Apologies for not making self indulgent, self sucky guitar faces so I can pretend that I’m having a great time - I’m concentrating because I’m probably on take 521 and I’m pissed I gotta pretend to be good at guitar for you nerds. 😘😘😘
LOL. Yeah, take 521, I can imagine...after all, it sounds perfect. And I guess "perfect" deserves that many takes. ....And while I'm at it...where can I buy this damn blue beauty of a guitar (nowhere to be found in the stores!)?
It’ll most likely be a one off thing. I think it has 27 frets so Ibanez probably won’t mass produce it. Then again I think they made a guitar with like 30 frets so who knows .
I don't care about how simple it looks, I know that is extremely hard to compose such a great piece of art. Sound so so so good, I can't explain. I can't imagine the djent genre getting better than this.
Everything about this song is just so epic. Definitely one that grows on me the more I listen, but I appreciate the playthrough's highlighting the brilliant instrument work on this album so far! Now just praying for a Chvrch Bvrner drum playthrough.
@@PorscheJon Satellites is more of a vocal and ambient music so basically Spencer's song. Meanwhile Garden in the Bones has more transitions, a rather epic middle section, and also a guitar solo to back that up. Talking about riffs, Sentient Glow is hands down the one for me. Personal opinions may differ!
Gonna be real honest. I havent sat down and given this album the attention it really deserves yet because, periphery albums deserve just that... each one is like a whole movie. And really, who just watches a chapter on a DVD And decides "oh that's all I needed to watch". Some of my favorite heroes play guitar in periphery.
The coolest candy blue with white accenting on a guitar I've ever seen. Some matte hardware, some shiny hardware. Single volume, single inlay, interesting cut at the bottom of the fretboard, cool slanting neck PUP. Master Race guitar right there.
So do you run the microwave in the effects loop of the invective or in the front?? cuz i always get a high pitch hiss every time i use my microwave with my tube head, so i might be doing something wrong. need your help pls
people complaining about his lack of facial expressions, have you ever attempted to play a song with this much intricacy? lol “wow yes i’m gonna comment make a moot point and hopefully lots of people like it” dope song thanks for the play through bro!
Some STRONG Cacophony vibes on this solo my dude! Am I hearing more Becker, or Friedman? I'm not sure but absolutely ace execution Jake! Cheers from Memphis!

Jake Bowen well said. It’s like all these guys want you to be Stevie T or Jared dines. You keep doing you.
*when all the effort goes into playing and making it sound right* because show is for the eyes, but music is for the ears.
You're humble and a professional, not a show off making orgasm faces. Sick playthrough man!

No one talks about how hard it is the record the "perfect" take of prog metal audio AND video. shits frustrating, but sure looks cool after
I love how Periphery manages to troll constantly and still maintain their professionalism. Amazing!
Intense Studios same
Last time I was this early, Nolly was still in the band
I regret to inform you that despite not being in the band Nolly is still in the band
Schrödingers nolly
@@Goose21 He's not in the band, but still in the band?
Ghazillous hahaha yeah he said it himself in the documentary for this album go check it out
@GamerOfTag he had freedom in his base parts though. At least that's how I feel like the documentory conveyed it.
They're so clever, 5:24 on the microwave because that's exactly how long the song is...
......... wait a minute
@@nodnarB14 Yeah I think I've been waiting for more than a minute.
Brandon Bippus it’s not a minute it’s 5:24 didn’t u read his comment?
@@nodnarB14 lmao wait a minute before serving
This entire album is essentially the musical equivalent of the constant inner state of my brain. Kudos
Wish the blue custom shop would become a signature. Any plans for that?
For real that's the coolest Ibanez I've seen in years.
It’ll most likely be a one off thing. I think it has 27 frets so Ibanez probably won’t mass produce it. Then again I think they made a guitar with like 30 frets so who knows .
@trigger_waterydeath Check out the Caparison Horus guitars. They're very similar.
Dont forget they made a 9 string guitar.
If it does it will be like 3,000 bucks
You're like "meh, I'm so bored so lemme just nail one of the playthroughs"
What a fucking stunning guitar, like holy shit.
That blue LACS Ibanez is seriously beautiful.
You should release it as limited run guitar
OMG that blue!
It's so ESPish... And I love it!
Guess what
3 years later he showed it at namm 2022
It's low key a work of art. It's definitely a legendary Item.
Jake's technique is insane! So controlled.
Worst periphery guitarist playing the worst song on the album
@@polpottopg disagree. they're all skilled. Jake has his fair share of crazy good riffs.
@@polpottopg what a pathetic comment. You’re the worst guitarist in comparison
@@polpottopg lmao
Seven strings of wonder. Are you kidding?
Man I appreciate the time and effort into your work. The heavy hitting riffs hit me hard
Great! Hopefully this playthrough series will be completed with _"Periphery - Reptile (Vocal Playthrough)"_ 🎙
Satellites!!
I can't stop watching this gem... you rule Jake!

