I am recreating the iconic bulldozer scene at the end of Christine using 1/64th scale cars, and what better way to "kill" Christine than by using an actual 1975 Plymouth Gran Fury to do the crushing with. The video shows the process from test car crush to Christine crush, and a little bit in between. The final product will be debuted during Live and Let Diecast's Car Week in March of 2018.

We all wish that but they are hard to find lol. Best bet is to get a model car like me from ebay or amazon. The bigger ones with the working lights and everything I mean.

Great idea! Have you ever tried to do the same but using a be ch vice? Probably would have more control on the crush and what gets crushed?
I actually tried that before I did this one, but I wanted to use the car just for the fun of it lol. The vice does work a lot better too.
@@64Wheels. You are right though. Using a rear car made this video much more exiting. Was wondering how you didn’t run right over the toy? Must have had someone helping you know where you were on the toy?
I did both this one and a test crush by myself, I just was careful not to “go over the hump” that was the toy on the ground, bc I knew if I went too far it would crush it too much. It was that fancy foot work on the brake pedal lol.

Just a thought mate, you could try using a vice, if you know anyone who has one? I think that might do a pretty good job of crushing the back of the car in the manner that you desire.
It is sad to see these cars being maimed like this, but I understand, if you are building a diorama, then needs must I guess.
I actually bought a vise but then it broke the first time I tried to use it lol.....so I figured using a real Fury was just as good ha!

place in Tennessee where you can get so many Christine models it’s insane it’s called Cooters it was mainly meant as a Maroge to Dukes of Hazzard but well that didn’t pan out so you’re selling Christine merchandise and other things from other car movies in 164 scale
Cooters is great - been there many times! The best place to get the AutoWorld Christines is eBay to be honest - just sort your searches by cheapest first, and you’ll find the deals 🏁

I went to Hobby lobby the other day and I found a 1958 Plymouth belvedere diecast the same size as the ones in ur video.

What about a press(5 ton or something similar) just go slow with it on an angle so the back flattens out first

Brandon Hurst I used matches and held them very close to the car, slowly letting the paint blacken. It turned out pretty good too.
TRAPSPEED Photography okay cool. I got a pink and white Plymouth that I want to look burnt like that scene from Christine. Won't it melt the tires though?
Brandon Hurst the flame will melt rubber tires so I removed the tires before burning it. The Autoworld , M2, and Ertl/RC cars all have removable tires, so it works out.

Lol you could buy so many more than I have for $1,000. They are roughly $10-15 a piece, so you could buy around 100 of them for that price!

The back didn't crush because the rivet post is literally where you attempted to crush it
josemanueldsj 49 the rivet post will crush fine, just not with the crush force so spread out, as with the tire. I completely crushed the back of the car with a hammer to complete the bulldozed look, and it ended up turning out pretty rad.

DENSUTUBE2008 I obviously know to use a vice, but the point was to crush it with a real Fury. After the video I ended up using a hammer to crush the backend even more, and the results were pretty good as it matched the movie shot quite well.

@@64Wheels hey man I understand I know the movie by heart also we used to go rent movies every weekend and I always picked Christine lol good videos man keep it up I actually have a green auto world Plymouth fury and it has hub caps on 3 wheels and a chrome steelie on one of the back wheels a defect from factory it would make a good collector item
That’s cool - the AutoWorld Christine/Fury casting is by far the best one on the market. They really nailed the details and dimensions on it. The error car is cool - I like collecting errors bc a lot of them are 1 of a kind😎

This is not a rare car at all. It’s a regular release that you can buy anytime on AutoWorld’s website. They made tens of thousands of this exact car and you can buy 100 of them today if you want.
