I agree 💯 - have several, like that Gambit book, NM 87, ASM 300 3D. Its fun and affordable, and i like the single comic edition for its ease of reading and displaying some very cool covers. 😉👍
The ASP 121 I bought I put in a bag, boarded, never handled it much. Had it graded, came back 7.5. So imagine the old, "If only I could go back in time and buy them when they came out" and you did that and it only got a 7.5. BTW I own almost all of those, many of which I bought when the 'newstand' version was actually cheaper to buy back issues of.
I love facsimiles! I've been a collector for over 50 years. I used to have a complete run of Amazing Spider-man and Thor as well as a Fantastic Four #1 (and other key issues). I'll buy extras if it's a book I love. I get more excited for them than much of the new comics!
The day I made this video I found the original print of the 1st appearance of Gambit, (for the best price I'd ever come across). So, I got it after just saying in the video how I'd probably never get any of those originals because they are so expensive. It was a strange coincidence.
Facsimiles are the closest I can afford to reading the comics as they were meant to be. My facsimiles are mostly Batman (my favorite superhero), but I have others, too, like THE FLASH 123 and GIANT-SIZE X-MEN.
That's why I like them too. I actually found the real first appearance of Gambit the day I posted this video in a thrift store, for a decent price. Had to get it.
New sub here. Look forward to checking out future content. I recently was AOKed a few facsimiles and I enjoyed them. I think there cool if you are looking to read some classics.
Facsimiles are great, always thought it would be a good way to go, more exposure to better stories. It would be nice to see newsprint versions though, the glossy paper just makes the colors too bright, imo.
@@KaufmanIsAlive It would be cool with the facsimiles, it would be like exactly like reading the originals & of course the smell of the paper too, lol.

These are great!!! Next year Marvel will do a full year run of Fantastic Four issues 1 - 12 in Facsimile editions and the Dark Phoenix Saga!

@@darrelldent9083That's a great idea. They don't even print any new comics in newsprint. Maybe they would be cheaper.
