Held just 18 days after the September 11 attacks, the sold-out Farm Aid: Concert for America honored family farmers as a resource for the nation-strong farmers for a strong America.
Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp founded Farm Aid in 1985 and serve on the board of directors. The three agreed that family farmers were in dire need of assistance and decided to plan a concert for America.
Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's Board of Directors in 2001 to help further Farm Aid's mission of keeping family farmers on their land.

@@f69tele saw her years ago, co- headlining with Alan Jackson. Martina OWNED that crowd from the word go! I've never seen such an enthusiastic response-ever! She was a force of nature, that night. Heck- we made HER cry, we cheered so loud! Wow, an amazing performance, she had us jumping for joy, sobbing our hearts out, you name it.
AJ was his usual awesome self. Id buy tickets any time he came near here- and always got my moneys worth.
