The green GTO is one of the Bamford cars. Yes, the Drogo was written about by Tony Dron in Octane after he drove it in the 2010 Tourist Trophy at Goodwood.
OMG! The noise! Glorious, beautiful noise! It varies between Thor sounding like he's trying to escape from the exhaust and angels howling on the overrun. Fantastic driving, glorious cars - and that noise! what more is there to say?
That is the difference between the regulars and the professionals that you see when Danny Sullivan drives for the 2nd part. Going fast but very smooth with his gear changes.
Great video, thank you for uploading it. I think having been to The Goodwood Revival every year since it started this is still one of my favorite cars!
Fantastic gentlemen! Thank you for sharing. I've seen mister hhh many times at the classic races and this is a great chance to say thank you for the fine displays of automotive glory. And the driving ain't half bad either. :) Alas I couldn't be at Goodwood this year but friends of my online simulation racing club Simjunkies were there and provided me with this link. I wish you many spectacular yet safe journeys and I'll be watching and cheering.
WOW! Insane! Speed, Sound and Driving Technique! I Was Terrifyingly Amazed With This Video! Awesome! Magic! And it is so fast. And I only emaging how difficult to control this car.
Hi, Gearing is spot on, max revs at the braking point and we had 500 rpm over the redline available. No brake fade at all, we brake before the kink and then again for the next. It has a racing gearbox so we can change very quickly.
..nice car and nice driving..feel like you were braking a bit early in the first couple of laps..I race old classics myself so I understand tyre temp, brakes and so on..you gain full confidence by 3rd or 4th lap..know the feeling..well done again.
The E-types are nowhere near their 1965 specifications, far too much development while the Fearrari is still a 3.0 litre with about the same HP as in period.
coenijn The Lightweight E-Types are another kettle of fish, entirely. Another dozen are being laid down by the factory. Chassis #'s they didn't use up. Or some such... Much like Shelby's recent builds....
***** Yeah I know, they already built 3 of those IIRC. Jay Leno did a very short piece on them when he was at Monterey car week or Pebble Beach last year if I'm not mistaken.
Sweet car! nice driving! Gears seemed a bit too short for that redline, at least in a couple of straights just before braking. By the way, that shifting is quite violent while racing! Also, did you suffer any brake fade? On the hardest braking point of the lap. just two corners before the main straight chicane, it seemed like you couldn't really brake one single time or using them to their full every lap. Hairy moment passing #61. Thanks for sharing, had a blast watching the whole thing!
Hi Hans, What a wonderful onboard video from this magnificent car, race and circuit. You are at an historic venue and making history yourself. What happened to part 2 of the video, we want to know how it ended. Because of the yellow flag you rejoined the race nearly last? Do you also have footage of the Spa 6 hours or the Masters from this year? John
I love listening to this engine, but watching these priceless cars racing so close to each other gives me heartburn. And every time I hear of one (or more!) of these irreplaceable cars getting destroyed at these events, it makes me mad. Yeah, good for the driver and that crowd that they got to enjoy those cars in the moment, but now NOBODY ELSE WILL because an accident resulted in the utter destruction of a historic vehicle.
too bad we didn't see the end of the race .how did you finish ? 3rd-4th ? or ? looks like pilot .2 caught up a little. did pas the green db4 in the end ? hope to see the sequel of this !! good drivers !! well done
How tall are you? Just wondering and love this video. My dream car is the 250 lm but the SWB would be my dream 'daily driver' in jest. Thanks again for this and your driving style beautifully Sennaesk.
That's incredible. I'd be sweatin' bullets worrying about hitting the other guys and flushing, what could be $80 Mil., down the drain. On the other hand, I'd be exhilarated as all Hell driving that amazing, beautiful machine.
What are the specs on that masterpiece of an engine? I applaud your skill and that engine is just phenomenal, to run it like that for that long is just so impressive!
That is some nice driving. If you can throw a fifty three year old SWB Ferrari around a track, especially one worth as much as this, you've got skills in my book.
Oh dear, is there anything connected to that steering wheel? Turn in seems poor but to be making 20 degree swings on the straight is for Allards! I have never had a car on the track that needed that much attention. Wish the wheel were in the camera view on Mike Campfield's smoking Healey at Spa, cuz I didn't get the sense it was such a handful, and he certainly passed more Jags and big stuff than these chaps managed.
Cos u have never driven a car on Dunlop crossplys I suspect ...arm chair critics ...evry arena has to have one...these drivers haven't got anything to prove and they certainly aren't goin to risk anything doing do or die manoeuvres ...swinging on the wheel as u put it induces side ways pageantry which aides exit speed ...it takes vast skill and decades of experience to drive these old racecars ...nuff said I reckon 🤡
Sorry. I was wrong. But It seems to be a battery of digital instruments. Maybe it's the light reflex, Uhm.. I will check my eyesight. Hovewer, See you in Goodwood 2013 ;)
One of the best classic exughts notes of all time love that ferrari 250 swb

