I moved out of Schenectady 2 years ago to Florida. Watching this is already nostalgic! Without even looking at the street signs, I know exactly where everything is. I spent half my teen years in Lincoln Heights and Schonowee Village, and then i moved to Woodlawn. In 2018, I did Uber/lyft, and I really got to know the city. People in Daytona Beach who think its hood here really gotta see this video!
It's a tough city with bad and very nice neighborhoods. As I watch these videos I always find myself reading the comments and I'm astonished at the level of ignorance some people display for places they've never been. Every city in America has some kind of drug issues and crappy roads and areas that are poverty stricken. The blame is only partially due to the residents and the other is how the cities officials just don't care to improve these communities. The people also have to set a standard of living for themselves as well. Be blessed everyone and pray for better days. Its getting dark
They need to take care of the potholes in the city worry about that first people work hard for their cars and strive and cry for the things that they pay taxes for and work for talk about that
Schenectady and look better than most towns in upstate New York and how I know because I’ve been there. It’s not bad at all. It’s only a few sections up here where is pretty tough but overall it’s a pretty cool town
Definitely you just get a lil more of that Bronx feel in the hood of YOnkers cuz it borders the Bronx, you still have that nyc neighborhood feel. But I see similarities in the cities upstate to Yonkers and Mt. Vernon.
