So I'm a latecomer to the game. For years I had participated in your subscription service and just collected the entire game but rarely got to play it. Now that one of my stepsons has graduated into full board game geekdom I recently introduced him to Netrunner. We are now starting from square one and are beginning our journey with the revised basic boxes I had squirreled away (ordered 3 at the time). Your videos are a fantastic way to help us along. Thank you for all of the content. Great stuff, even five years later.
Another fantastic learning experience! I've been playing for over three years and every single section of this lesson had some watershed nugget of knowledge for me! Make no mistake: y'all are doin this right. Thanks Again!
Thank you for your very kind comment! A big part of why we love Netrunner is that it goes so deep, you can still be learning things years into the game.
Thanks for an outstanding series of videos. The content is spot on for new players. The lighting, colour and audio combined with the clear presentation styles make the viewer feel like they're sitting at the table with you. The on-screen reminders of card text are timed to perfection, preventing any "what just happened?" moments and keeping the videos moving along since the viewer can pause and rewind to re-read card text. First class!
We set out to create these series to make it as easy as possible for new players to start playing, so comments like these really make everything worthwhile. Welcome to Netrunner!
Can it be?! The Series isn't over?! The Netrunner Gods be Praised! All that we need now are the Worlds 2017 top 2 of the Swiss decks in a match series before they ban CI.... Merry Christmas guys.
Hi! Just a correction regarding Film Critic and Obokata Protocol, you don't actually need to suffer the 4 net damage anymore. The damage occurs 'when accessed' and Film Critic says the 'agenda is no longer being accessed'. Also, it's 'add to your score area' ability does not count as stealing so you do get around other corp effects (like Hunter Seeker) that way. It's really good and that's why it's on the restricted list (for tournament play) alongside Magnum Opus. Even as an experienced player, I really enjoy watching your show. Thanks!
I used to play quite a bit but stopped playing around Data & Destiny. Glad Netrunner is seeing a resurgence. One advanced topic I'd love to see you guys discuss is the following: my experience has been that the higher the level of play, the more you see runner wins. Way more than 50/50. That may not have been true when the game first came out, but with the card pool now, I find it a struggle to get Corp wins. Particularly using a classic remote server strategy to advance agendas. It just seems like good runners have answers to everything. I would love an advanced Corp guide and discussion.
Guys, I just want to tell you that your videos are great and I love the format and polish you have on all of them! I got Netrunner for christmas and have just started getting into it. Your videos have not only been invaluable to my first games, but a total pleasure to watch. Your calm, clear explanations and fun banter are just top notch. It'll only take a couple more games to make me cave and get your gorgeous data token packs... I'm frankly amazed you don't have more subs because you really do deserve them for the effort you've put in! Keep playing!
Great video guys! My friends and I have been looking into deck building more and this will give us direction and some ideas to explore! Win or lose, we've all been having a blast playing Netrunner! Thanks for teaching us!
Shared this with our local group. Makes my brain tingle when we can discuss the decision tree of "value." Like a word problem for the ACT. If running a server costs 8 credits but you have e 2 bad publicity, an SMC, and a dirty laundry, but the corp has 16 credits, two cards installed in the remote and has added an unrezzed ice--solve for x. That's why I love the game more than any other.
this was great!! Netrunner is so deep when it comes to deckbuilding, and you two nailed the major pts!! biggest one for me is always economy and the best economics is so dependent on the individual strategy. Anarch and Weyland for the win!!! (my factions of choice)
wasn't expecting this video ... your Videos are amazing and to be honest ... i think i would watch a 7 hour video :-) Merry Christmas to all of you from Austria !!!!
This is the most recent Netrunner video I see from you guys. I'm assuming you've heard Fantasy Flight lost the license to the Netrunner LCG and will be discontinuing production. Thoughts? I was considering getting into the LCG just based on Team Covenant videos alone (quite helpful), so this is a bit disappointing. Glad I didn't pull the trigger, however.
Just bought my revised core set today! My friends and I had a good deal of fun with the original core set, so this should be fun! As a question, where should I go from here in terms of collecting? Deluxe boxes or packs? Is there a deluxe box that's a good "first" box to buy?
Deluxe expansions are definitely the next place to go! You can check out the deck lists on our Learning Netrunner series to also get an idea of what packs are important to grab next, depending on the Runner and Corp factions you are interested in trying: teamcovenant.com/android-netrunner/learning-series-how-to-play-tutorial
#askCOVENANT I haven't started playing Netrunner yet. Just read the rules and watched 3 of your videos. What I don't understand: In this vid you are talking constantly about adapting your deck to the opponents cards. How should I do this? Don't both build they decks secretly, reveal it while playing and build another deck next time? So I actually can't predict what I need. How and when should I adapt?
Thanks for the great vid! Q around the '50 net cred' rule of thumb, how do you calc net return for recurring credits from cards like Multithreader, cloak, omni drive etc? set an average turn count? #askteamcovenant
I'm so sad that the game has been flatlined and that all expansions are now unfindable/too expensive. Are there any expansions that you would absolutely recommend if I can find them? I only have a 2012 core set at the moment.
@@teamcovenant I followed your advice and got the NISEI packs. I also managed to find a second 2012 core set and the two first cycles for cheap, meaning I could build a 2017 core set equivalent. If I a missing a card I really want (like Aumakua), I just print a proxy. Thanks for allowing me to get into this incredible obsession of a game!
Where are you guys?! Also after the expectations where is your Last Jedi review...? Its been a while now since it was released, but while I enjoyed it in the cinema, the more time goes on the more I dislike it..... Also, whats interesting is that while in the West the Critics and audience score of the movie is different (90% v 50%), in Japan the press and Audience is the same! The Japanese press are echoing the audience critics (Last Jedi miss the point of Star Wars etc). Make you think!