That clutch was given no mercy !
''Little V12'' ASMR. Seriously I listen to this every day
great car great sound great driving, just fantastic!!!
WOW....... timeless vid!
He's really slamming that bloody gearbox and clutch when he changes gear . . . .
That is the difference between the regulars and the professionals that you see when Danny Sullivan drives for the 2nd part. Going fast but very smooth with his gear changes.
I love the way you rectify the problem where you initially bog down at the start. Awesome !
Now you know why they rave about the revs and sound of a classic V12.
Belissimo!
oh my god the DROGO looks a crazy horse hard to let drive in track.... i love this car.... i really love it
Awesome! This video is epic and the sound is great!
It's amazing how similar the new Ferrari V12s sound to this one despite being made 50+ years later., what a noise.
Nice display of the lost art of the double clutch downshift on the warm up laps.
What a treasure this footage is. Thank you
awesome vintage races, great quality..
What a sound, I could listen to that all day long, Scuderia Ferrari.
That was mega.!
Just magic.
Thank you so much for posting.
WF
Awesome car and driving! Best noise ever, thanks for sharing.
Sounds amazing!
Great video, thank you for uploading it. I think having been to The Goodwood Revival every year since it started this is still one of my favorite cars!
That's it, a car like this must be raced!
13:46, that was quite a dirty move from the SWB there going into st mary's, and it was quick thinking from you to avoid him.

will check for sure many thanks
Thanks for those notes. Keep those nice onboard videos coming! =)
Great drivers and great cars for great races
this is what every 250swb video should be like, in the cockpit driven like hell!
WOW! Insane! Speed, Sound and Driving Technique! I Was Terrifyingly Amazed With This Video! Awesome! Magic! And it is so fast. And I only emaging how difficult to control this car.

If not for this “ bread 🥖 van” there may’ve never been the 250 GTOs
Love it
Wat een geluid!
Amazing video! Respect.
PS: I'm stunned how much faster those E-Types are.
The E-types are nowhere near their 1965 specifications, far too much development while the Fearrari is still a 3.0 litre with about the same HP as in period.
Thanks for the information.
hhh1950 and an E-type is not nearly as valuable as any of the Ferrari 250 models.

superb
Hey I'm in the priceless car! Responsibility? Fuck that = full throttle :D
Yes full throttle but within limits.........
They're going hard but giving each other a lot of space.
Yeah I know but this is the way to drive a car like this, not to rev it to 3K rpm or go 60 mph around :)

Warmin up the tyres
Awesome
Full bogey in a 250!?!!! freakin brilliant.
TOO BAD WE CAN'T SE THE FINISH !! DID PILOT N.2 PASS THE GREEN DB4 IN THE END? HOW DID YOU FINISH ? 3rd-4th ? or ? good driving, good pilots
The last time this interior was changed was 1961!!!!
Only the steering wheel is more modern to fit my legs......
good vid, im a noob ; why do you make right left right left right left ? just for fun ? ^^
Is the green GTO in front of you David Piper's ?
There's a smooth shift and the V12 sounds in match with the box sir. Ever been to historic racing?
Hans: max 7500 rpm?
Eargasm, looks like a really fun day.
That's it. I'm putting a VDO clock in my 917/10 replica dash.
What did dude come in last place?
What are the specs on that masterpiece of an engine? I applaud your skill and that engine is just phenomenal, to run it like that for that long is just so impressive!
Thanks! Racing version of the 3 litre 250 Ferrari engine.
rcowner153
Basic late model 250TR/250GTO
306 hp @ 7500 rpm.
I would be so scared driving around those $10mil plus cars at those speeds lol.
That is some nice driving. If you can throw a fifty three year old SWB Ferrari around a track, especially one worth as much as this, you've got skills in my book.
Look at part 2 for the finish; I think we finished 9th or 10th.

wow...WFO..wide fucking open......awesome
I was there!!!!! :D :D
I just stuck a digital timer on the speedometer to see how much more time in the race.
Just checked, Danny’s video is 31 minutes
I like how at 28:06 he rubs the dashboard: "Good car."
So where is Pt.II??
*****
Found it!
Dank schoen!
can't remember!!
what kind of race is this? Half the participants either crashed or had to take a nap before the 3rd lap.
Goodwood Revival with some of the best racing drivers around....
AngryLlamaAttack A race you can't do.
GoPro camera
What?Only two minutes of Danny Sullivan, a proper racing driver?
Must be something wrong, Danny’s video should be 20-25 minutes
Not enough Danny Sullivan!
Redline bij 8.000 toeren.
Sorry. I was wrong. But It seems to be a battery of digital instruments. Maybe it's the light reflex, Uhm.. I will check my eyesight.
Hovewer, See you in Goodwood 2013 ;)
kKKKK O PRIMEIRO PILOTO QUANDO FEZ TCHAU PARA OS BOX JÁ VI QUE NÃO ERA DE NADA RSSSSS DEVE SER O DONO DO CARRO, O SEGUNDO PILOTO ESSE SIM ACELERA .
second driver's gear changes arn't nearly as quick
Boy, are you driving the pants off that multi million dollar car. Great camera, what make?
There should be a law against overtaking a Ferrari, especially a 250, but I guess it just wasn't good enough.
No, those Jags etcetera are not faster cars: are faster drivers.
Duccio Castelli Not true, the Ferrari has 3.000 cc /300 hp, the E types 3.800 cc/425 hp......there are not many drivers faster than Danny Sullivan!
colombo v12
should've been penalised for slackening belts on track and then releasing before stopping!
E-types out handling the Ferrari. over-correcting too much
I dislike the interior that is completly new/modern
superb
