I was diagnosed with scoliosis at 16. I had an S curve of 30 degrees and a compensatory lower curve. I’m now 70. The thoracic curve is stable, but the lumbar is slumping, so I tried Schroth, but the exercises are not enough for me at this stage. But, Schroth will help you learn about your curve. I’ve been physically active all my life: skiing, running, hiking, biking, swimming, and practicing yoga for 20 years. I've also had three children, and now I do Scoliosis-Appropriate yoga and core exercises, plus swimming and lots of walking. The answer lies in doing all exercises you can tolerate with a joyful heart for your entire life. Schroth knowledge will help with that.
Thank you for sharing! Definitely doing the exercises you can tolerate is helpful. The best exercise is the one you will and can do. Hope you continue to do well.
