Greetings! Ordained Zen Buddhist Priest and authorized Dharma-teacher here. While many contemporary concepts found within New Age and Neo-Pagan movements do indeed originate from Buddhist thought, I find it hard to make the case that manifestations are one of them.
For example, the quote in this video attributed to The Buddha is a common yet incorrect translation of the first verse of the Dhammapada. A correct translation would be "Mind precedes all mental states." It has nothing to do with how our reality is created, but rather to show how our different mental states are interconnected with each other.

I think the purest spell I’ve ever done was a healing spell for someone who deliberately wronged me. I realized that it wasn’t really “me” that was the problem. This person was sick and desperate, which is somewhere I’ve also been. So far as I can tell, it worked.
also, congrats on the us edition of the book! i have the uk edition (loved the book so much) and i'm so tempted to get the us edition too because the cover looks so beautiful 😭
Would love to see this as a series, more about how spellcrafting changes based on the intention. Is there a different approach to spellcraft when the magick is baneful vs healing, attractive vs repulsive etc etc. One thing I’ve been wondering as well is whether there is a sequence of actions that is more powerful than another. Additionally, what does the calling on outside energies (spirites, deities, etc) actually look like. I think a walk through would be very helpful for new practitioners because it gives them a walkthrough to follow to get into the motions.

I thank the goddess for leading me to this video, because I have been struggling with my spell work, and didn't have a clue why. A lot of what was said in this video did resonate, and helped me put into words what was wrong, particularly with the emotions and feeling slighted, and I thank you for that. Hi Frankie, wow I really enjoyed this video. Spells require a lot of responsibility and I haven’t heard any other creator really touch on that as well as you did.
I would really like to know how you decide what to say during spells (besides prayers), or if you even do so at all. 💗
Great question! I usually like to state intentions directly, or do chants. I like a lot of repetitive talking - so if I say a prayer, I say it 3-9 times, and same with stating intention or the chant/rhyme for a spell!
@@ChaoticWitchAunt I find that chanting/repeating rhymed really helps me to raise more energy and pour it into my spells.

I'm not trying to put you on a teaching pedestal or anything since you're not obligated to, but any informational video is something i really love! I know a lot of witchcraft is learning on our own- very trial and error before success- however, for certain topics (Like spellcrafting!) getting the information from online where one can't be too sure if it's trend-hopping and appropriation, OR if its lived experience and true insight!
I would absolutely watch a series on like basic topics 101. even if its the very bone-dry information that you learned in the beginning. spirital beings (forms of helpful spirits, harmful spirits, and the different ways they work) would be one of the main topics i would deep dive in. however, without access to books and with pop media loving to ramp up spiritual encounters, i don't know where and who to trust.

This is a great video! It's very informative and helpful to listen to you about your process. Just a side note though, it would be nice if influencers and practitioners from cultures would try to pronounce names and terms from other cultures (especially those that have been colonised and appropriated by the white west) correctly. I'm from India, it would be so refreshing to hear someone pronounce BUDDHA correctly; it isn't 'Booda' it's pronounced BU-DD-AAH. 🙈

I know In the later parts of my degree when things were reaching their head, my practices really faltered. And now whilst trying to build and release three projects, time just gets away. There have been a few cases where I’ve been able to do particular things (like work out offering for Freya). But other parts I find little to no energy really remaining to do other workings.
What was/is your experience with this? X

I'm curious what spell crafting has to offer that I couldn't get from just law of attraction or manifestation techniques like the ones I get from Neville Goddard and Abraham Hicks.
So one question, is it normal to have a Super loud ringing in your ear while a shot of energy goes down your back while asleep or meditating? (Also I love your videos 😀)
Wow I am a little scared that you can actually hex people, wouldn't want to get on your bad side!! But on a completely unrelated topic, apparently your view on affirming as if it is happening now is something Neville Goddard talks about. He's a very popular new age author from the 1950s and has a pretty big following on reddit and youtube. I'm actually hoping to get good at manifesting by following his advice, its just really hard for me to believe that my thoughts are really making a difference and I struggle to stay consistent. After a few days I feel like it isn't working and give up. I think I understand the principle - act as if, or pretend as if, its happening now. But the struggle is that you get little to no confirmation that anything is happening or that you're doing it right, so it can be demoralizing.
I have read many, many success stories on Neville's forums however, and am trying hard to keep up with affirmations. Present tense, keep repeating, try to believe it as if it were real. I'll keep trying. But from my readings, you don't really need any stones or ingredients. Its all just mental power.

