That's actually a huge shift in logistics -- if a simple wrench isnt enough for a mine field - and you need explosives -- that'll put a huge pressure on EVERY FRONT LINE for MORE MAMMONS!!!!
I remember last time they added AP mines it was horribly frustrating to play, especially urban mine spam. I hope this is a "let dev cook" moment like when they changed structures to mostly only take explosive damage.
If the Devs have shown us anything -- its that they are willing to make big changes and then dial balance in over future updates. So if AP mine spam in cities is a huge problem and hurting the fun and the community agrees -- expect it to be nerfed in coming updates.
6:30 Destroy? I would just use me and my teammates to defuse mines with ourselves, 1 Soldier Supplies cost 8bmats, if mammons takes only 1% of their health it would cost 50 emats and 500bmats to destroy one mine field. Is better to use USSR tactic here xD
Vehicles can trigger infantry mines. They do about 15% damage to unarmored vehicles and about 1% damage to tanks. They were also updated to instantly kill infantry instead of wounding them.
@@AtlanRaupeople will figure out better ways, don't the colonials have a Bangalore torpedo, shit was designed during WW2 for clearing mines and barbwire Artillery, warden demolition explosives, tank cannons, hell a shirt is cheaper than a mammon so just charge through the AP minefield soviet style
So the colonial bangalores now have a much greater use in the for of taking out those Minefield strips. I hope Explosives like the Bangalores do a lot more damage to stuff like that because that why they were made both in-game and RL
If be the case, THE LEGION will use them. Both sides will see more dynamic infantry breaches, contributing to more unique experiences each player can have. A welcome addition if this was the goal, so long as devs can stop nerfing colonials to the point of being obsolete in every avenue except Horde tactics.
I think a good idea would be to make it so individually placed mines count as teamkills since they can be placed quickly anywhere, while the minefields wouldn't count as TKs since they take a century to build so the griefing risk is much less.
I think the long dig time is meant so that you can't spam them on an active front, which would be pretty cancer. But, because digging doesn't cap the number of people that can contribute to it, you could get a team of 5 or so people to plop them down really quickly. Since the dig time doesn't scale with how big the minefield is though, you always want it to be as big as possible
I think the developers are obliged to release a minesweeper tank that would be able to clear minefields and create windows in the defense for offensives.
Had a friend tell me to update the game to meme around. I spawn in a backline town hall and walk out to get blown up. Respawned and walked out a different exit to get blown up by another. Thats how I learned they were added to the game 😂
They really need to work out the jank with mines, they are going to be hell to build, but also hell to deal with. If they have to do another short test war so be it.
Didn't they want to make infantry more survivable? Also, of course will people lay a million mines, cause insane ressource usage (both on the server and the factories)
Or instead of wasting a 250 on the mines do the ww2 Soviet or dark age Mongolian methods send the meet shield first, 10 shirts for 10 mines seems fair.
Honestly I think that it was hard enough to get into enemy areas with ai defenses, infantry mines are going to make it absolutely nightmarish to break into enemy held cities this is going to stagnate wars and wars are going to draw out way too long people are going to get burnt out and it’s going to be terrible for the game and community morale, I think these mines are a mistake at the moment
It's pretty silly that even for a new feature there are no easy ways to understand how the mines work and how to place them. Just another cryptic feature to confuse new players how to do the most basic thing. Also a constant price for laying mines is also just lazy development. They could easily scale the cost of mines and digging time based on how big the minefield will be. This whole patch feels rushed and with random stuff (muddy slower vehicles. Who asked for this?
