Trail Ex 484 Logging Trailer/Steering axle

Just a little clip of my 2013 TrailEx 484 Logging trailer. I am hauling about a 44000 kg payload (62000kg gross) of Poplar eight foot in Northern Ontario.

Neat! Drop wheels for steering. I have seen cement mixers that raise the drop wheels so they can steer. Looks like they were triggered by the turn signals. Thanks for sharing this interesting tech.

Simpler yet, they are like the caster wheels on the front of a shopping cart. When the trailer goes into a turn, the sideways force of the trailer on the tires forces those tires to self steer around the corner.

It's not really helping steer the axle is closer to the center of the trailer so when the trailer is pulled through a turn the axle steers toward that direction instead of skidding sideways

Why do you use singles? You get more weight on duals on a steering lift.
