Thanks for watching! It’s a fun process building the original modulars! Plus parting them out gives you the opportunity to change things up and make them your own!
Very cool! It's almost amusing seeing those 5-brick high doors on a modular -- those things feel sooo old school now, from my 80s-90s era. Nice process summary and review dude!
Thanks Matt! I agree those doors do look odd! The crazy thing is that the 6-brick high door frames were available at the time. One is used for the side cafe entrance as well as the cafe windows. The glass door inserts must have come along later though!
Excellent video. The organizational set up for the build is also a great way of working on a parted set. I may need to borrow that. Explaining the part substitution also helps a lot. Some of these sets get so expensive because of one or 2 parts being crazy rare.
I think some of the gray turntables can be replaced woth 2x2 jumper plates. Not all of them - it depends on the plates placed on top - but definitely some of them.
Looks awesome man. Thanks for sharing your process!! I will definitely need to build my own modulars in this fashion.

Thanks for watching and the comments! I have more substitutions to discuss in Part 2!!
