Back in 1974. I had my buddy Dad let us ride his Bull 6 day trail gold metal dirt bike in NJ . That bike was a big red and gold left side kick start with shifting on rigth side of the bike. Great day for a 15 year old bike lover.
Back in the 70's I was riding mostly Hodaka, but one of my friends had a Red 370 Frontera (low pipe) and it was absolutely the best trail bike out there. We had access to an Ossa 350 Super Pioneer, and some Husky's along with plenty of Honda's and Yamaha's. That Frontera got stolen out of a locked van, chained to the floor. We replaced it with a Blue 250 Frontera, but it did not have the same magic. Enjoy your Gold one 😁
I don't care who you are, unboxing NOS motorcycles, especially Spanish motorcycles can make any day Christmas day. Never rode Bultaco, I was a Montesa Cota guy. That 370 Frontera is sweet!
I know agarage in cantabria, the old man raced bultacos in the 70s, metralla doing wheelies down the farms. Epic. Son has his dads collection. Bimota duccatti honda. About 70 bikes. All run. Does selective service.. gas gas. Lo.
The last model made by Bultaco was the model number 222 MK 15 420 Pursang . Bultaco only used the model numbers 492/493 to over-stamped a consignment of unsold MK10 Pursangs 192/193 with a 4 to change the model number from a MK10 Pursang to a Gold Medal Frontera . After selling all the over-stamped Pursang Bultaco then made a factory spec, model based on a Frontera . To tell the difference between the two models you need to look at the Motor numbers NOT the model numbers as the model numbers can be changed by stamping a 4 over the 1 (192-193) to change the model number from a MK10 Pursang to a 492-493 Gold Medal Frontera. You will find the Motor numbers between the front sprocket and the gear selector nut stamped on the main case . If your Gold Medal Frontera Motor number is 192 (250) or 193 (370) then it is an over-stamped MK10 Pursang and is 100% a MK10 Pursang with lights and painted gold . If your Gold Medal Frontera Motor numbers are 180 (250) 181 (370) then it is a factory spec. Model and is a genuine Gold Medal Frontera because it is a Frontera NOT a MK10 Pursang.
According to Bultaco identification chart some state that the last model was 222 Pursang MK 15 420 some state 226 Pursang MK 15 125 . 1980-81 . My point is that the 492-493 was not the last model made . The purpose of the 492-493 model was for Bultaco to over-stamp the Pursang MK 10 ‘s 192-193 into 492-493 . To change there identity.
The Gold Medal Fronteras were Pursangs dressed as enduros to street use. Factory strikes lead to a long delay to send those Pursangs to the USA, and the importer send them back, so the way of sellling them in Spain was to install lights to be road legal bikes. They are a myth in Spain, a wheelie queen and a very serious fun machine. I had one in my youth, sadly she was stolen. Congrats, you have two very nice Bultacos.
Border Gold Medal 370 Model 493 no production numbers, My list shows Model 179A (Streaker 74 white) as 1000 units produced Model and Model 179 (Streaker 74) as 890 units produced.
Could you tell me with which company you have made the shipment from Spain to the United States?, I would like to do the opposite to bring a motorcycle from the United States to Spain, thanks.
AG Sport Logistics on the Spain side, and Marine Air & Land in the States, but it may depend on which port you intend to use. There are several outfits around Miami too.
@@bullpencycles I’m not sure if they kept records of production numbers at Bultaco. I have a complete half restored 250 that someone lost interest in.I also have a 199B that is original. Thanks for the reply.
If you ever get the chance, would you please do a quick video on the Spanish amal carburetors vs. the British version? Are the carbs the same except one says “made in Spain? I love all of your videos and just want to say Thank You for sharing some of your knowledge!!!
I really like the 78 enduro How much does something like that cost ? I had a Alpina 250 when I was a kid and would love to have one agin because I’m as slow as they are lol lol
In 2023, Mecum Auctions sold a restored Bultaco 'purported' to be a 1983 MK11'B' 215A Frontera... often referred to as the "white Frontera'. Club Bultaco reference material states that the 215A bike was built from '79~'81, so I'm a bit leery as to the 1983 date of mfg. The bike sold for $12,100. Your high pipe & side cover likely came from one of the 215 models.
First time watching older presentation.. and it reminded me how much I love your original intro music ..short and sweet. I prefer to here you talking instead of riding.. fla back roads/flat track.. Your fans already know your passion.. that's my opinion.. I'm old.. don't have time. Lol😅
I still have that original intro. I changed it to remind folks about my range of videos, not just the swap meets. They seem to like the swap meet and auction videos tho. I'll swap in the original intro in a next video or so.
So bottom line - after all the costs - what was total cost per bike to sit in your yard. ????? Do not include gasoline. Lucky the crates weren't up side down 🙃 Nice bikes 🇪🇸 ✌️👍🏁
I have to look that up for an exact price OTD, but I guess once one commits ... well. I tried to share. Still working to USA title and ride them. I'm happy tho
I'm a Spaniard, and long ago I used to race Bultacos. I've owned both models. The 370 is sometimes hard to start, but then goes like greased lightning. The Streaker is a nice toy. Enjoy your bikes and be careful. If I remember well, the Frontera front brake was... marginal.
Looks like fun , here in Thailand 2 strokes still live .
Wow! Thailand! That's great!
Hello guys, I have a streaker bought new, still on the co, with parts manual and gaskets.
Nice. Which cc size, black or white?

