Of course, I don't know all they are saying. Still, I was smiling and laughing. Interesting sculptures. Fun to see what they came up with. I wonder who has the sculptures now.
Translated the main bits to the best of my abilities. This won't be perfect, but: 0:48 Magnus: I always use Troll Dough (a very salty homemade Playdough).... ...The best thing about it is that you can shape it into almost anything and it'll turn out good anyway. 1:00 Magnus: Here is a car and a plane. 5 seconds later, a baguette, a pancake, a doughnut, whatever you want. 1:13 Magnus: Calle has chosen Plaster... ...He is way behind me because he is messing with the plaster. Well, too bad for Calle :). 1:28 Calle: At some point, Magnus has to bake his statue. So, good luck finding such a large oven. 2:13 Bård: You're both ready with your works of art, which we will soon see of course. But we will need a judge who actually knows a thing or two about sculptures... (introduces judge). 2:52 Bård: What are you looking for in a good feminine statue? Judge: The first and foremost is, in many ways, the concept or idea. That the artist is trying to communicate something with his sculpture. Next is what the shape of the sculpture is trying to communicate and lastly one should consider the craftsmanship alone... 3:23 Calle: I present to you, Standing woman in childbirth! Vegard: what is that? (points at hanging thing). Calle: That is a... blood/slime mixture.. Judge: That sculpture makes a very strong statement... (Norwegian wordplay follows. It doesn't translate to English). 4:01 Judge (continues): This is one of life's secrets.... Calle: That was the thought behind it. The modern woman in 2013 who nearly doesn't have time for childbirth... ...Judge: what is it that she has under there? (points to the hanging thing). Calle: This? Have you seen a childbirth? Many more things than babies come out of there. Bård: Could you set a fair price for this? Judge: It's easily worth about 60,000 Kroner. (I may not have heard the price clearly. Someone may correct me) 4:46 Bård: Magnus, are you ready to unveil? Magnus (with feigned confidence): Yeah I'm ready! Bård: Do you have anything to say first? Magnus: (I heard) the statue is a bit small since I haven't managed to bake it. Bård: It's not been baked yet?! Magnus: So its quite a bit flatter than when I began. I never did find an oven in Oslo that was large enough. Bård: Are you satisfied? Magnus: Yeah, quite! Bård: You're satisfied. Ok then now we shall unveil Magnus's statue! (Drumroll). 5:41 Magnus: The statue is called 'Woman Enjoying the Statue Park'. She's lying in the statue park and relaxing and... oops, she's still a bit soft here. Bård: And whats with her hand? Magnus: She's trying to keep the sun out of her eyes. There's always sun at the statue park. Bård: Lets head on back. What can we say about this one? Judge: It could have used some baking, its sinking a bit. But the idea is quite good... ...The woman is partly rejoycing and partly trying to protect herself from the sun. The color is nice, but it is very distracting that she's sinking in on herself. Magnus: It should be said that the sinking represents the aging process of a woman, everything sinks inside of itself and flattens out. Bård: Lets not drag this on any longer, we need to decide a winner... Judge: If I may, I would like to say that after an extremely thorough and incredibly deep analysis, I have decided that the winner is 'Standing Woman in Childbirth'. Its fantastic... ...Folk rarely see something that is so grotesque, but it has its place in the art world. No doubt.
I would have bought Calle's statue if the price wasn't to insane. Honestly, haveing something like that to great you every day you walk in the door would be awesome.
I genuinely like the sculpture made by Calle.
Calle you are a genius!!!!!!!!
Bårds hair looks so good here

He said 6 digits :)
So could be anywhere between 100.000kr to 999.999kr.
Jeg liker ideen til Kalle. Den er original men også basert på kjent kunst. Jeg kunne faktisk tenk meg å kjøpe den hvis den var "desktop size"
