Should've cancel getting married when he told his mother where she works at first meeting. He and his mom saw dollar signs. He maybe asked her to marry him knowing that she was a Pharmacist. Her dad a doctor. They were both golddiggers which in the end brought karma to have fun.
Did they really believe she would be such an ignorant doormat. Wonder why she married him in the first place after he and his mother practically admitted they were greedy for her money??!!
Exactly! She should have had enough common sense and insight when her MIL dictated to her what brand of scarf to buy. I would have slapped that winch bag into the after life! I would not even think of sharing my inheritance with ANYONE who disrespected my father!!! After that comment there was NO TURNING BACK! Then they had the audacity to go to Hawaii WITHOUT HER!?? This cannot be a true story. Between the son and his mother they’d both be nailed to a cross!
Teach your boys to do housework. Housework IS NOT women’s work. It’s the duty of whomever lives in the residence. I hate asking my son for anything or even accepting his help. Can’t imagine using him as an ATM. He’d do it, but it would make me feel like poop.
Laughing, my kids both learned the art of laundry and how to cook. Getting them to Clean was harder UNTIL our son bought a home, his girlfriend (now fiancé🫶) kicked his butt and trained him to really CLEAN. She is fantastic, our daughter prefers to keep life tidy and hire someone to the real tough clean she has a part time gig she uses just for that purpose .
And how to sew! All three of ours have basic skills. My husband can’t threat a needle! His mom didn’t do anything and he supported making sure ours were better prepared for life. That includes car care also and house repairs
Why do people expect to get anything they haven’t earned. Unlike most, My husband of 38years deserves a full half of what ever gifts might be left to us. Broken heartedly, I am now all alone I lost one brother on 9/11 and then my eldest brother from a heart condition brought on by drugs, and my Dad passed away too. What hurts me most is that no one remembers our shared experiences growing up it’s all gone. My husband is amazing to my mom drives her here and there helps with electronics etc..
Great, my friends she lost her husband with two daughter, her eldest daughter adult and got married to a average guy with great attitude, he takes care of her mother respectively as in law regardless their financial condition, some point he invested lot of time and effort to run a household, they gave him back whatever way means possible. They have lovely family.
Haven't the people from wherever these stories come from grasped yet that inherited, and assets from before marriage do not count in property division.
Remember, it's also coming from a place where the daughter in law is blamed if the offspring is NOT a boy. These days, we all know that the sex is determined by the male sperm but these stories still blame it on the wife.

My husband thinks my money is his money. Told me what I should do with my inheritance. Took half of the money from the sale of house I owned before marrying him. Very manipulative. I have since secured most of what is left of my inheritance from my family. At least I wised up before he spent all of it.
So Jack was interested in Kelly as an ATM. How nice! I'd have kicked him to the curb, MIL too. What's more, when she didn't like the scarf,I'd have said, I don't have to give you anything.
Prenup is the best. If you want to give it to your husband you can always leave it to him in your will. Be careful because you never know how he or she turns out. Because then you really know if they do love you when you marry and there's a prenup they won't care about the prenup.
I wouldn’t have put up with Jack the loser. He stopped supporting you as soon as you married him. The only reason he married you (the same reason his mother accepted you) was for the money you made. When your father died they incorrectly thought they hit the jackpot. 😂
All this enduring and taking care of husbands that treat these women like cash cows. Years of emotional abuse, staying and putting up with his lazy A for years. She was the fool

Depends on the laws of the state. This applies in community property states, such as California. The court can rule that inheritance from one party in a marriage can be divided equally in a divorce situation so yes courts can AND have allowed inheritances to be part of the marital assets during a divorce. That would probably only be done with extremely wealthy people BUT it can be done
Inheritances are separate property in California and probably almost every other state, community property state or not. People have a right to protect their children with an emergency fund without some unrelated bum or gold-digger snatching it away.

Jack has decided to split the inheritance between him and his mother. It’s not his money.🤬 or his mothers money
Good decision, you've found out their true color.👍🥰
The story had a happy ending, but Kelly shouldn't waited so long to get rid of Jack and his mother.
