As a fellow designer I hope she knows that she can totally charge more for her work if she wants to... dealing with imposter syndrome with pricing is so real and so hard to deal with, and the way she captured Jenn's essence so well is so valuable. I hope all these designers are treated well by all future clients!
Unfortunately Fiverr’s whole schtick is that you can get designs for very cheap. If that designer raised her prices, she likely wouldn’t get hired

What meant to imply in my original comment is that the designer has the skill level to migrate from directories like Fiverr which are known to be full of clients who unfortunately undervalue talent (which can often lead to designers doubting their worth), and explore her own freelance work on her own, if that's something she wishes to pursue. :)

I think the hardest obstacle I had to overcome when asking for help was my pride. I was worried I would be seen as incompetent or a burden, but it’s crazy how mean your mind can be to yourself because when I finally did reach out it was an extraordinarily positive experience! It keeps us from burning out and lets good people in :) thanks for sharing, Jenn! Your videos always make me so happy

I absolutely love this video!! But as a design student, I have to say that Fiverr is not a good platform for freelancers or the design industry. They have strict guidelines regarding any designer-client contact outside of Fiverr (they will delete your account if a client tries to hire you again outside of Fiverr) which benefits Fiverr but makes it hard for the designer to gain business outside the platform. This also makes it hard for designers to add Fiverr work to their professional portfolios in an ethical way. Fiverrs marketing about affordable work really pressures designers to offer cheap prices for their work, that don’t guarantee minimum wage when calculated to an hourly rate. I was thinking of creating a Fiverr profile after this video, but then did some research and just wanted everyone to be informed. Beautiful design though, and I’m so glad those designers got the credit they deserved in this video! 💕

I loved the idea you used for this collaboration. It was fun to see not only how fiverr works and how you have used it but that you actually picked a handful of different fiverr creators, set them a task to complete and reviewed them. It helps to see the whole process.
You are very mindful and critical of what you mentally consume which is awesome. Being able to expand our perspective and to actually hear what others have to say is important. In today's world it can feel like everyone is speaking but no one is listening.

My fav is the last one: she gave your style a twist, but I see the Jenn Im in this completely. Really liked the second one, but it felt more like clothesencounters 2015ish. my workout preferences are CONSTANTLY changing too!!! i totally feel this
yesss when I do a routine for so long it gets dragging and I feel like other parts of my body aren't developing as much. Although yoga and cardio are my constant, I try to use different ways to incorporate it and make sure I like what I'm doing. If I don't I'll just end up feeling forced to exercise just for the sake of it 🤧.
I love that you listen to many opinions. You can't just close yourself off in a box of only things that you agree with or like. That is staying in one place. In order to grow branches, you have to branch out and feed your mind with information and opinions, while using critical thinking skills. Compassion is also a wonderful tool that all humans have yet almost all underuse.
Loved all the behind the scenes footage and that you gave compliments and constructive criticism to each designer, really cool to see that part! :)

I’m the same - 15 years of graphic design experience agency work, and it completely devalues what we do, how can someone charge $100 for these things it just makes me sad, these people have talent and are being exploited. Ruins the design industry

filling your flower vases with only a couple inches of water preserves the stem of your flowers and keeps the stems more fresh vs filling them all the way to the top makes the whole stem soggy and they do not last as long

It seems you're organizing your daily schedule so well from like getting up early in the morning, doing your work-out/meditation in the middle of your schedule -- do you have any tips to wake up early in the morning with a positive mind or motivate yourself to do meditation every day? I really want to do a workout/meditation every morning and some productive things after work, but in the morning I want to sleep more and after work, I'm exhausted and just want to watch Netflix. Freelance illustrator here! Fiverr is not the best place to look for freelancers. The severe underpricing and competition means that freelancers are drastically underpricing their services in order to get work. Fiverr also takes a cut of commission (20%) even before paypal also takes a cut. It's amazing that you're supporting young designers but please bear in mind, Fiverr is 100% exploiting freelancers.

Girrrrrrrl thank you for highlighting graphic design in your sponsorship! I feel like its so hard to justify prices when selling a creative service because people don't always understand the hard work that goes behind it, but it was so nice seeing people selling their work for REASONABLE AMOUNTS instead of a pittance
As a design student, I really loved watching this too. And luckily Jenn is ethical enough to pay all her designers regardless of whether she used their design. However, many designers on Fiverr are not paid fairly and Fiverr also takes a cut from their pay. Do some research! I only learned this recently, and it’s very eye opening. Beautiful designs in this video regardless, and I’m so glad the designers got credit!
Unfortunately Jenn did not show a real representation of how Fiverr works - the platform promotes paying the cheapest possible price. The name of the company is literally based off the fact that you could hire someone for $5
@@maddyrevenge I know that don’t worry, I’m fully aware as I’m actually on Fiverr! Not holding up hopes though because as you say, a lot of people will always do it cheaper. What I meant was that I was glad that she picked people with more reasonably priced services than she could have done - i.e. literally just going with the cheapest options. Although now that I say it, it would be interesting to see if there was any difference in quality as a result of the price points.

Did you ended up paying all of them or just the person you chose in the end? - Working as a Designer myself I am very skeptical with these plattforms, since there are many people out there who misuse them to get a bunch of designs for free, where only one person is paid or sometimes even none, if the client decides to rebuild the ideas/uses the ideas withour payment or permission.

Yes!! I been known since April!! . . I've always worked out at home and since this BS started there hasn't been any dumbbells in stock at ANY place that sells weights . . . It bothered me at first but now I am fine with the weights that I do have . . . 10s, 15s, 20s, and 25s . . . Only reason I was bothered was because I wanted 30s for my squats . . . But knowing what I know now about my body, I wouldn't even be able to use them!!

10 years on TH-cam is so crazy - congrats!! I have been here since the “how I lost 10 pounds” video in 2013 😂😂 Now 26 years old and have loved every video!
I was doing a study on the TH-camr's I love so much and why, and Jenn's was that she's like me but older and okay with the changes in her person. Your vlogs are so beautiful to watch, and when you mentioned your relevance on youtube, I added it to my notes on things I could do for my channel as well.
