These videos are just next level. Im just starting out with the Nisei System Gateway Complete Bundle and what was a very daunting proposition, learning everything involved with this game has been turned into pure excitement as i look forward to getting to grips with it all. If it was t for this series of videos i dont think i would have dipped my toes. So thank you guys so much, and i really hope theres enough of us out there that would still like more of this content. Lets have a Nisei/Netrunner revival 🙌
This is how I like to thematically explain the different Netrunner factions as briefly as possible: HB = Control of Technology Jinteki = Control of Medicine NBN = Control of Information Weyland = Control of Commodities Anarch = Motive to Rebel against the system Criminal = Motive to Steal from the system Shaper = Motive to Bring Change to the system Your results may vary, but these simple descriptions really flesh out why certain cards belong to a given faction. Again, my personal experience and observations, but it makes explaining Netrunner to newbies easier.
after so many yrs of playing Netrunner and even more of playing card games, its still so easy to forget the basics of deck building. TC is always a great watch!!!
Nice video. I would just add that choosing ice for your corp deck, try to have a mix of cheap ice vs expensive ice so you can get something you can rez in the early game.
Great vid guys, love seeing this almost 2 years after and still learning new things every day! Any chance another core game video shows up with these decks in play?
You're at 21 points, cut the False Lead!! Great video guys. Our play group will definitely use these to bring in new players when the Revised Core Set arrives.
Covenant without your coverage of netrunner it has no voice in my area in uk willingdone is not around so I’m missing the coverage full stop can’t thank you enough for the time you take to do these
Lol see I didn’t even know 2018 was the End game , devastated but proud to own so much of it . Was great in the 90s even greater this time around , end of an era . Much love 💖
Such a great video, thanks for making it. Just what I needed to get my brain wrapped around starting to build some decks. When you organize cards for this game, do people typically sort them by function, rather than by expansion? (Grouping ice breakers, money, agendas, etc...)
Yeah, it is a mixture of the old Core and the first two cycles. It also has a lot of new card art! More here: teamcovenant.com/android-netrunner/learning-series-how-to-play-tutorial
Team Covenant Sorry, I meant to ask when will it be back in stock? I see it out of stock at your store, at FFG's store and also Amazon. Would u know? I really want to try this game but only see available the other core set. Would u recommend me waiting on the revised one?
Great question, we discussed it and definitely recommend waiting on the revised set. It looks like FFG is currently reprinting it, so it could ship any time.
hi i cant find original cards in my country and i printed 2019CORE proxy cards from netrunnerdb.in rule book it says Corp cards in total 134 and runner cards 114 but core set has only 147 cards in total. i just confused :S whatelse i need to print to play core game? thanks
The Shaper deck with Chaos Theory actually counts up to use of a total of _24_ influence value - not 15 (2x Inside job, 2x Emergency shutdown, 1x Ice carver, 1x HQ interface, 3x Faerie). I didn't see you guys cutting these cards. Mistake or what am I missing? I want to play legal ;p
Hey Shanga! There are no Faeries in the finished deck, shown here: th-cam.com/video/jdf_pysDZHI/w-d-xo.htmlm12s They got cut pretty early in the process. The finished deck is everything you listed sans Faerie. You can also find an official starter deck (Kit) on the blog here: teamcovenant.com/android-netrunner/learning-netrunner-shaper-rielle-kit-peddler-starter-deck
For people just getting into the card pool, would you recommend sticking to a single runner and corp faction and perfecting them, or just go for a well-rounded collection of decent cards?
You can build all of the decks we use in this series with just a handful of products. This includes the core set, deluxe expansions, and the following data packs: Blood and Water, Crimson Dust, and Escalation. If you are looking to start for less than that, we would recommend choosing a deck from our Learning Netrunner series and buying the specific products that are noted as being used for that deck. You can find links to a deck list for each faction on the Learning Netrunner blog: teamcovenant.com/android-netrunner/learning-series-how-to-play-tutorial
That is a great question. Lets add an #AskCovenant tag here, and we will try to discuss it in an upcoming Covenant Cast! In case we do not discuss it, it is because it is currently "Out of Print" and awaiting reprint. FFG does this occasionally, and you can check for updates here: www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/upcoming/
Ugh, I'm watching this while there's a desert of card availability. One of the expansions I'd love to get my hands on is Order and Chaos (impossible to find unless you want to spend about $100 or more) and here he goes just pulling one out from off screen. It made me cry a little.

Yeah, due to the revival of the game, this still holds value today

TC is always a great watch!!!

Thank you for the kind words Paul! Good luck on all your future Runs!
Thank you sooooo much for this video series. We want to see this game flourish!
Watching these videos makes me wanna hop on a plane and visit the store. One day....great video once again.
Just getting back into the game, really useful videos 👍☺️
you guys are making a hard game to start so much more fun to start! thank you!
Nice video. I would just add that choosing ice for your corp deck, try to have a mix of cheap ice vs expensive ice so you can get something you can rez in the early game.
Every time I am reminded in how many ways this game is outstanding
Great video as usual, you guys have hyped me up for this release, can’t wait to play my first game!
Great vid guys, love seeing this almost 2 years after and still learning new things every day! Any chance another core game video shows up with these decks in play?
You know it!
You're at 21 points, cut the False Lead!!
Great video guys. Our play group will definitely use these to bring in new players when the Revised Core Set arrives.
More agendas is more fun for everyone, right?! Great to hear, Keir. Let us know how it goes!
Sous-chef is the word looking for with respect to the kitchen assistant.

I am a casual gamer of Netrunner and I love it! I so wish you could maybe cover some old LCGs in this way, Warhammer Invasion comes to mind ;)
YES!! Netrunner Content!!! i LOVE IT!
Great video guys! I hope you will do some more gameplay :) really hyped
Fantastic video, thanks for getting me into the game guys!
Can you make and show the deck of mainly Criminal and all the influence cards are Shaper?
Lol see I didn’t even know 2018 was the End game , devastated but proud to own so much of it . Was great in the 90s even greater this time around , end of an era . Much love 💖
eRa2 / RazR 2020 They still make cards though.. it isn’t dead
Hey guys! Thanks for a very helpful tutorial. I was wondering if you can post the decklists aswell :)
As we move through the series, decklists will be posted here: teamcovenant.com/android-netrunner/learning-series-how-to-play-tutorial

Yeah, that is how we do it. A lot of times it is Faction -> Type -> Cost
And here I am back at the same video 3 years later, to remember the basics as I dive into Nisei :-)
BOOM!
Could it be that the revised core set is the old coreset with some cards thrown you and added cards from the first datapack cycle?
Yeah, it is a mixture of the old Core and the first two cycles. It also has a lot of new card art! More here: teamcovenant.com/android-netrunner/learning-series-how-to-play-tutorial
Hi Guys, great video, 1 question, both in casual play and tournament play, how do you decide who will play runner and who plays corp.?
Each player has to bring both a Corp and a Runner deck. A round consists of two games, with each player alternating between Corp and Runner
A match is generally one of each - you play Runner against my Corp, then I play Corp against your Runner!
@@teamcovenant you mean … you play runner against my Corp, then I play runner against your Corp
Hey guys! Awesome tutorial! So when will the revised core set be out? I cant find it available anywhere. Greetings!
It actually came out last December! goo.gl/eR4nac

Who else noticed TWIY scrolling down the bottom of the screen? :p
Anyone else distracted by the white dot under Steven's right nostril?!?.....that being said, great video guys! As always!
#learntoshave
Why can't I get a revised core for. Less than $100?
