@@indyhamilton698 Yeah, so it started a few years ago when I auditioned for a mod called Interesting NPCs. I was cast an Orc character, several dark elves, and one Thalmor. Tangentially, it's always amusing to me how we see ourselves vs how others see us. (I'm Irish-American, 6'2", and relatively well-built, so I wanted to try my hand at voicing Nords, but it turns out personality-wise I'm better-suited to elves. Who knew!) Tally is a labor of love that both the mod creator and I collaborated on, from the script all the way through the character design. When I voice any character, even elves, I place myself in the character's shoes, and whenever possible, add my own backstory and flourishes to make that person as "real" as possible.
He sounds like the male version of that female Thalmor voice, the one that Taarie has. I don't want to be mean to other creators but this voice is much higher quality than a lot of other custom-voiced Skyrim followers!
agree, the voice acting is very impressive, the vaniila thalmor voice (Ancano) is just irritating but this one is hilarious! just so good! love this VA!

It can't be easy trying to top Neil Dickson's vanilla altmer (male), which is almost iconic for its oily smoothness and haughtiness, but I think you've succeeded! Your version is more snarky than oily, and the dry humour! You have brought those lines to life so well, it's fun just listening to the samples. ;-)
I can imagine Kaidan listing out insults and threats, while Taliesin lists off the number of times he's heard that before. They would NOT get along, but then again, I enjoy that kind of animosity.

Recently downloaded Taliesin and only used him briefly so far as I'm testing load orders but i'm in love with him already :) brilliantly done, both the writing and the voice acting. Thank you to everyone involved in creating this wonderful character ❤

this fucks so hard i have never actually liked a skyrim npc on more than a surface level??? also the mod you use to make cinematic cutscenes adds to this, i love it lol. it reminds me of ffxv sort of doing the same thing

Oh no...not another one to the list! I've yet to play Skyrim on PC, only been able to play on PS4, which is very limited. By the time I get a PC, it'll all be new to me, but I've already got a huge list of mods, like the museum, Inigo, Lucien, Kaidan and now this fellow! At least it'll keep me going for another 10 years until ES6 comes out haha! He sounds really fun though, and if he is made romanceable in the future, even better but I love the banter in all these mod followers, it makes it more believable and I really look forward to diving into the PC version for all these. I plan on working on a personal quest or two for him! I'm also open for suggestions once he's released. And yes, he's very much aware of the Dragonborn's race.

There are a lot of follower mods, and the quality varies a lot, but to see one with not only good writing but good voice acting, AND such nice integration is awesome. He's going in my follower list for sure! You guys plan on any custom integration with other high quality followers (Inigo etc)?
Well that kills my skepticism--an Altmer follower that sounds hoity-toity, aggravating, believable, AND endearing! I'm probably not gonna take Taliesin in every playthrough but I most certainly will give him a shot!

He's at the hidden statue of Talos by Lake Illinalta. Start at the 3 guardian stones follow the path up, and take a right at the fork in the road. Follow it straight till you come to a hill and follow that up.

I have plans to find someone to help me port him to Xbox. Interactions with Lucien and Inigo might have to remain a dream since their authors are very busy, but I can try some interactions with Serana.
I strongly suggest that if, one has Kaidan in their posse, I'd keep an eye on him so Tally doesn't feel his blade. We all know what happened to Kaidan at the hands of those gold armoured devils!
@@indyhamilton698 With the original Kaidan 2 mod, yes. I'm well aware of his backstory as the possible last of the Akaviri who was captured and tortured by the Thalmor.
My only problem is his name would better suit a Reachman, seeing as it's Welsh and they're clearly based on the Welsh (particularly their naming principles)
@@124VAM the most experienced thalmor always have an Alias. Though he does sound somewhat close to a western European, especially his voice sounds like a narrator from AOE2

I personally kill any thalmor i can get away with, i finally found one i won't kill because of the Morbid Cynisim, Because he's cynical against the Thalmor as well. I owe Ulfric's rebellion 10.000 gold.... oh god i shouldn't had bet against myself.
What spells does and can he use? I am curious if you programed him to be a pretty standard thalmor who uses apprentice level spells or id you decided to up his arsenal to higher level spells.
Taliesin takes Ondolemar's route with Magic by using Ice spells instead of Fire and Lightning. He uses Ice Spike for ranged attacks as he closes in to deal damage with his dagger. Additionally, he keeps himself fortified with Oakflesh and keeps himself healed with Quick Heal and Close Wounds. This mer will be able to look after himself in battle. As is his duty.
Update: Could be this May if I'm lucky! Or early June! At the moment its kind of up in the air. There are a few more things I'd like to iron out, such at a stronger frame work so he won't be affected by mods like Amazing Follower Tweaks. Then I should be done.
