Confirmation bias and deception is a scary thing. Colossians 2:8 shows that Judaizers were trying to get Jewish Christians back to observing the Mosaic Law. (Col 2:11, 16, 17) The apostle Paul showed, one must appreciate the role of Jesus Christ in the outworking of God’s purpose in obtaining true wisdom and accurate knowledge. (Col 1:9, 10; 2:2, 3) The Colossians were to be on guard against persuasive arguments through a human way of thinking. Such a philosophy and now critical thinking would be part of the world,” that is, the principles or basic components and motivating factors of the world, “and not according to Christ.”-Col 2:4, 8. We all have two roads in front of us and have to make a choice on which one we will take. We all know there is only one God and one truth, and one organization Jesus Christ started in the 1st century CE. And we know that the true God conceals the truth from people that do not deserve to know. (Matthew 11:25) At that time Jesus said in response: “I publicly praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intellectual ones and have revealed them to young children. Also (Matthew 13:10-13)

Thank you for this video! Today is a holiday for the “world “, children receiving presents and family sharing time and love. My husband and I have woken up now for years (me 3 years, him 2years ago).
Last year with the C-19 everybody was in lockdown so We didn’t feel the loneliness or “confusion ” we are experiencing today. My non-JW children sent me pics of the grandkids opening their presents and their happy faces doing so and saying thank you!
So this year we feel odd! We feel lost and don’t take me wrong we have felt this in many occasions during the year but today it’s depressing! We are not returning to JWs because of their constant changes in doctrines, non-biblical procedures and the CSA.
But I needed to throw how we feel out there and just take it out of my chest, maybe helps me- so

I think for us ex Jw’s it feels like we don’t belong in that religion anymore but don’t really feel like we belong in the world either. That’s because of the years of brainwashing, fear, shame, and intimidation by the leadership. It’s a long process to heal from this kind of spiritual abuse. Don’t be too hard on yourself and make as many friends as you can. 🥰sending love from your sister in California.

We believe in a creator, a higher being as the father and in Jesuschrist and we read the Bible, research on Bible subjects, and try to be closer to the God thru Jesuschrist, not thru men like the Governing Body!

I am both envious and happy about your quick exit plan upon waking up. Not even pretending to go on for a full year after being sickened with the real truth. Pimos today are so fortunate to be homebound on zoom with the cameras off as they prepare for the grand exit. And always a smart move to change congregations for less familiar eyes and pressure. I am curious in your new congregation of a few months, did you feel guilted to try to give the appearance of comments and rare ministry in case brothers from previous hall inquired of you and likely called you? In any case, I could image your difficult recovery period before you were able to speak about this. Every reason you gave for leaving is spot on. How exhausting it was to be in a gathering and constantly censor exposing the things you like and the things you did w/o someone giving you a critical eye or a judgement comment to correct you and bring it all back to Jeh. One of my first acts of rebellion upon becoming PIMO was checking a brother/sister on any correction to me with "no, I meant exactly what I said or did and it doesn't bother my conscience." That and then forcing myself not to read the NWT for personal reading in my own home, nor preparing that WT for comment. And boy did it become apparent that I did not know much about the scriptures beyond what was presented and packaged for me. JWs have a huge deprogramming and mental development process to go through due to this abusive org. But it is experiences like this to show that it is possible to come out healthier, stronger and smarter on the other side, and the fear and work involved is worth it.

