I love listening to classic rock! Especially when I was a kid, I really enjoyed this type of music genre, they're my favorites and as well as new wave, psychedelic rock and punk.

I hear ya regarding back & forth communications!
I try and I try, but even with a channel half the size of yours, communication gets harder and harder!
I have chronic pain issues as well, and I really get how that can punch a hole in your whole day!
Do whatcha can Larry! No one expects more of you brother!❤❤❤

Love that metal intro to your video. Nice touch. I discovered Roger Dean through Yes. That Demons and Wizards cover is classic. So trippy. Found a poster of it and had it framed. Love the title song on Slow Train Coming. Check out his Infidels album. Very good. Mark Knopfler and Mick Taylor (Stones) play on it. You mispronounced one of Johns song titles. Sorry to get so picky. But that's "Give Peas a Chance." :)

glad someone appreciates Slow Train Coming. both Precious Angel & I Believe in You are gorgeous. When He Returns gets me emotional too. he was on fire during that period, love his passion in all the live shows. I’m also a big fan of Shot of Love even though people despise that album lol.

My band at church plays Man Gave Names to All the Animals, such a fun one to play. Bob Dylan says that you don't have to be religious to like gospel music, just like you don't have to be a murderer to like a song like Folsom Prison Blues. It's about the feeling a lot of the time. How dare you message Mollie! haha.

Nice picks, Larry. I consider Marillion a "neo-prog" band and they were better with Fish.
    My current "perfect" albums include:
Grateful Dead - RFK Stadium, Washington DC, 6/10/73 (my 1st rock concert and 1st Grateful Dead show) US release: 6/30/23; Good Rats - Rats To Riches; Smoke Rise - The Survival Of St. Joan (Paramount Records PAS-9000 LP; Flawed Jems GEM-106, unauthorized Swedish release CD; available on TH-cam)

Hi Larry ...sorry to hear about your pain...I'm wondering, since you like to cook, do you ever use the orange spice turmeric? It does wonders for aches and pains...I had constant hip pain for many years that is now gone since I've been cooking with turmeric...I use turmeric in almost everything I cook along with black pepper, which you need to add for the turmeric to be absorbed by the body correctly. be seeing you

Yes that ‘Demons and Wizards’ is a belter and I just remembered another belter by a band I keep forgetting to push and that is ‘Automatic Man’ their self titled debut with Pat Thrall doing great work on lead guitar. Mentioning that excellent E.L.O. album reminded me of the track ‘Livin’ Thing’ (from ‘A New World Record’) where I’m sure they are singing:
‘It’s a livin’ thing, it’s a terrible thing to lose,
It’s a gibbon thing, what a terrible thing to lose.’
And I have to agree that if I had a pet gibbon it would be a terrible thing to lose.
‘Slow Train Coming’ is good but I prefer ‘Fast Train Coming’ which is Slow Train Coming played at 78rpm, then Mr. Dylan’s vocals sounds much better and an added bonus is that you can now enjoy the album twice in less time than it takes to listen to it once. Dylan fans, no need to thank me.

Okay, last time I added 10 live albums, this time I will add 10 albums released past 2010 that are at least candidates for perfect albums (test of time, you know).
    1. Samantha Fish - Kill or Be Kind (2019)
    2. Saint Jude - Diary of a Soul Fiend (2010)
Unfortunately, this is the first and only album. The band broke up when Adam Green, one of their founding members, passed away way to early.
    3. Larkin Poe - Venom and Faith (2018)
Could have chosen their live album Paint the Roses but that one's a bit short.
    4. Mihali - Effection (2022)
    5. ARO - Vacare Adamaré (2021)
    6. Gary Clark Jr. - This Land (2019)
    7. Gov't Mule - Revolution Come... Revolution Go (2017)
    8. Warren Haynes - Live From the Moody Theater (2012)
    9. Danielle Nicole - Cry No More (2018)
    10. Tool - Fear Inoculum (2019)
    11. SUSU - Call Susie (2023)
Gonna be released November 2023... but I know it will be good.

The first three albums I ever listened to Larry was when I was eight or nine years old and it was at my friend's house and it was his older brothers records and they were Twist and Shout by the Beatles,Surfing U.S.A. by the Beach Boys and It's the Searchers and I loved them all,in my mind they were perfect records and I actually felt a little guilty Larry because at times I liked the Searchers album as much as the Beatles album,oh my God blasphamy!!,yes what can you do,the Searchers were great! I seem to lose interest in Cheap Trick after One on One. I love Bob Dylan’s Slow Train Coming but I am not even spiritual really. I respect that perspective if someone is sincere; it’s lack of sincerity that bugs me.
Love Clutching at Straws and Indiscreet of course, and Approximately Infinite Universe.

DEMONS AND WIZARDS was a killer album, Uriah Heep's first few records were classic. But... I saw them on IN CONCERT in the early '70s and was totally disappointed, as I recall. They just didn't look or sound as I expected. Ah well, maybe they had a bad night. I loved Dylan's SLOW TRAIN COMING album... I thought, at the time, that it was interesting that Bob Dylan, who I believe was or had been Jewish, suddenly started releasing Christian albums. And it was great, heartfelt music. I used to have that Yoko album, I haven't heard it in decades but I do remember it was surprisingly good... I say surprising because it was easy to underestimate Yoko in those days, and she really excelled on that record (I keep saying record, instead of album or CD or whatever, because I used to have a massive record collection of over 2,000 record albums. I sold them off during several moves, and to this day I wish I still had them all). NEVER A DULL MOMENT was an excellent Rod Stewart album ("You Wear It Well" was a fine performance. My favorite record of his, however, was an earlier release GASOLINE ALLEY... that one was so earthy and emotional, it was the first time I'd ever heard him. He's one of my all time favorite singers, seen him in concert at least 2 or 3 times. Enjoyed your assessments of these terrific musical releases, thanks for sharing your thoughts. :)

I think that was the Uriah Heep TV appearance where David Byron was pretty drunk... or another one around the same time. I also remember one with Golden Earring and their singer Barry Hay was totally hammered, ha ha.

Uriah Heep has twenty five studioalbums by now. Some quite different and some of them rather mediocre. I don't think fans who has all the albums actually listens to all of them. With that said. I do think there are songs that are hidden gems and several strong albums in their catalog. Not just from the early David Byron years.
