enjoyed your rainy day. At 70 I still kayak camp in any weather , vital stove and zebra pots. Love your man biscuit . From the northern canadian bush . thanks
you are so smart!!! what a clever way to use the zebra pot, the steam for cooking and the ziplock for the scrambled egg!! learnt something from you man!!
That biscuit look awesome, so does the whole meal. Tip of the day though, when cracking a egg always do it on a flat surface not a sharp. Otherwise ya drive small pieces of shell into the egg. When in high school many years ago cooking in a restaurant was taught that, and it stuck with me.
Man, you put up a video of 14 minutes, and at the end of watching it, I'm famished and faint with hunger. That was a grand meal for sure! Rushing out for my dinner. Atb, -The Solo Hiker.
Looks like some good camping grub. I usually do the eggs and bacon over the coals in a cast iron skillet, but after seeing this, I'm going to try adding the onions and peppers and some of the other stuff that you recommend.
Nice poncho. How about a link for it. I should probably get another as my nephew borrowed (commandeered) mine. Good vid!! Makes me want to get out there!!
I like th way you think.. ..... Love th omelet idea.. Never wash a dish if I can avoid it.. Wouldn't have thought to use that kind of a bag.. ..... In another vid you tried making cornbread in an iron skillet.. That's a great way to bake, if you set it in coals and put a lid on it.. I once baked a birthday cake that way but in a dutch oven and with coals on th lid.. Worked beautifully..
I have tarps, but don’t use them unless I really need to. I like our PSTL (10x10) tarp for ongoing protection, but my favorite quickie is our Storm Shield. - Perry
Firstly. Enjoyed the video. Good idea. Interested in getting zebra 16cm pot. But. I wanted to ask about the fleece poncho and where or how you acquired it? Thank you
Gotta tell ya that's the best looking breakfast I've ever seen‼️ Bar NONE‼️ I'll go camping with ya anytime. Where's the recipe for the biscuit and how to cook it? I'm 54 and been camping all my life. So that meal is right up there with my native brook trout, potatoes & veggies wrapped in foil and tossed in the coals. Kudos my friend, and I'll be ordering some things from your website. Your dad taught ya well‼️👍🏽😃William ~
my goodness that's a big ole biscuit there buddy!!!! holy smokes! I called the guys over from the other cubicles to check out you sawing that thing!!!! lol. the worlds largest omelet biscuit~
Very original way to prepare your food mister but didn't you forget to season the eggs or did I simply miss it? Still a very interesting video. You used some very clever techniques. Atb! Marc from Belgium
where are you camping at? It looks like Emigration Canyon or Parleys Canyon to me. Is it? Please let me know. Thanks. Nice video and awesome looking omelet by the way!
Thanks for asking, glad the Omelette went well for you. The bread is easy. I just used a pancake mix from a box, like Bisquick, only I did not add as much water as for pancakes because I wanted a dough not a batter. So just add a little water and start mixing, once you have a ball of dough, you are good to go. Enjoy. -Perry
Thx will give it a try next camping season :) i enjoy your videos, everything short, precise, no boring lonnnng moments of repetition. Do keep it up :)
+Cindy Frost guess I should add a video like that to my list. It's actually pretty simple. I often carry some pancake flour with me because I can use it for lots of things. What I did here is add a little water to the flour till it made a ball of dough. Then I flattened it out and put it in the little skillet, I turned it when the bottom side was done.
We make them as a side line. We are discontinuing the "Build A Grill" Kits, and the Titanium (impractical), but the others are still available. In this video I am using the lighter weight Cookin Sticks, in stainless steel. Since this video we have added actual Cookin Irons which are 3/8" wrought iron and are sturdy enough for cast iron cookware. That said here's a link wildernessinnovation.com/stoves/campfire-cookin-sticks-kits/
+William Jones Well dang, I should have let you know I was going to be there...haha. I camp nearly every week year round, if you get to my area, let me know and we'll go out..
for f. sake i see health and safety are not at camp today with the biscuit "bread".....lol. a guy after my own heart on the grub steaks. just subbed. catchya pall mick in the uk
You should do that. I always have either my irons for using heavy cast iron cookware, or my Cookin Sticks for the backpacking stuff. thanks for watching
That “nice boil” would be known as a “purdy boil” to fans of Shug Emery. I cannot fathom taking Brussel Sprouts to steam for a camping meal. You have better taste than I.
I'm tempted to record and cut out the middle of some of my camp beans , or black eyed peas , with different pork meats in them or Buffalo, beef, or pork roast , I use my 16 cm pots for that , I have had 3 pots over fires , before, camp cooking . I have been offered, a big buck check in , if id cook at a certain camp , cooking their ingredients, the old grandpa , a wants my great northern white beans at least every 3rd day . If I feel better, I'll go this season. Just a few days from now
I was just doing what my grandpa did when I was a kid, his were just straight. I came up with the bends so I could make them more stable with three points of contact. Thanks for watching and for the comments.
Yo Inovation, I can see you have not spent much time around the kitchen, It's safer to wash all fruit & verge with water, Brussl sprouts is one of my faverts, Cut a 1/4" + in the stems, It will cook them easer. A baked potato and a grilled sausage. Enjoy the fire and the rain. Over.
+Aamir Khan Nice thing when camping there is plenty of time, I like to slow down from everyday life and not have to worry about being in a hurry. Thanks for watching

7:20 iconic bushcrafter moment right there 😂😂
Hahaha, yeah gotta have some fun..
Looks tasty but all that cookware, nice big fire pit & no rain tarp/fly?
I have tarps, but don’t use them unless I really need to. I like our PSTL (10x10) tarp for ongoing protection, but my favorite quickie is our Storm Shield. - Perry

Do you have the recipe for your biscuit somewhere? That looked fantastic.
That's terrific Thanks very much. Your cooking ideas are great. I don't think I could pack the cast iron pan however. Hello from Canada. :)
That little 6" Lodge skillet is one of my favorite pans, I love how stuff cooks in it. Sometimes I take it when I really ought to leave it behind...
good job. I enjoyed your video.

Over.

Glad it was helpful, thanks.
the fucking saw
You must have your motor home parked just out of sight.
It would be nice to have one at times. But a lot of the fun is to see how comfortable I can be in all sorts of conditions.
My God sooo much trouble for an omelet
and on a fire pit in his backyard. why.
My God sooo much trouble for an omelet