Sheila, your family will wake up. I woke up after 50 years of my life inside this very deceptive and sinister CULT. Try to move forward and prepare for their exit. I personally sought counseling. I think that it is very imperative. Know that you are definitely doing the right thing by Leaving the organization which is a very high controlled culture that is being severely religiously ABUSED. There will be a major BLOW to the GB and WTBS. Many many JWS are leaving. The more that we tell our own story and expose this CULT the more people are reached, and wake up. The key is : If we use the SAME techniques that the WTBS got us in, is the SAME EXACT ways it will be taken down. When we tell our story, its equivalent to be on a circuit assembly giving an experience in the organization. Sending our videos to others that we know is like placing literature. Those are just a few examples. More importantly being able to reason with JWS effectively is KEY. Stating the facts and exposing the FACTS OF THE CULT IS ALSO PROFOUND. I am sure that in the near future that their will be a major class action lawsuit. Writing ✍ to our senators and commissioner is also key. This CULT is definitely a terrorist type of organization. The leadership instills 😨 FEAR TO TERRORIZE ITS MEMBERS AND ROBS THEM OF THEIR FREEDOMS. This CULT is Modern Day SLAVERY hidden in plain sight. Human Trafficking is really what this CULT is doing in broad daylight. Getting the word out about this CULT in a very factual and dignified way will go a long way. I make it a point to tell my story to anyone and everyone every day. You wouldn't believe how people respond. They are very supportive and want to always know how 🤔 i woke up. My prayers are with you Sheila and I am hopeful that things will work out for you as well as all of us who have family and friends still stuck in this CULT. There is a great motivational speaker name Les Brown. He did a video called: Getting Unstuck. Its under Tony Wealthy. The video is an older one, and is about 45 minutes long. It's a great story that he tells about an experience. It is on you tube. I STRONGLY STRONGLY encourage you and anyone out there to listen to it. My sincere prayers are with you and everyone out there hurting from the emotional pain that this 💔 CULT'S LEADERSHIP has caused.

@@tammyg8031 Thank you for sharing your experience over 50 years. What an encouragement for individuals of that amount of time and more feeling to scared to leave the bubble or thinking that it is just too late with all of the time that they have given up and not knowing where to begin. It is under suck duress that they remain awake and imprisoned b/c they can't speak to anyone; and they turn to excessive alcohol or meds to cope with the anxiety and depression. Indeed we are fortunate to have an online outlet to which the org can not force you to stay away from no matter guilting and threating talks of apostates. But one has to be diligent and constantly prayful with outside research to take that leap and know that a true savior will catch them and show them, even to the direction of external help as well. I am much further along in my wake up process. So happy to say that I am absolutely NOT mental stuck and giving the org more power although I still get a few triggers that I can now shake off more easily so that it does not turn into lasting doubts. But I did search the old video that you suggested by Les Brown and it powerful. Along with this current vidoe, I will use some points for Brown to help others who still might be afraid to look outside. Stay well, spiritual and free.

I am loving this video because I feel like I could have made one for myself that would be exactly the same. I'm bookmarking this to help explain myself to others. Thanks.
Also your illustrations are great! They really help connect the dots. The feelings wheel and your drawing of WT having a lock on each aspect of your life uncovered a memory. I once planned a night out to a comedy club. I spent hours pouring over content trying to find a comedian that was "clean" and funny, and emailed everyone explaining how they were vetted. I was nervous if anyone would want to chance it. Then we went, and I was really anxious that the comedians would be bad and everyone would think I was bad. I thought it turned out well but when we got dessert after, everyone had a stick up their butts for idk why. Probably all feeling guilty in their own ways. We could never relax! Can you tell how desperate I was to have just a little fun? And now I could just walk into a club and enjoy a show. And actually have fun without fear.
I had no idea how anxious I was. It's so insulting how they tell JWs not to be anxious. I used to feel shameful about feeling anxious at all, and it was my whole life. That's some dark psychological bullshit!

Like many religions, JW's do have a lot to do with God. That is how they continue to exist.
Whether motivated by fear and shame or not, many of their members are God fearing, law abiding, and principled individuals, which is attractive to honest hearted people on the outside.
The harmful doctrines, cover ups, and policies of its leaders, however, have exposed them as just another man made religious organization that has benefitted financially from the controlled mindset of its members.

But unfortunately the jw organization embraces science instead of what the Bible says. It's really sad. In my opinion the truth that they claim to have, should never fear investigation. My dad was an elder for many years and even he left the organization because of the hypocrisy.

    • @MangoldArtdotcom
      @MangoldArtdotcom 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@level_earth_observer1986 The CO did not really want to talk about it, he used the typical scriptures like Isa 40:22. I didn't really expect him to admit it, in fact, I had written a few letters to the branch before that and never received a reply. But since that time, my research has led me to conclude that 'modern science' was created to deceive people about the causes of observable phenomena. Of course, one of the early deceptions was evolution with Darwin. And then came the heliocentric globe model (a geocentric stationary plane is more likely to be true). Then along came particle physics (with Einstein being the front man) - field physics seems more likely to be true. And since the plandemic started, I began to research germ theory and found that terrain theory is more likely to be true, especially with how the immune system works.

