I originally purchased this device in 2017 for the intended use in the tub. But when my spouse fell and I wasn't capable of lifting her up I quickly assembled the unit to do just what this video illustrated. It been used at least a half dozen times in emergency usage. What I do now is to have it set up in the lower position in a closet ready to use. I also recharge the battery quartly and after each use to be ready of usage. It's really been a great assistance. Thanks for the video.
What a wonderful demonstration have just opened mine an hour ago and panicked as firstly thought of how will I understand the assembly I'm an 81 year old female but found a great demonstration but then thought will this let me slide on sideways will it break the sides ,had another fall last week and that means can't get up without help, took 5 hours last time but I'd bought a blow up bed and when family members arrived I'd been on the floor for 2 hours took another hour to get me onto the bed and lifted high enough to roll onto the settee was exhausted by the time I was up,thats why I decided to buy this chair and I'm very grateful for this video it answered all my concerns so thank you
This is a great video! Very informative. My mom (in her 90s) had one of these chairs for taking her bath. But we were also always very concerned about her falling in the house. I wish I had thought about using her Bellavita chair when she fell. While I realize the ambulance attendants might have still needed to check her out, It might have saved us some anguish!
Funny. I’ve been looking for something like this for years and I could never find it. I was planning on getting a powerchair lift mechanism to try to Jerry rig something. This is great.
Anyone else had their controller already charged don't know if it was a return seems okay but not sure if I charge it with the light on will it interfere with the power as I want it to be ready in case but don't want to overcharge ,thank you again for this great video.
i have 1 of these and its a godsend , since hurting my back having a bath was out of the uestion but i bought 1 of these , and its a diamond , a little costly but th good thing also about it , if you go on holiday or stay some where you can take it with you
As a frequent faller myself, I've also been considering this model. Specialized recovery devices are rare and ungodly expensive, but this looks like it'll probably do the job just as well. Thanks for demonstrating it in this use case.
I have really bad knees and can't stand up on my knees from a fall I had to use it 2 times all ready I fall off my bed once , and was unstable fall once again , when no one is home I fell more safe having it I pull it from under my bed but you can put it any were it keeps me from putting so much pressure on my heart and knees having to raise from the floor
I bought a similar model for my mom to bathe with. It wasn't comfortable enough for her in the bath, but we kept it for just this purpose. We've used it a couple of times already. I would have never been able to get her up myself. She weighs close to 300 pounds.
even if you get a new bathtub lift..do not get rid of her uncomfortable one ... because it will help lift her from the floor if she falls. There is one video on this page that shows how much invaluable use it is for people that fall and cannot get up.. unless a ambulance is called to lift them.
I'm wondering - - - I'm a right leg, above the knee, amputee and sometimes get on the floor, or on driveway, like to the get under the deck of my my zero turn mower to swap blades. The mower lifts up to give me access to the blades, but I still have to get on the ground so I'm in no danger of it falling on me. Getting down from my wheelchair isn't too bad, but getting back up into the wheelchair is a BEAR! I thinking I could get this thing to lift me off the floor and then transfer back to my wheelchair. High high will it lift?
The device is wonderful. But definitely check the measurements of the bathtub before buying. Also I learned that some are very heavy and those should be used where it isn't necessary to take it in and out of the tub. We ended up removing the sliding shower doors and putting up a shower curtain.
You cant grab onto the flaps to help transfer...not good! Did you tell the lady you will be making affiliate money off this video? I hope you pay her part of the profits!

Hi, what is the difference between: Drive Medical Whisper to Drive Medical Bellavita?

Can I use this if my jetted tub doesnt have a jet behind me?
She was a great sport too!
She really was.
I would have loved this for my dad in his last days that he was still "mobile" because he would fall and I had a tough time getting him up on my own.
Yep. There are a lot of slow and non-emergency falls that don't need the fire department but loved ones can't always help the person back up.

Is this is available i India or not
This would be great if you had the option of adding hand rails. It would then be multi use
That is a great idea.
Will this work for me I can't bend my knees at all

It goes up to 19-inches. Weight limit is 300-lbs I believe. You would need to check the specifications before buying.
Brilliant idea thanks! 😊
Don't forget to research this product. And make sure your bath fits! There are good and not so great reviews...
I am going to test it in two different tubs at my house. You are definitely correct.

I want to know how much this is
Do sides fold up?
What is the cost
How far back does the back recline
It only reclines when it is down and not very far.
I want this
There is no room in a tub for the unit and a person to slide off of it. I don’t understand how you get seated outside and get the thing inside.
Start with it inside the tub, sit sideways on it, turn or swivel your body lifting your legs over and into the tub.
Great idea
Thank you! Cheers!
