Question, I got a Capture Card and utilized it w/ StreamYards but as happy as I am that the Camera (Sony VZ1), I'm wondering how to remove the menu screen? Is it a mode or setting I need to change? I see that there's a camera, video, and S&Q mode and I'm wondering if that's something to look into? Any recommendations?
I just bought the camera and apprantly it has the latest version of the update, 2.01 bu the option usb streaming is grey and I can't select it, What should I do?,
PLZ help is their anyway I can live stream this camera for gaming at 1080p 60 frames?? That is the deal breaker if I am going to buy this camera or not. Honestly. 🤔
I have a Sony ZV E10 and tried connecting it via micro HDMI to HDMI to a Gaming PC (dedicated GPU) but it doesn't work, my windows system can't find the camera device. I've tried plugging in HDMI on the dedicated GPU and HDMI on the motherboard but it doesn't work, is USB capture card the main requirement, please help. Thank You

Hello vertigev, Thanks for reaching out to us with your concern. Unfortunately, the USB Streaming option must be selected to enable the use of the ZV-1 as a webcam via USB. Using a 3rd party Video capture card via HDMI output may allow you to have the ability to begin streaming without changing any settings after initial setup. Additionally, If you assign [USB Streaming] to a custom key, you can launch [USB Streaming] just by pressing the key. I hope you find this information to be helpful! Best regards, Sony Support

When I first used Imaging Edge Webcam with ZV-1 (on ver 2.0), I only turned on "PC remote" setting and I was able to use the webcam without turning on "USB Streaming" in the ZV-1. In fact, the instructions on Sony's website for Imaging Edge Webcam did NOT say anything about turning on "USB Streaming". Now, I just installed ver 2.01 in my ZV-1. Just as an experiment, I found that I don't need to turn on "PC remote" to use the webcam. I just activate "USB Streaming" on the ZV-1 and it works. So I am leaving "Ctrl w/ Smartphone" ON and "PC RemoteFunction" OFF and just activate "USB Streaming" whenever I want to connect as a webcam. With these settings, I can connect to my cell phone anytime.
Mine seems to have the right version but won't let me turn on the PC Remote. It says 'This operation or setting not available as follows Ctrl w/Smartphone'. Then underneath this is the word ON which you can't click on or access. Any thoughts?

Why does it keep saying ‘could not find the camera for this update’ and it’s plugged in and the file\icon for the camera even pops up in its own folder I can view within my laptop windows (??) what the heck man…. I need this fixed it’s not letting me update it .?
So i went and tried to use my sony Zv-1 to stream on tiktok now here lie's the issue i tried to use my external RODE II wireless mic. it would not recognize audio :(. but the streaming came through crisp clear no issues on that also using the Elegato camlink 4k also. so it's lookin like im going have to use a Yeti mic because it wont transfer audio through on a external mic

You really shouldn't be telling your customers to use this camera for streaming, as they'll be lucky to get an hour of battery life out of this without the use of aftermarket dummy batteries and/or capture cards. Purchased one of these recently with livestreaming in mind and it's unfortunately useless as a camera source via USB beyond 60-90 minutes.
I couldn't get my Sony zv 1 to connect so I took it to a camera shop and they still couldn't get it connected... what is wrong with the Sony zv 1...now I have to take my memory card out my camera and connect to my phone to download the videos to capcut...I wish I never bought this camera it's poor quality..am vlogging outside..the screen is useless in the sun the stabilization isn't that good
these people dont think of all the issues it could keep their users from following this useless tutorial. mine does even have that function enabled to turn it on, its grayed out + I did update it
I initially couldn't turn on the PC Remote Function, it was greyed out because I had the setting above - Ctrl w/smartphone - switched on. Turn that off, then you can turn the pc remote function on.
another update, a user said above that they left ctrl w/smartphone switched on, and jumped to the next step - just activated usb streaming. I just tried this and it works as well.
Seriously though !! that music in the background is distracting, I'm not going to go over it again, looking for a new video, this is pointless, here to learn not to be entertained with music - sorry
720P ?! Are you kidding!? Worse yet, this is the most byzantine firmware update procedure I've ever seen. On a Silicon Mac you have boot in recovery mode and turn off security! This is a NO GO for me! The ZV1 is a POS! I'm trying to give mine away. FYI, My DJI Pocket 3 just works, has 180P and face tracking and a better mic.
Does the software not support the newest Mac OS anymore??

You gotta use a cam link. Honestly it's so sad that they think 720p is good lol.

Sony ev 1 does not support for window 11? keep setting up but still camera not responded .have to return ...

@MarbleYT You'd need a dummy battery but you risk frying your camera.
