Verse: G Em7 G Em7 C D G D G C|D Em C D E7 Em Em Chorus: C C Em Em C C G D DSus4 Bass notes: 5th string for C (pluck 3rd and 4th strings), 4th string for D (pluck 2nd and 3rd strings), 6th string for the rest of the chords (pluck 3rd and 4th strings). Seems like he plays the E7 like a B7 (4th string, 1st fret; 5th, 3rd and 1st string, 2nd fret) in the video. This is all I managed to gather from this video, hope somebody else finds this helpful. Love the tutorial!
For all those saying this isnt for begginers, you are wrong. This is the first song ive ever played on guitar and I just finished learning it after a week of watching this guy and practice, and I can play it. You are amazing at explaining, THANK YOU! Because of you im gonna start playing guitar now lol...
Its still surprises me, just how many people do not know about Rocelangue Method (search on google), even though a lot of people learn how to speak fluently because of this training program. Thanks to my friend who told me about Rocelangue Method, I have learn how to speak foreign language in quick and easy way.
Great job on explaining everything! Is there a chance you have the tab written down? I don't read music or even know much about music theory. I found tab but would like to be able to have the chords described without transposing their names using the capo.
@rachelwhite306724 I do believe the "E7" is actually a "B7". With capo in 4th fret it would look like this... A string in 6th fret, D string in 5th fret, G string in 6th fret, B string open and E string in 6th fret.
Amazing tutorial! I love this song. I am just having problems with the part when you say there are two chords in one bar, and you have to do the first part of that pattern twice, I can't seem to play it correctly, can anyone help? Thanks.
It's really good, great tutorial! Only thing I'm missing is the picking pattern starting at "but you don't really.....", so C > D etc, it's too fast for me like that :( Can't find it on the internet either. Can anyone help me out?
hi, this is a very helpful tutorial and thank you for your work. i am a beginner and i cant seem to understand how you play the dsus4... did you finger pick it? if you did, i want to know how to do it cuz it sounds really nice :) can someone please tell me how to play the cord the way he did or a link to another video would be appreciated. thanks
He explains the pattern at the beginning of the video on the G chord. Just do that same pattern for the C chord (thumb playing the 5th string root) and D (thumb playing the 4th string root).
The "bass note" is the bottom note of whatever chord it is you're playing, not necessarily played on the bottom e string. it confused me to at first, but then i noticed what he was doing on the c and the d. it takes some getting used to, but i hope this makes it easier for everyone that had a hard time figuring out what the fingering was. if i'm wrong about this please feel free to correct me i'm a noob as well
@TrevorLeeC I ran into the same problem but there are many ways to play E7, the version I use is 0-2-1-2-0-0. Idk if that is what this guy plays but it sounds pretty close to me
can you do a tutorial on Home by Michael Buble as well? I really want to learn to play that song... nice video by the way... helped me learn HALLELUJAH :)
dude ur one great singer and I love this song and u sing it perfect .plz plz plz do the whole song on a separate video and have for download or not as long as the whole song and u sing it.plz plz plz .thx
the chords and picking are easy to read, i've been playing it exactly the same as him but i do ad my own little fairs to the song. Just need that voice though lol
well just go: .... in the C chord ---> i play 5,3,5,2,3,4 strings (holding the C chord) and D -----> 4,2,3,1,2,3 (holding the D chord)... hope it helps.. sounds kinda good to me. p.s .. String 1= the high E .. String 6= the low E
hey mate thanks for the vid, nice playing... ;) Ive got one question, if one is singing this does, in the chorus does one start already with the hallelujah on the second chord example at the beginning, one plays C twice and does one start the hallelujah on the end of the second C?
Verse: G Em7 G Em7 C D G D G C|D Em C D E7 Em Em
Chorus: C C Em Em C C G D DSus4
Bass notes: 5th string for C (pluck 3rd and 4th strings), 4th string for D (pluck 2nd and 3rd strings), 6th string for the rest of the chords (pluck 3rd and 4th strings).
Seems like he plays the E7 like a B7 (4th string, 1st fret; 5th, 3rd and 1st string, 2nd fret) in the video.
This is all I managed to gather from this video, hope somebody else finds this helpful. Love the tutorial!

