Do you think it's possible to create your own anole VX using Knowles 31618 BAs with your custom iem shells? It would be interesting if you create a video where you make your own "VX" with the same drivers and tuning.
I have a pair of Anole VX's which one of the inside pins (at 15:14) has come out, you know the metal female bit thingy (I don't even know what it's called) I push it back in, and it doesn't make connection always, and when I pull the wire connector out, the female pin sticks to the male pin of the earphone wire. How screwed am I? As I keep watching, if you cracked the faceplate then I'm completely screwed. Can it be fixed without taking it apart?
@@SkyJax Hey SkyJax, yes I remember you, hope you're keeping well. I ended up sending them to Singapore, where they were able to fix it by replacing the socket inside of the IEM. It was a bit of a faff and cost £100 in total including shipping
@@ShawnBuckingham Same to you man. Hope life is treating you well. And glad to hear you were able to get them sorted. Are they really as good as people say they are?
@@SkyJax To say they are worth the price is difficult. However, they are my only pair of earphones now, and I have no desire to upgrade - which in the long run, probably saves money. Female vocalists are phenomenal, and that's where it shines. Some track with bass, doesn't work, Against the Current is a good example of this. People say about the U12T's but I have no experience with that. Rain or shine, I love my VX's. They make me smile when I grab them, and the fit is, indeed, magical as others point out, at least to my ears.
Thanks for the interesting video. Honestly, I don’t understand - why there are so few likes, for what a person shows - that there is nothing special in earphones for 2400 bucks compared to a chinese one for 300 bucks.
Well, there is nothing different, but there definitely is something special in the tuning. They sound amazing and the BA are indeed custom BA. the replacements are not as good, but yeah if a $300 iem could be tuned as well it would be no competition for the $2400 iem.
@@hi-friaudioman I'm good at using super glue im a computer hardware engineer i use super glue to reshape the broken system casings and buttons and I even used the glue to make my custom earphones it's a big story
I frickin love these series

Hey Shawn, friend of Aza here. Found your comment by complete random chance. Did you ever end up fixing your Anole VX's?

I repaired my my iems cracked resin shell using super glue and my iems now sounds the same as the other pair
Nice. You just gotta be careful with super glue because it can damage drivers.