What a story! Glad to have you along Michael.
DO NOT STOP.... you're setting the bar for these types of videos. Consider committing resources to this long term as a revenue source.
Thank you and we have no plans of stopping!

Great job guys! the deep dives into Destiny, L5R and now Netrunner have been amazing and IMO raised the bar on this type of video content.
Thanks! We are excited to continue evolving this format, so stay tuned!

Love these videos. Just started my collection this past Christmas. I really wish I could find more local players. The search begins!
If you have Facebook, you might want to check out this group: facebook.com/groups/netrunnerdorks/

Thank you Matt! We have a few sets of Data Tokens reserved just for you...
Team Covenant thank you kindly :D

You are absolutely welcome! Enjoy!
Some of the best netrunner advice I have encountered ;-) Please keep up the netrunner videos guys!!! Spread how awesome the game is!

There is nothing quite like a good brain tingle! Netrunner really is something else and a game that we hope is around for many, many years to come.

Just getting some tips so i can do better with Null Signal's version while learning on Jinteki
Amazing vid! Congrats!
You guys need to make one like this for the Corp!
Tks!
wasn't expecting this video ... your Videos are amazing and to be honest ... i think i would watch a 7 hour video :-)
Merry Christmas to all of you from Austria !!!!
Thank you and happy holidays!
Why not count the click you used to draw the economy card? Great videos btw.
Great video, please don't stop to make some exiting NR commented match!
God i miss this shop when i was in tulsa most chill place to have a beer and play games.
Miss you guys
this video was great. lots of great insight.
Great work again guys!
Thanks!
This has helped a lot thanks you!
Enjoy!
Oh man. Bushido Blade 2, to this day, is one of my all time favorite games.
Love these.
Your love is appreciated!

We have indeed heard the news. Covenant Cast 59 should be posted today, it contains our collective thoughts! Keep an eye on the channel.

Thank you for this. I’m in cyber security so this is an really interesting game

Great question MiBSuM! We will try and answer that question in an upcoming podcast! #AskCovenant
Haha, ok, I have subscribed now. :o)
Thanks for the great vid! Q around the '50 net cred' rule of thumb, how do you calc net return for recurring credits from cards like Multithreader, cloak, omni drive etc? set an average turn count? #askteamcovenant
Great question Tony!
why in the core set it does not talk about mu and how much the runner has to start
Unless you have a mis-printed rulebook, this should be on page 18 of the learn to play guide that comes with your core set!
I'm so sad that the game has been flatlined and that all expansions are now unfindable/too expensive. Are there any expansions that you would absolutely recommend if I can find them? I only have a 2012 core set at the moment.
It's a total bummer. Get locked into Project Nisei: nisei.net/about/nisei
@@teamcovenant I followed your advice and got the NISEI packs. I also managed to find a second 2012 core set and the two first cycles for cheap, meaning I could build a 2017 core set equivalent. Why do you say "God rest its soul" regarding Darwin?
aspiringloser if I had to guess, I'd say it's been placed on the "most wanted" list, which is to say it has been banned from tournament play.
Ah, okay. That makes sense. Thanks for the clarification.
For the math you didn't count the click to draw the card it self.
In reality sure gamble only gives a 2 cridits advantege.
The guy on the right must be better as he’s 5 influence
Where are you guys?!

Recording the first podcast of the year this week! I imagine we will have to discuss Last Jedi.
