I'm not sure how much more you have played, but you actually unlock quite a few more things as you go through the story, after your first Mind Challenge it saves your previous runs as templates to use for merging with other characters so that you can mix and match their skills/passives :)
Looks very similar to dead cells. Unsure how the fighting gameplay elements are influencing it? Unless getting a special that needs 'skill + down' is it..
it is influenced by fighting games because it is made by a fighting game dev, using fighting game characters, using fighting game moves, using fighting game inputs, and using fighting game combos.
Devs are able to create really cool game with nice gameplay, but they almost always ruin it with shitty metaprogression, i can't get it. Game seemed cool, but not for me because of this anti-rogue feature
Same. Variation is fine, but don't give a flat upgrade. There's so many games that seem fun and then turn into grinds to meet some far away future difficulty balance.
Usually only takes a few days for someone to upload a 100% unlocked save, if you don't want to grind. Of course, be extra careful downloading these files if they're not posted on trustworthy, moderated sites.
There are certain things that studios implement into their game just because others do, no matter how horrible and poorly designed it is. I desperately want to create some PSA videos at this point regarding several of these features...
It's totally fair that you don't like meta-progression, but that doesn't mean it's bad design. Personally, I get way more into a game where I have something to work toward over time, and it pairs really well with the randomized run-based gameplay. I would never say Slay the Spire is a bad game, it's a fantastic representation of the genre. That said, I have twice as much time in Rogue Legacy 2 almost entirely because it gives me goals to work toward that extend beyond the current run.
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THE IS HOLY DO A FULL SERIES ON THIS!
Holy? Holy Orders? Wait no that’s Guilty Gear.
I agree
This gets said in the comments of every one of his videos haha.
@@kapitan27I've noticed that to. I almost want him to play the worst game ever and see if someone still says this.
As a Hakumen main in Blazblue, I approve of this

Reto would you say this is series worthy? I know your not too big a fan of rogue lite systems but maybe this one might be different for you.
Finally a BB game i can be good at
If you can't see a thing that's good that means everything is working as it should be.
nah, that normally means you may need glasses
This reminds me of a similar game but forgot the name.. Some stealthy type one like this.
Trinity Fusion maybe?
@@yadamspiezer No, don't think it was that. It's too new.
@@yadamspiezer Found it, it's not like this, thought it was but it has been too long. The Swindle. Was mistaken. xD

Rougelites sell more most of the time.
