Trout fishing is my passion, but with the water levels really low and the water temps to high, I decided to head out and target BIG Northern Pike in NJ! Had a fantastic day!! TightLines!
Hey man love the new video. Some really solid browns in it. I met you on the stream a couple weeks back when you were guiding. Glad to see you out there making some new vids.
great catch my guy. i fish the passaic at the livingston and east hanover boat ramps pretty often. great pike and some decent carp runs at both locations whenever the water is low. might i ask what part of the river you were fishing in this video?
I have to laugh about fisherman not giving up their spots. Seems foolish. There are so many spots to fish and if you know what you're doing most times you'll catch fish. I'm 70 years old. Been fishing since I was 10 years old. I have done every type of fishing fresh and salt water and have quite a collection over the years. From shores to bass boats to off shore fishing. My grandkids will be happy inheriting all my stuff. I always never minded letting people know about good spots. I grew up on Long Island and fished some great salt water and fresh water rivers and streams for beautiful trout, bass, pickerel etc. There's plenty of fish for everyone to enjoy. I lived briefly in West Milford, New Jersey from 1985 to 1992. Fished every river and lake. I lived there when they built the Monksville Dam around 1987. That place has now had plenty of time to grow its fish population especially through stocking. I Fished Greenwood Lake, the Clinton, Echo etc. To a secluded pond on top of bearfort mountain to the Flatbrook river. Everything from Fly, spinning you name it. I just laugh when people are so secretive. If you're a good fisherman you'll catch fish anywhere. I mean anywhere. On my honeymoon while enjoying the beautiful lake I caught fish with dental floss and a straight pin. Lol. Wife loved it. So I say don't be so secretive. Everyone loves to fish. The more the merrier for the sport. There's plenty of fish in the sea.😊
In 2024 we have an astronomical number of people fishing in New Jersey. It’s more important than ever to protect your fishing spots. You especially don’t want to advertise your spots on TH-cam. The amount of anglers is increasing ever year fishing the same lakes, ponds, reservoirs and ponds.
I do a lot of exploring and sometimes it takes me months just to find a good secluded spot on a river! All That work and I’m suppose to just tell people exactly where I fish?
I don’t care if I go swimming for this 🤩🤩🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice work 👏!! Beauty at the end!
Josh Nussenfeld thank you! It was a lot of fun
Wow great fight!! Awesome vid, you got him!!

Too late I already let them know. If you know how to read the habitat you'll catch fish anywhere, anytime. 🙂
That fish at the end looked like an alligator 😬 huuuuge
Is that the Passaic River?
Cool Video. I never understood why people fish in polluted rivers while there are many cleaner ones to fish in. Monksville has Muskies.
Why not if it's catch and release
Nice catches in this one.
The Fishing Nomad thanks a lot
Next you should try a bid spinner bait. I have caught a to of northern son spinner baits.
He clearly is not going to tell you where it is. Some people hoard spots.. It's the Passaic River. Lines Tight!