Wow, stolen from inside a locked van and chained to the floor. What city was this?
Great looking bikes I am real happy for you. Watch your videos all the time Thanks.
I appreciate that!
My boss is rebuilding a champion frame. He has a couple other complete tacos. He built one many years ago. Cool ass dude

Well, they werent NOS but still cool fun to Unbox! I'm still working on the Frontera. You will see it again soon!

Oh man, that Gold Brand duel sport is estupendo ! I'm so glad that I found your channel, I'm receiving a great education.
Thank you. I'm not always right, but yes. We're hooked and we try our best!

I had a 69 Pursang, new, when I was 19. Still think it's the most beautiful bike made.
one of them
Nice finds. A couple of cool Bulto's
Yeah, if you follow the channel, the GM was a bit of a bodge!
I got my mint bultaco in Colorado for $1500, it pays to shop local.
what model?

Does anyone know how many of the 250 and 370 GM’s were made ?
I tried to look this up, but my books were not helpful, so I do not know. Sorry. Good question though!

I posted the answer to this on the community page for this channel. There are two photos also. Hope that helps. Thank you
I'm in search or a 77-78 370 pursang or a late model 360 pursang
Big bore Bultacos of any kind are getting scarce.
España? Cuando?
both are beautiful but the streaker has a plus
I really like the 78 enduro

I had a Alpina 250 when I was a kid and would love to have one agin because I’m as slow as they are lol lol
That one was a special edition, but generally a Frontera runs 3K-5K. There was an especially nice Frontera in the bike corral at York last week.
Great Video! Thanks for taking us along. Enjoy your new finds! …. And I’m with ya on the gas$ 👎
Right on
Bultaco,s are beautifull especially the frontiers and the persang they could sting they had a lot of power

Yeah, you can't rely on auction description. I'm almost done getting that old girl started.

I'm watching video while texting.. i was so happy that naked golden aged folks didn't run out of your trailer..
Ohh, I must have missed that!
I rode dirt bikes all over the Mojave desert in the early 70s.
Bultaco’s were everywhere back then…
That sounds like it was fun! I grew up on the East Coast and pop wouldn't let me get a bike. I think that's how it started.
Yes that is cool Peace out
nice haul-
I miss my 250 Bultaco that I had in 1970
Which model did you have?
Those vintage bultaco dirt bikes are gold medal machines
