Exactly, one moment the father says our only son, the next barely a minute the narrator says Larry's brother walked in. It really discredits the so called message.
It's puzzling why some South East Asian countries still view single parents as taboo when it's widely accepted elsewhere. Understanding these cultural attitudes could shed light on ways to promote acceptance and support for single parents. What do you think might be the historical or cultural reasons behind such views, and how can societies work towards greater inclusivity for all family structures?
WELL DAMN, THEY WANTED ALL OF HER MONEY. I'M GLAD SHE DIDN'T REGISTER THE MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE YET; AND FINE HER A REAL MAN WITH A SPINE, WHO WILL LOVE HER FOR HER.
There are only few countries in the world, where single parent are considered some kind of taboo, and those are South East Asian Countries. I am not sure why they think and behave like this towards single parents. In fact, the rest of the world praises a single parent for their sacrifice, dedication, devotion, love, and care.
Wow. His parents attitudes were a red flag and frankly so was the husbands. In would’ve ended things right there and walked out after meeting those in-laws.
Once again the title and title description are not what happens in the story. Asking for $8500 and all bonuses? Nope, If you are not okay with that you can leave, nope. Don’t misrepresent a short, low impact story by trying to hype it up in the title. It makes your listeners angry.
It is Naive, not Nave just so you know..... She should of bolted to safety on meeting the ignorant MiL..... But then there would not be this story......😁
This is not a good story for an American audience. Culturally not applicable to modern American families. Being a single parent is pretty much the norm, and not an issue in the US. No groom in the US would act the Larry did.
Lmfao except plenty of AH men here in the US act exactly like or worse than Larry. Parents and in laws included. No single parenthood isn't a norm it's been a forced option as most men and a lot of women just aren't raised in healthy backgrounds or taught what healthy relationships are.
I am sure this is indiann. Not being racist. I am indian myself. But the audacity of indian parents is something else. Search for that story where indian guy studying abroad married a white girl. And they asked for both their salaries and threatened them. Might be the same story.

@@pjm4653 wasn’t trying to be racist with the comment the attitude of the story characters is odd still entertaining the reactions sound like things I’ve read about or seen in old drama from that part of the world

The moment he said "My parents didn't say anything wrong" is the biggest red flag. I'd ditch him immediately.
Si o pop

Oooooopppppppppp😊😊😊😊😊po😊o😊l l
Never marry the only son of a Mama’s boy. Big red flag!
The first meeting with the parents was all anyone needed to tell Larry and his whole family to go pound sand.
I would have broken things off at that point. This was clearly beyond getting to know you type questions indicating future probable trouble.
Except for the error about one son or two, it's nice to have a story that's short and to the point......and ends well.

So are they engaged to get married but this incident happened at their wedding? AI don't know... AI don't care...

It’s prominent in the Middle East.
This a variation on a few other stories, single parent, greedy in-laws, a boss who is supportive of the bride. Hmmm
What is wrong with a single parent family? Life is full of events that affect the outcome, single parent family is not an overwhelming factor.
Thank you for not Marrying him

He's the only son but he has a brother?😃
What planet do these people live on where they fall on their knees and beg for forgiveness at a wedding???

How is he an only son yet he has a brother?
Larry is her onlky son then another man came into room and said Larry's brother.
exactly fake story for views nobody re-read these stories.
His Mother don't support her husband

Good U didn't enter such a horrible family..
This makes no sense.

You obviously haven’t dated a mamas boy. Many cultures within the us are like this.

The lack of punctuation is disturbing. It makes the story very difficult to follow.
I’m guessing this was written in one of the Asian countries this is not a typical North American attitude this straight early 50s take
