If the Autoworld one had the colour and licence plate of the Hot Wheels car, it would be really accurate.
The wheels are accurate, Back then there were no steel belted radials we had what was called "Bias Ply" tires and the 50s cars which were designed to sit wide, low and long were put on chassis designed for cars of the 40s. back then no one noticed, but now.....it looks strange. Great videos, Im a new fan. I like the comparison videos and detailed close ups,

Correction* 1983 to be exact. Christine was a first for me. I remember watching it in film studies class. Amazingly terrifying and beautiful because it featured a classic two door sports car. I might watch Christine again someday.
The Hotwheels seems to be based off the car from right at the beginning of the movie with the color tone filter applied, I say this both because of the clear windows and also the pinkish orangey paint. Points for that, but on all other fronts it's the Auto World.

I got a johnny lightning collector item with the background of will darnell's garage place the hood opens with the engine from the auto making scene I got it at the auto show at the ix center I have knowledge of cars throughout the generations and all the glory.

I was lucky to find the Auto world Mijo edition version of Christine where in the movie, they see Christine for the first time with a for sale sign. I have that one and I got it for a really good price. Wondering if the version I have is rare?

Great, great comparison. I too have both versions. Although I really enjoy the wheels versions(there is some fun about their version) I tend to be drawn more to the AW version. I think it's the deeper red and that from grill that i really love. That's my take and thanks for sharing. Great video.

Hotwheels are for the kids amongst you who don't give a jot about authenticity whereas Auto World are aimed at the more serious collector when it comes to their authenticity to size and detailing. Auto World are usually made in limited numbers as opposed to Hotwheels that are simply mass produced. It's the same with the Howheels 1966 1/18 scale Batmobile, it isn't true 1/18 because it's slightly smaller than other genuine 1/18 scale cars by other brands. I hope Auto World get the license to release a true, genuine 1/18 scale 1966 Batmobile.

Bro; the reason the windows are black is because the stunt driver was visible during the petro stationl blow up scene. They had to blackened them out for that purpose plus the driver was in a suit so it had to be done a number of times. In the end they decided to run with that.

Bro, Yeah yeah,..we already know all that. But for the storyline the windows went black when Christine got angry.
I took two Autoworld '58 Belvedere's the Christine with the blacked out windows like seen here and the white with red stripe and beautiful interiors and swapped interiors. My Christine looks FAR better now instead of the blacked out windows. I collect all I can of these cars of all versions.
I honesty don’t care about hot wheels. Auto world wins my heart on all aspects.
I recently got the auto world Christine and it is worth every penny.
The AutoWorld car is much more detailed, but the HotWheels license plate is more correct looking

yes auto world die cast car are good than hot wheels but they are expensive what is the cost of auto world die cast cars

Hey, I especially like the Hot Wheels "Christine." It isn't a Pontiac, but it does have a wide track. Thank you.
Wide track, its practically a steam roller. Wheels in 1958 for automobiles were quite thin and elegant; hence why the streamline of the 1920s-30s-40s-and 50s worked so well. Autoworld understands more than the world of route 66 that hotwheels loves to eat at. The white wall tires are what I'd find on one of those 1934 ford coupe hotrod abominations. Absolutely horrible job, they had a 1950s pack that I saw, absolutely ridiculous.

I like the autoworld Christine better. The color, the dark glass, the wheels n just everything about it is awesome n it's definitely one of my favorites in my collection. But she'll be number 2 favorite in my collection cause my greenlight 67 chevy impala from the tv series super natural is my number 1 favorite in my collection

Like M2 the AWs seem flimsy to me. The few I've bought so far hardly roll. I suppose I'm more about aesthetics being a collector but quality of parts is also important. So where HWs may skimp on detail AW skimps on durability.

Nice video - well compared - full marks to Hot Wheels for scaling accurately to 1/64 - it's great when they do - I wonder what proportion of Hot Wheels castings are accurate to 1/64 - maybe 70% of what they produce?
Hotwheels isn't scaled accurately when it comes to much of the detail. it's a bloody mess. Hotwheels have always been massed produced and cater more for the casual buyer whereas Auto World are more for the serious adult collector and are usually in limited numbers making them more collectable.

Yea, the HWs looks rough up against the AW! I like the HW's lic plate better, it is more accurate than the AW, but the rest looks bland compared to the AW!
In my opinion it's almost like apples to oranges cause hot wheels just falls so short of the mark set by A.W.
To be honest they both look good but... Auto World is... 99% percent better.

I have them both. The HW version looks so much better. The AW looks cheap with the painted bumpers and hubcaps and the painted on window trim. I used the clear glass and chrome hubcaps off of an M2 '58 Belvedere on my AW. It looks so much better. AW is junk and not worth anywhere near what they cost. The same with M2.
Why would a chase piece be hard to crack? I’ve never understood this logic. I thought you were a loose collector? And unless you buy to re-sell (aka scalper) whats the value matter? It’s no less a chase out of the package. Open it and enjoy it. It’s a toy.
Hotwheels versions are toys, Auto World are aimed at the serious adult collector because of their authenticity when it comes to size and detail.

The Hot Wheels one looks just bad (not to the bone). It's a shame that such a perfect car gets such a crappy version. Also on the Auto World version, the engine should have golden air filter, since Christine has a Golden Commando V8, but even in the movie they got it confused so...
Hot wheels... shameless like always, i dont like their cars, i dont buy them anymore long time ago, they look at the great autoworld work do with christine 58 fury and they try to do something similar with bad results, nice video!

Hotwheels are for people who want a cool looking car for cheap (at least before they hit the secondary market). they seem like crap when you start getting into the more premium adult oriented die cast brands. HW is like the Mc Donald's of die cast cars.
