Once the alert level went up I often had a tough time against the enemies.
So it’s a solo/co-op game, not pvp? Or is it sort of like the Fallout board game, where the players don’t actually fight each other, but try to out perform the other players?
It can be played solo/co-op or PVP. In PVP, you will each control a group of adventurers and then decide whether to help or hinder each other. You can leave each other alone or fight each other. It's based on the Core Space game system, but it's 'been reworked to provide a compelling fantasy experience'.
Its funny that people say GW is expensive when their starter sets are higher quality and lower price than this. Granted you do get more cardboard walls in this set though.

I think this game provides a nice balance between board game and skirmish game (like rangers if shadow deep). Congrats to battle systems

The tutorial game is fun, the Kickstarter is loaded, the Kickstarter terrain is loaded as well.
It was so cool to see their kickstarter doing so well.

did you ever go through a whole scenario in core space? I have it , just haven't actually played it