hello, i'm a little confused on the books. on amazon there is a green version and a blue version. are they the same books or like vol. 1 and vol. 2?
So when making a spell how do you know if you should do a 7 day or or a simple chime ?

I think a good way to do this would be through divination. Do you have any particular deities that you are interested in? It definitely wouldn't hurt to do some tarot readings to see if you both are a good fit for each other.

I've just listened to it by Books and Broomsticks. I think its fun and interesting to listen to, bc they have different perspective on things and acknowledge the historical background.

Manifestations, manipulation, and money spells. Hoo boy.
First, i see the word manifestation as another word for creating or willing into reality. Manifesting love or a good job or health or etc. You are manifesting by putting not only your energies but also your intentions and feelings as well as your time and work and effort and actions, all of it to manifest or create into your life whatever youre trying to achieve and get. So for me i tend to ise the word create or Create, rather than manifest.
Second. Manipulation. This word has sugh an ugly connotation. Kind of like well people manipulate and use each other for their own personal gain. Doesnt matter if it ends up ruining the other person. So it makes me wonder, whenever people use the word "manipulate or manipulating and using the elements and energies". It makes me wonder about those people and whether theyre out to control and use the elemental energies, without care if the energies end up being used and fizzled out at the end of the spell. Kind of like a battery. Are people going about manipulating and using up all of these elemental energies until those energies are used up and dried up and gone? Manipulating and controlling and being mean and deceptive and shady with the elemental energies, thereby twisting and deforming all of those elemental energies? Thats typically my underlying question whenever people mention "manipulating" the energies. Similarly like when people manipulate and use other people, and then throw them away like trash.
Id like to use the word working with the energies, and for positive and good help and benefit. Not just for me but also for all as well. Not to use and control the energies for the sake of controlling other people and then throw them away, but to protect me and my family from anything or anyone who would be a threat to me and my own. I dont go out of my way to step on other people in order to get to the top, and i dont use magic that way either. Who in their right mind would even want to fight to be on top? Just like the kids game "king of the hill" where everyone scrambles to be on the hill, once there, now they gotta fight others off and down who are trying to climb up themselves. So not only do you have to fight and struggle to get to the top, now you gotta fight and struggle to stay on top. What a waste of time and energy, of course its gonna be exhausting for anyone whos on top and tries to stay there. For me personally, i stay on the ground and live my own life in peace and quiet, without needless and wasteful fighting.
So. When i say i dont go out of my way to fight to be on top, i also dont do this using spells or magic. Its such a waste of work, time and effort. Lol. I simply live my life as peaceful and healthy and happy as i can, to live and survive. And i use and work with energies not to manipulate others to get to the top, but to protect myself and my family against anyone else who wants to hurt or kill or destroy us. Survive and live my life in peace and health and happiness, and protect and take out anyone who goes about trying to harm or kill or destroy us. You know, like people trying to break into our home or steal our stuff, or trying to rape me or kill us. Protect me and my family from people going about directly threatening our lives. Heh.
Lastly. Money spells and money bowls. I keep telling everyone, dont do them. Money spells and money bowls, especially if theyre strong, will complety fuck and destroy your life. And possibly anyone else involved or close to you. The question is: do you want to survive and live a good and healthy and alive and safe and happy life? Or do you want to use money spells and money bowls and live a filthy rich bit miserable and dangerous and sick and twisted life? Heh.
