Repair of Eltos PD-185 circular saw: An unusual challenge in the garage

Good afternoon friends! Today we have a new renovation project in my garage - an Eltos PD-185 circular saw.
During disassembly, a discrepancy between the stator dimensions was discovered, and I am telling you how I encountered this problem. I analyze in detail what happened to the old stator and what are the differences in size compared to the new one. I also invite you to share your opinion in the comments - whether I did the right thing or not. This is an amazing event, since in my experience this is the first time that the stator is 7 mm shorter than the armature iron.
