  • The Infinity range is what originally attracted us to ‪@jawaoffroadcampertrailers7687‬ and we were super excited to take 2024 Infinity 15 Escape for a thorough test. Unlike many others, we take weeks of off-grid living to really get to understand each van before producing our reviews. For this video, we wanted to put the van through the toughest test to date, so took it over to Moreton Island to see if it was truly capable in one of Australia's more difficult beach settings. Check out how it went!

Excellent review Ant and Dee. We pretty much have decided on Jawa and can’t decide between the Escape or Sirocco. I’m leaning the Escape even with the 2 mins to set up the bed. Hopefully Jawa will be at Melbourne for the Caravan Camping show in Feb or whenever it is. Keep up the great work.

    Great vid and lovely location!
Bump out bed ???? You are 100% correct - not for all! Drop spares, pull out, set up etc. Just so many vans to choose from now and interesting when doing a couple of the well know tag along remote trips the few brand name van they actually allow due to the harsh road conditions.
Keep up the great trips guys!

Nice review, I have recently decided on the Sirocco, as the hassle of setting up the bed from the outside was something I wanted to avoid. I would say that it is something that you should show in the reviews.

Great video - Just ordered the Infinity 15 Bunk that should be here in the new year, cant wait to get over to Moreton and beyond :-) Just a question as a newbie what essentials would you guys recommend in terms of hoses/ blocks etc ? Also where do you park your Van when your not Travelling, this model doesn't fit under standard carport so we need to get ours updated but do you have any experience storing them outside, would you recommend covers etc
    Thanks again

Thanks! We need to replace our hoses at some stage as they are still stiff and not very flexible after 2 laps! They were Camec hoses and whilst durable and do their jobs, they are just painful. Not sure what to recommend. We use an Oz block’n’chock kit and it’s been very good. A bit like Lego so can build out all sorts of platforms and chocks.
We actually sold our original van when we finished our first lap as we have a standard house block and with two sons who are both tradies and live in girlfriends, we already have 7 cars, a work van and tool trailer to fit!

Hi Guys , We have just bought but yet to pick it up a 2024 Stealth 16. Im just interested to know what your feelings are of Hooking up the Anderson plug to the van and running the car to top up the batteries if you get to a point where the batteries are low !

    • @empty_nestadventures

@@paulrhodes2629 we’ve done it before in dire straits. The problem for us, is even though we’ve upgraded the alternator, the crank battery still takes priority, plus we also have another dcdc in the car, so rarely get over 30A. Better than none though

Great review guys. The bump out bed compared to a fixed bed.
Do you get any noise at night from the panels around the bed?
Any squeaky or rattling noises from wind or people mowing in bed?

    • @empty_nestadventures
      @empty_nestadventures  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@warrenyann9415 hey! Not ever really noticed more noise except in heavy rain… the Jawas that we’ve had with the bump out all lock in pretty tight. You get more noise (vinyl moving and zippers clinking) when it’s windy from the poptop…

Have you ever needed the 2nd spare, and are they same wheel stud patter as your vehicle? And are the slide bars structural or for protection? Saw another off road with the sliders removered and rapter coating rather than the checker-plate. I'm guessing a couple hundred kg saved?
The van looks great - so much more storage that vans I've only hired for weeks at a time but still... lighter is better...

We have used a second spare when travelling full time, however knowing I had a second spare meant I didn’t replace in say Kununurra where they sting you more, waited until we got to Darwin. As for stud pattern- yes it matches, but rim offset and rolling diametre is out. Could be used at an absolute pinch to limp back to civilisation. I don’t think you need two spares if only doing trips in school holidays etc. as for the rocksliders- there for protection and can be easily removed. I’d say it would save you 70-80kg at an estimate

Good point. For the big lap, the peace of mind for the second spare counts a lot!
