- A severe thunderstorm made it's way through Derry, NH on 6/18/2018. It caused Gusty Winds, Heavy rain, and frequent lightning. In this video, I started to do Ham radio operation during a severe weather event. My call sign is KC1JUB.
I live in South Eastern Mass and i was just wondering what frequency you use? Where is the repeater? Is it a skywarn, ares or just a regular traffic frequency? Thank you
teamstr259 I use the 146.850 Derry, NH 2-meter repeater. It's usually used for normal conversations, but it is also the WX1GYX skywarn primary repeater for Rockingham county in NH.
@@NESCWX do you know the skywarn frequencies for central Vermont ? I have a RadioShack weather radio that has skywarn scanner .
@@barberjeff67 Western Vermont, or Eastern? Check on NWS twitter for your all hazards radio, see which NWS office forecasts where you are.
@@denni04011 this weather radio has Ham radio frequencies for Skywarn storm spotters . No issues with the regular NWS radio.
