To be fair, the GT86 is not supposed to be super fast. It's supposed to be fun to drive. Not to mention it's like $25,000, which is basically the price of the GT's windshield.

Modern mid range fast cars have barely any hp under the hood and completely destroy 40 year older racecars with twice the amount that they have, wonder why -_-. Hp doesn't mean sh if you're comparing modern tech to old design.
deari900 Horsepower is extremely important. A 1969 Dodge Polara 440 police car is faster than most police cars on sale today even though it is almost 50 years old.
160hp difference in a standing dragrace makes suspension and most other things pretty irrelevant yes.

The first screens are ridiculously expensive because they need to create the moulds they use to make them. Subsequent (i.e replacement) screens only cost a few hundred each.

This car has to be one of the best looking . I can see why corvette took a page out of this book in the mid 60's with the C2
Love to have one in Lime Green. Like the convertible the coupe is perfect because your out of the rain and dry-makes a huge difference. Another beauty done by Eagle-WELL DONE!
The GT86 is a tuners car. A lot of people buy it stock so they can tune it to their specs and make the performance a shit ton better. With the Eagle you don't really need to tune it unless you really need to. Its already insane stock.
Yeah, Eagle spend enough time doing that for you; that's why it's so expensive.
plus you would have to know what you were doing if you wanted to tune a 800,000 pound classic
So um, The GT-86 has about 200 HP, is heavier, and isn't meant to be fast in a straight line speed. It's meant to be enjoyable in the corners. So that drag race proves nothing

Eagle also improves the standard e type, so you could take an e type to them, and they'd tweak it to make it work perfectly, and it'd look original. I think that's what I'd do tbh.

They managed to make such a near-accurate modernized recreation, they even got the blue smoke, as it's burning up oil along with benzene. This thing's almost as thirsty on engine oil as it is on gas. An absolute beauty, for sure.

On the F-Type I would buy the V8, because the V6 is Fords 5.0 , with V6 heads and cancelled Cams. With V6 heads and you can see the piston to the firewall. F-type SVR or R, too bad no Manual Transmision.
I really like the idea of classic and fancy with modern and sporty.

5:40 I totally agree with Clarkson. Even though I'm a big fan of V8, I myself would also take the V6 over the V8 with the F-Type. The V6 sounds much better than the V8.
It has cooling and a fuel delivery system that works; see, the Brits can build a car that functions. Are the electrics an improvement over the Lucas electrics of the 60s?

+Jack Wheatley Well all the eagle cars are literally tailor made for the buyer so it's not like they couldn't make that interior for the Low Drag GT. I'd get the GT with the more classic spoke wheels and in british racing green or dark red.

Just by chance I came back to this video 5 years later. And this segment is still terrible. The Eagle is beautiful don’t get me wrong. But let me get this straight, what makes it great is a shift nob with a 5 on it I can get at any Autozone store, and a piece of lexan that I could cut out on a bandsaw with some hardware I can get at Home Depot.
And no lol, curved windshields are not gonna die out because the people that knew how to make them have died out. Top Gear is great, but this segment is just horrible and did the car no justice.

this was brilliant this is what we need from topgear this was what we called top gear. now where is it ?. you can't do without them. I mean even i grow up with in 90s with this incredible voice and career with watching BBC means watching topgear for me and topgear means Jeremy Clarkson & Tiff in the 80s & 90s.. and after starting the new series in 21 sentry it turned out to Clarkson Hammond & May and how the hell do you make top gear without that legends. they were absolutely brilliant. In this whole world a man lives in deep in my hart after my parents is the Jeremy Clarkson no one can't ever change it. So what you done to him BBC end of your word go to bloody hell BBC. I or millions of people in the world never need to watch new topgear ever again.