@TrevorLeeC try playing an e chord shape and add your pinky on what would be the 3rd fret of the b string

dude your an awesome teacher!!!
It helps me with my own lessons. Just a little hint: At 8:14 the chord played is B7 - nor E7 as mentioned...
thanks for this, good tempo and chord change practice for beginners :) x
Never mind. I found the tab I was looking for. Thanks again!
Great job on explaining everything! Is there a chance you have the tab written down? I don't read music or even know much about music theory. I found tab but would like to be able to have the chords described without transposing their names using the capo.
Great peice of tut right here! Thank you!
what e7 are you using, when I play that section it sounds different

"with a tasty little sus there" Lol I love it. Great tutorial I played this for my music final, couldn't have done it without you!
@rachelwhite306724
I do believe the "E7" is actually a "B7". With capo in 4th fret it would look like this... A string in 6th fret, D string in 5th fret, G string in 6th fret, B string open and E string in 6th fret.
you're a good singer and a good teacher :)
great video. just wish there was more explaination about chord transition like the c to d around 5:20
This is complicated and I love this version but I don't understand how he does the picking after the first part.....
Amazing tutorial! I love this song. I am just having problems with the part when you say there are two chords in one bar, and you have to do the first part of that pattern twice, I can't seem to play it correctly, can anyone help? Thanks.
youre a rly good teacher! i learned it pretty fast :D ty!
really great lesson thanks
if anyone has trouble with the E7 chord after "the baffled king" part try B flat. i thought it sounded nice.
It's really good, great tutorial! Only thing I'm missing is the picking pattern starting at "but you don't really.....", so C > D etc, it's too fast for me like that :( Can't find it on the internet either. Can anyone help me out?
Jenny Rutten
he says in the video:) each chord is done only halfways through
hi, this is a very helpful tutorial and thank you for your work. i am a beginner and i cant seem to understand how you play the dsus4... did you finger pick it? if you did, i want to know how to do it cuz it sounds really nice :) can someone please tell me how to play the cord the way he did or a link to another video would be appreciated. thanks
It's called a capo, you can get one at any store that sells guitars. Awesomely useful.
Wow I wasn't expecting it to be that easy!
Awesome!! thanks so much for the tutorial.
U R GOOD, thanks, I needed this for a school project ;-))
Nice Lesson... thanks
He explains the pattern at the beginning of the video on the G chord. Just do that same pattern for the C chord (thumb playing the 5th string root) and D (thumb playing the 4th string root).
Thanks man, beautiful song

@TrevorLeeC try 0-2-1-2-0-3 I think that's the variation he uses
nice lesson cheers man
OMGGG You sing very well, I love your voice *.*
awesome tutorial
@dudaeleoeneka
for C you pick A string and for D you pick D string instead of low E. Simply the root notes;)
@TrevorLeeC I ran into the same problem but there are many ways to play E7, the version I use is 0-2-1-2-0-0.
Idk if that is what this guy plays but it sounds pretty close to me
Lovely!!!
can you do a tutorial on Home by Michael Buble as well? I really want to learn to play that song... nice video by the way... helped me learn HALLELUJAH :)

@whitelion97 you just do the first part of the pattern.. like before the strum.
On both.
(:
Hope it helped!!
I thought it was a B7 in stead of a E7. You should try it, it sounds really good too ^^
dude ur one great singer and I love this song and u sing it perfect .plz plz plz do the whole song on a separate video and have for download or not as long as the whole song and u sing it.plz plz plz .thx
the chords and picking are easy to read, i've been playing it exactly the same as him but i do ad my own little fairs to the song. Just need that voice though lol