The Bad Thing 2: Electric Boogaloo
Bruh, I thought the same thing hahaha this is my favorite song right next to The Bad Thing
>Eccentric Buffalo
Eclectic Blufferloo
Is this a TTDTE reference ?
Epileptic Buckaroo
Most technically precise guitarist in Periphery.
This is one of my favorite songs on the album. Got's that Meshuggah vibe, killer!
One of the best songs on the record imo. That beginning riff is huge
Now I know who is Mr. Robot! This Ibanez is so far the most beautiful guitar I've seen in many years.
Everything about this song is just so epic. Definitely one that grows on me the more I listen, but I appreciate the playthrough's highlighting the brilliant instrument work on this album so far!
Now just praying for a Chvrch Bvrner drum playthrough.
Nick Acker Yes definitely need church burner playthrough.. I want to see Matt not be so chill behind the lot haha.
Simply epic bacon FTW
Didn’t like this song for the first couple times I heard it but now it’s one of my favorites
jake looks so calm while he's playing the gnarliest riffs
Totally missed the chance to dial 27 on the microwave 😂😈
João Medeiros are you stalking periphery? Literally see your face here as one of the first commenters on everything they post
The short annswer is yes
@@kimseniorb lol dude, he even post's covers of periphery's songs before they do =P
@Joao dude, i'm still waiting for your tone video!
The long answer, the band is freaking great and we enjoy the music!
@@kimseniorb Check his covers they're fantastic
Still waiting for Garden In The Bones playthrough
Jake plays a bit of it at the very end of the P4 documentary
But that's like the weakest song guitar wise
@@PorscheJon Well that's an over-exaggerated use of superlative. Practically speaking you seem to have forgotten Crush and Satellites then.
@@KCYT2023 Satellites has an awesome guitar riff and crush doesn't qualify for a guitar playthrough; there's nothing to play!

He came out and sound tested with this opening riff right before they went on. I shat myself. Sounded so fkn good.
favorite song on the album. amazing!
I've learned something very important from this playthrough and Mark's.
Periphery don't wear socks inside.
Remain indoors
What are socks?

Soooooo COOL! Love it so much, guys. Jake you are awesome AF
I don't see that guitar on the Ibanez website!! now that's bad ass!!! baritone with a slanted single coil in the neck. YES!!!
Killing it as always Jake! My favorite intro riff off the album.
So do you run the microwave in the effects loop of the invective or in the front?? cuz i always get a high pitch hiss every time i use my microwave with my tube head, so i might be doing something wrong. need your help pls
This is one of my favorite songs - the solo is amazing!
For anyone curious that looks like Misha's Peavy Invective.120 in pearl white. It's a beast of an amp.
0:12 *a wild tycho appears*
0:27 Tycho sees all

Seeing Tycho in the background makes the video doper x♾
Love they did some more direct basic stuff this record!
i love this song so much man
Love it more each time I listen
holy EFFING hell this tone is immense
That guitar is pretty damn sweet Jake. I liked it when I first saw it and now even more.
Awesome performance Jake, super tight!
I don't know man, you guys blew me away with everything I heard on the demos but I honestly didn't know what you were shooting for with this album
Nice He is Legend poster in the back! criminally underrated band.
I love that guitar...
5:21 I always wanted to know how he got that sound/note out of the guitar. I learned something new (not that I know anything about guitars anyway)
If I remember correctly, that's called tapped harmonic. There was a video about 4 types of harmonics on TH-cam
@@cyntdestroyer69xd 🤓 Oo dang, I'll have to read up more on that, thanks!
What a lovely Ibanez!
Ayee Jakey! Been waiting for this video for a while 😌
That is probably the most beautiful Ibanez I have ever seen.
Amazing cover, its crazy how you look like that jake dude in priferi
prifrei
Omg Spencer is killing it so hard at the end
God I could watch this guitar all day
Can we take a moment to appreciate the insanity that is Spencer's vocals on this track?
Probably one of my favorite songs on the record!
This is the best playthrough of ever
This is easily my favorite track on the album.
Are we going to get a Nolly playthrough? Maybe CVRCH BVRNER
🙌🙌🙌🙌
Amazing performance.
Great performance in MI last night guys 😍 this song wouldve been sick to see Live!
That fkn Ibanez 😍😍😍
man, that guitar is beautiful
Some STRONG Cacophony vibes on this solo my dude! Am I hearing more Becker, or Friedman? I'm not sure but absolutely ace execution Jake! Cheers from Memphis!
Knew that was a Jake solo, haha. One of my favorites from P4.
Funny to see the you look bored posts. Timing is everything on this song. You look like you’re in the zone. Good stuff!
5:04 so there's also the lick in this one... I think I'm going to check Mrak's solo now
Not quite the lick but somewhat close
God I want that guitar!!🤘🏻
Such a sick looking guitar
Awesome!! I had a feeling this would be next!! :D That guitar is crazy!!
I think this is my favourite solo from Hail Stan.
OOooooo

Awesome cover dude. I think that might be the most accurate cover I've seen so far. You have a good ear!
I know right!! it's almost like it's his song lol
my god that Ibanez is amazing
Good boy, Jakey!
this blue guitar and the black premium 7 string need to happen Jake!
Super clean setup
Man, that guitar is so cool! It's so cleannn :D
That Ibanez is goooooooorgeous 🖤🖤🖤

Love this video! 🤘🤘
Nice work guys
Love that Husky or Malamute dog in the background.
Thanks jake
Top 5 favorites ever
Awesome cover dood!! Thumbs up!!
Non-guitarist question here... at 2:30 why are the top strings so much louder than the bottom strings? Or am I imagining it...
The intro gets me every fucking time man
the solo 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
this new album is so good