My situation was very similar. I was a ministerial servant and had gave my second public talk. A confrontation about the politics and racism in my congregation was a catalyst for me stop being afraid to ask any question I had. Including doctrinal beliefs. Needless to say that didn't go over well, I walked away 2 weeks later.

I do Bible studies with a JW. We talked about baptism, but I made it a point I don’t see the need to get baptized again. One thing I ant get behind is taking their word just because it’s what God says. Nowhere in the Bible it says to not celebrate your birthday. I also can’t get behind not taking communion if you’re not one of the 144000.

I am so glad you possessed a moral backbone and left this evil cult. I have a sibling in who actively shuns me, who full well knows the truth about "The Truth". That sibling's own pride and lack of humility helps them to defend the indefensible. This is why many stay in because if they left they would need to admit they were wrong and guilty of wrongdoing.

@exjwdiaries Hey Justin, When you became a Ministerial Servant, did the elders discuss 1 Timothy 3:8-12 (NWT) with you? It's interesting to note that JWs changed the word "Deacon" to "Ministerial Servant" in the NWT. In the King James Bible, it's says "Deacon." I wonder if they made this change to distinguish themselves from the church. I mean the title was fine in the 1611 KJV four hundred years ago . Again why did that need to be changed ?

Jwfacts.com is a great resource. The owner of that site has every claim backed up by article references, legal case references and / or scans. The ARC stuff is public record and there are recordings of the proceedings. It’s also worth looking into the work of Barbara Anderson (I’ll be making a video about her soon). She was an ex-Bethel worker who found several documents about known pedophiles in the organization.

"STOP, LOOK, LISTEN: Luke 8:17 "For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, nor is there anything carefully hidden that will never become known and never come to light." it is part of the new covenant that Jesus made with his disciples to eat the bread that represents his body and drink the wine that represents his blood, how will you have eternal life? (Luke 22:19,20). doctrine of men or the word of GOD?" observe (John ch 3:16,17) 16-“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever exercises faith in him may not be destroyed but have eternal life. 17-For God did not send his Son into the world that he might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through him." observe (John ch 6:53-57) 53- So Jesus said to them, "I say- to you with all certainty: Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in yourselves. 54 - He that feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I do. I will rise again at the last day, 55- for my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. 56- Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood remains in union with me, and I in union with him. Just as the Father who lives sent me and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on me will live because of me. the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". notice what Jesus said: Matthew 23:13 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because they close the kingdom of heaven to men; for you yourselves do not enter, nor do you let in those who are on their way to enter." look at the Conclusion of Jesus (John ch 10: 09,10) 9- I am the door; whoever enters by me will be saved, and will enter and he shall go out, and find pasture.” 10- A thief comes only to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.

the only problem for Jehovah's Witnesses is not to take as an example what Jesus instituted in their memory, which was to eat and drink the emblems in the Lord's Supper! for it is one baptism and one hope of eternal life. Ephesians 4: 4-6 note 4- There is one body and one spirit, just as you were called in a hope to which you were called; 5- one Lord, one faith and one baptism; 6- God, unique and Father of all, who is above all, and through all and in all.

Again you have hit the sweet spots that every JW needs to know about I feel sorry for the people that I used to know in the congregation. Most all were very nice people but totally misguided. One other thing that got me that you did not mention was the fact that the JW's never help anyone who is not a witness. Not the homeless or in national disasters or in Pandemics, nothing they do nothing but ask for more money and your free labor for their own self aggrandizement .

JW men had trouble with confidence and self esteem? Try being a woman in that place. It’s no wonder the sisters lived on pills that help them cope with depression. Jesus talked about his spiritual sisters, the Watchtower doesn’t mention them, (Matt 12:50 ) It’s all Christ’s brothers this and Christ’s brothers that. It’s all about those men in New York and their power over us.
