    Great video and I appreciate the candid honesty. Allow me to add some info. The front (P/D) side steps will locate at the appropriate location if placed where the Third Leg falls just forward of the flange on the rock slider. To the eye, it may not look correct because you would think that the step should fall directly in the middle of the door. This isn't the case with a step. On the driver side, your right plant foot on the step will be out of the way and allow your left foot to swing around with plenty of room for easier ingress. So just forward of center is the location. For the rear, we've discovered that there are subtle differences between the model years of the JLs that make the rear step not fall where they did on our 2019 R&D Wrangler. There is an updated Third Leg that we're producing to address this subtle change between the different model years.

    Thanks for the instructions. I’m going to install mine tomorrow. Same year and style Rubicon as yours.

    Interesting. Great concept, keeping the factory rock rails. The installation might be a deal breaker. Following. Great presentation and review gents.👍👍😎🇺🇸

    Welp I’m glad I didn’t order these that bracket placement would trigger my OCD

    Correction to my earlier post: I put the front stirrups on as intended but adjusted the rear to match yours. I don’t think the installation is one-size fits all. Made it work. Had to loosen the rails like you did. Used alllll the tools!

      Ya lol. Glad it worked out though!

    Holy crap. For $950 I would just by power steps for a bit more.

      Yes they’re not cheap. Part of that is that they’re made of solid billet aluminum and in the US. Other part is that they have no competition at this point. There’s a 25% off coupon code on JLWrangler forums. Still expensive. But a bit less :)

    I need something like this. But how easy is it to remove when at the trail? And when removed do any of the brackets hang under the rubi rails?

    • @DuckMeTV
      @DuckMeTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Just requires a couple of simple tools. Although it could be done at the trail, probably would be easier to do in the driveway. No, nothing would hang. It would completely come off.

      @@DuckMeTVfor $150 I’d be in. Even for only 2. My kids can climb into the back seats. But, a great concept.

      @@RobJKlein for sure! They do offer just 2 which is a bit cheaper. But still not $150 😞
