This is my first time to hear this song & it's authentic enough for me. I love it & Dominie Hooper Hear her sing the translation of the ancient Irish song, I am Stretched on Your Grave. You WILL choke & cry.
So lovely. More than outweighs the naysayer, pseudo critic, authenticity police comments who clearly don't have a clue what authenticity actually is. :) I'd love to hear more from this collaboration.
Hm, sadly, most people in the comments seem to be looking for fake Scottish accent rather than this wonderful interpretation. Maybe go look elsewhere ;-)
Beautifully sung - was best before the intrusive guitar came in adding a “beat” to a song whose beauty lies in not have a beat. The violins are lovely.

Lovely voice. But the rhyme was off due to her accent. The last words of chorus should all rhyme with yowes in Scots.
Exactly
Agreed. Need the correct accent - preferably one Burns would have recognised!!
I wouldn't know, Canada lol. It's beautiful to me.
Not Scottish enough as words aren't raw.I live in village where this song was born Tibbie Pagan.......
Terrible!!! Sorry
Lovely voice but seriously lacking authenticity.
Poor pronunciation
Lovely
