I know you probably don't read comments, but I want to tell you on the chance you do ! I just got the Dragon New Warm Mountain album cover tattooed on my arm, by a friend who also loves Big Thief. It was my first tattoo! We listened to your early stuff and I watched the trees sway through their window. I first started listening to that album when I was in the Adirondacks for a summer course through my college. I was going through a lot of change, but it was certainly for the better. When I listen to that album now, it reminds me of being knee deep in the marsh, laying on a big mossy boulder and watching the leaves above me, and the feel of the cool forest path on my feet. I remember who I was when I first got there, before I heard those songs, and then recall how I slowly changed as I listened to them over and over. That album was a channel to guide me through that time of drastic change, and I am so grateful for that gift.
