- That's right, WE'RE BACK WITH ANOTHER EASTER SPECIAL! Today, we're once more trying to guess which nations are controlled by players and which are controlled by AI. You can play along by watching the video and keeping score! This is an EU4 Discord video resulting in an EU4 Challenege! We get points for guessing correctly, we lose a point for an incorrect guess as well as sneaky things like releasing a nation having an impact! Let's see, who's an EU4 MP Player, and who is an AI?

The guy who played Poland must have been a Pole, he renamed provinces into actual polish words so that it would make sense and not look too obvious
Indeed I did, I renamed most of them to either curse words or names of towns next to those being replaced

I mean, if someone play a french vassal and somehow doesn't get annex for 50 years, it would be pretty sussy
@@clementlefevre5384 is there a way you can prevent ur overlord to integrate you other than someone supporting your independence? like some kind of diplomacy thing to make them be in war a lot or causing their other vassals to be disloyal or something? or spying & causing problems? stealing stuff? i dunno.. im just guessing. i dont have all the dlcs so dunno what options there are.. ud think there would be ways to sabotage ur overlord...

Also 47:56 - really close to seeing a renamed province but instead you just looked at the nation I released. Pretty sure if you right clicked and saw that they were my vassal I'd have been caught but since I *don't* have a skill issue, I wasn'tn
God I wonder what idiot would pay nearly 2 thousand ducats for 2 light ships and bankrupt themselves, meaning they couldn't tech up a single time all game.....

What I'm really surprised by is that no one noticed that Norway had "The Scandes" as a province.
Well, when you right click a nation to open diplomacy tab, you can see if their ruler is militarist diplomatic etc. Human players doesn't have that, they have a question mark.
They can't see that in observer, look when they right click.
@@aliofhwice3502 2:07 Granada has balanced ruler. 2:14 Ottomans has Unknown (player) ruler. Also AI can create yellow province of interest but players can't (except for claiming provinces of course).

Or you play as a native in the new world, rename your capital, then migrate. If you want to be super sneaky, you can declare war and force them to take your renamed tribal land.
For ming, you are suppose to play as the last released vassal. They can understand if they look at the history tab.
@@yusufdemir4289 maybe destate, restate every Provence so you can lower autonomy to get rebels, wait for them to take over most of your country and right before they break your country, release and play as one. Although then they could still see the vassalage, but I’m sure you can declare right away on the overlord.

This does seem like a bizarre way to count the points. Renamed provinces should not count if you specifically notice it. Likewise with released nations.
Otherwise, someone could do something like play as Florence, rapidly form Tuscany, rename a province, and then release a nation. And they can do that FAST. Now, no matter what, you've lost points on this person. Even when you point them out, because it's going to be obvious, that's a total -2.
it doesnt really matter how fast they can do that because they only played the game for a little over 10 years. now i dont doubt there is some way you can get tuscany in 10 years but i sure as hell would not expect an ai to do it
If I were playing here I would conquer neighbouring provinces, rename and release, and do this repeatedly, so that they maybe will fail once, but then it becomes very obvious that a player is messing up the region

@@graysondavies2174 That's the thing, if you manage it, even if they notice, it's a -2, total. And if you release and *play* as the released nation, then there's a solid chance that they guess incorrectly, which is another point.
You can't form Tuscany that early
Poland was definitely a player, they renamed Przemysl to Przemus and the province above Poznan to Kurwow.
27:51 found a zazzau player bc usually one of the provinces is zamfara but it changed
that would be me. i'm pretty shure i renamed all the provinces i conquered plus two of the ones i started with since there were so few players in africa and i wanted to spice things up.

Habibi is normally Halaib (of Halaib Triangle fame.) Mamluks player renamed it and then lost it or gave it to Beja (possibly to throw you off!) I'm surprised you didn't consider that strategy, it's particularly devious
Can't you understand if the country is player or not by the personality of their ruler? If they are players I think it shows a question mark and says player.
You can tell which nations are players by looking at the personality of their ruler. If it shows a ?, then it's definitely a player :)
@@OddlySpecificGaming I assume what we see is what Laith saw in his game, and everytime he guessed correctly, the nation had a ? as opposed to a diplomat, balanced or other personalities when it was an AI
Wouldn't the meta be to swap the names of 2 adjacent provinces from a lesser known part of the world?
Does France normally give occupation of Labourd to Foix, and then give it to armagnac in the peace deal? France looked very playerlike to me.
you can look at forts on the borders because ai always keep it on

Salem is the normal province name in the game. There is also a Salem in India.

actually they can, the yellow is set by provinces you have a claim in, whereas red are manually set, the AI is exactly like this as well, yellow provinces are wherever the claims are at, red is either cores or manually set
