Enough room with the bench space to cook inside with a small butane stove or similar cooker if the weather outside is really bad . Amazing how they manage to get so much stuff fitted in a small van
We bought a small portable induction cooker to plug into the inverter so we can cook inside our Lowdown in bad weather. It's so handy we sometimes use it outside as well, and also at home. Next step will be a gasless caravan, but that requires a lot more solar.
Another great video, maybe even my favourite?? Perfect timing for us. We have a lowdown and think it’s magnificent for us. Only two hours ago my wife and I were talking about putting a mirror in our van (unfortunately the one over the sink is in a bad position) so we thought of a full height mirror in the ensuite. A question for you. Is the mirror fixed with brackets/clips or silicone? I couldn’t quite tell from the video. Once again, great review, good mix of business and pleasure with the music and wildlife. Happy travels🛻
One of the reasons we bought our Lowdown is it is about the same height as our Defender and fits in the same garage. Ours doesn't have a dust reduction and we've never had a dust problem.
Some interesting innovations. We only have 2 x 190 watts of solar but it's enough to keep the Enerdrive 200amp lithium battery charged. We've been on the road since December and went 56 nights in Tassie without plugging into a power point, so the solar works. Ours is the bunk model so we use the single bed for storage in bags.
Great video as usual. We're waiting on our Sirocco and thinking about where to do a shakedown trip. Just wondering what part of Gordon Country, you stayed at? It looks awesome. Thanks
Hi We are interested in the Lowdown. Just wondering how much ground clearance is reduced as compared to the Stealth 12? Also the drawbar and hitch appear to be lower than say the stealth 12. Did you have any problems hitching up to Barry height wise and remaining level? We have a Ranger XLT with a two inch lift. Thanks for the great video- enjoyable as ever.
@@deborahhiggins8008 good observation. The Lowdown is a shorter travel shock absorber and spring, so does sit lower than the Stealth. We use a Hayman Reese drop-hitch, so just knocked it down a notch. No issues though in terms of getting it nice and level to tow
Great video I bought the 2024 Bunk version and love it!. How did you find the solar input? Im only getting about 5 amps in full sun, way to low for 600wats on roof, interested to know what you were getting?
@@MultiverseMedia532 hi guys. We are getting 25-28A in full sun at Carnarvon Gorge. I did have an issue with it early on as struggling to get 8A. Found some loose wires around the main circuit breaker from the roof. Tightened everything up and happy days. I’d give the service team at Caloundra a call. Not sure where the breaker is in the bunk version as it’s in the front cupboard in the Escape. Hopefully it’s an easy fix for you
Mmm, not for us but some of the innovation is amazing. Great to watch as it makes you think about what we want/need in a van. Mavo nice presentation x

We think it’s fixed on with an adhesive, there are no clips. Thanks for the feedback as well, glad you love them!

BTW it is possible to fit a bike rack to a Lowdown. Ours is a Gripsport.

@@carmelwest2100 hey Carmel. We like Bowerbird the best. Always quieter, nice and flat and well spaced out
