I think you just need to organize your thoughts better before making the video on your EPIC moments. Maybe try to highlight why the moments were EPIC. Just to leave another game report here. An excerpt from another EPIC game from my plays: My fifteenth BOTC game ever, I was the Shabaloth. This was an EPIC game. The Tea Lady was seated between the only 2 minions I had - Devil’s Advocate and Godfather. I had a bit of a mix up with how the Tea Lady worked - I really thought the Tea Lady protected my minions for free so once the confusion had been resolved, it became clear that the Tea Lady’s apparent protection of the 2 minions was really due to the Devil’s Advocate credit. Originally wanted to impersonate the Innkeeper to justify the Tea Lady not getting killed every night. I later came out as the Sailor, once again upheld by the Devil’s Advocate play which made that possible. The Devil’s Advocate was the one driving the narrative and getting the mob to lynch others. The first night, the Goon was too vocal and rooting too much for Evil. He also wanted to be picked at night so he can join Evil. Not enough votes were needed to execute the Goon. The Devil’s Advocate then tried to nominate the Shabaloth in the final moments before dusk but time ran out and we got into the night. That night exorcism happened. No one got killed. Exorcist’s identity was revealed to the Shabaloth. We got into Day 2 and the Devil’s Advocate was being too convincing that people started suspecting his narrative and he was put on the chopping block. I think he chose himself the previous night? His survival from execution was attributed to the Tea Lady and he was cleared to be one of the good players. The Tea Lady was also affirmed. It helped that the Devil’s Advocate began drawing the sus to himself and used the Tea Lady to get the table to test out his allegiance and test out the Tea Lady. Night came. The Shabaloth killed the Exorcist as he exorcized another target that night. The Chambermaid was the second victim - from knowing too much info and having potential to learn even more. The Grandmother died because the Chambermaid was her grandchild. Day 3 came and the 3 deaths in previous night with 0 deaths the night before made it look like the Po was in play. The Devil’s Advocate now drew the sus on the Shabaloth and also hinted to the Shabaloth to come out as the Sailor. So the Devil’s Advocate got the table to test out the “Sailor”. On to the night. The Shabaloth killed the Professor for being able to resurrect the dead. The Minstrel was the other kill - to be on the safe side. On this night, the Good team had only both Outsiders and the Tea Lady remaining after 5 Shabaloth kills. The Storyteller at this point should have regurgitated somebody (Exorcist, Chambermaid, Grandmother) but hesitated. Day 4 came and by this time the Godfather had become sus. We were all seated in a circle and the Shabaloth couldn’t really communicate across the room. The Godfather was left to run his own solo show. The Godfather claimed Gambler. The “Gambler” was useless for the most part because he was under the Tea Lady’s apparent “protection” so his wrong guesses didn’t matter didn’t kill him. The Devil’s Advocate again directed the narrative and drew the sus on the Godfather. The Devil’s Advocate had selected the Godfather on the previous night. Godfather survives execution, once again “due” to the Tea Lady. Night came and the Shabaloth’s team were so ahead with only both Outsiders (Goon and Moonchild) remaining plus Tea Lady. The Shabaloth started to try preventing regurgitations and went to kill corpses. The only viable candidates for regurgitation were the Professor and Minstrel, but the Shabaloth targeted the Exorcist’s and Chambermaid’s corpses - I had understood that regurgitation should be previous night’s victims but saw games that ran the Shabaloth regurgitating victims from nights before so thought that no one plays by the intended rules. It didn’t matter, because the Storyteller hesitated again. Neither the Professor nor Minstrel were regurgitated. The Devil’s Advocate picked the Goon as he needed to change targets. The Goon changed allegiance to Evil. The Devil’s Advocate became drunk. Day 5 came. The Goon was executed because the Devil’s Advocate became drunk. The final night came. Tea Lady was killed, and corpse of the Professor was killed by the Shabaloth as well. Godfather activated him ability as Goon was executed - Godfather killed the Moonchild. The game should have ended as only the Shabaloth, Devil’s Advocate, Godfather remained. The Storyteller mistakenly regurgitated the Chambermaid to go on for one more day. The day broke when it shouldn’t have. Chambermaid was announced to have been regurgitated and then the game ended. Deaths - by Day and by Night Night : Day 1 : No one (not enough votes) Night : No one (Exorcism happened) Day 2 : No one (Devil’s Advocate apparently under Tea Lady’s protection) Night : Exorcist, Chambermaid, Grandmother (it looked like the Po charged) Day 3 : No one - Shabaloth protected by Devil’s Advocate (came out as Sailor) Night : Professor, Minstrel (clearly the Po was not in play) Day 4 : No one (Godfather apparently under Tea Lady’s protection) Night: No one (Exorcist’s and Chambermaid’s corpses) Day 5: Goon Night : Moonchild (killed by Godfather), Tea Lady In this 11p game, 8 have died but the Chambermaid was then regurgitated, so the final 4 were Shabaloth, Godfather, Devil’s Advocate, Chambermaid. Evil won. The Storyteller forgot to end the game after the final night, being too focused on regurgitating a dead player. Then we went into the day, and the Storyteller apologized for his gaffe and there and then ended the game officially. His gaffe was that he also regurgitated a player from so many nights ago when the officially wording reads as - only previous nights’ kills could be regurgitated. Meaning the only possible regurgitations were the Exorcist and Chambermaid as the previous night only their corpses were re-killed, not that it mattered as the game should have ended on the final night and not even get to the day. If corpses were re-killed in a previous night, could they still qualify for regurgitation? When that previous night no one was conventionally killed. The Evil team was so ahead that even I as the Shabaloth passionately told the Storyteller he should have regurgitated earlier. Like on the night I killed the Professor and Minstrel, only Good team members left were both Outsiders plus Tea Lady. Hence he could have brought back the Exorcist or Chambermaid then. So the Good team had something left. Anyways the Evil team celebrated and unofficially nominated the Tea Lady as our MVP. When really our official MVP had been the Devil’s Advocate.
I know I'm, late but if the Shabaloth "attacks" a dead player, they can be regurgitated next night. Same with an Al-Hadakia who choses a dead player, if they pick "live", they come back to life.
I stopped listening after #3 because it wasn't epic - more like brain fog. From #2 onwards they weren't first games anymore - why did you as the Imp agree to activate the Virgin's ability? That would cause yourself to be executed. And for #3, why did you tell the Investigator you're the Baron? When earlier you talked about free plays allowing you to lie and assume new roles. Then why didn't the Investigator act on that info? I guess the group you play with are a bunch of *Drunks. hahaha
but 1# is the best one! :O If, I the Imp attempt to activate a virgin and it fails, I can blame the virgin being poisoned or the drunk, and I stop a good player being confirmed. There was enough players in that game that I was sure there would be a scarlet woman should I be executed for it. The investigator was so focused on looking for what they saw at night that they dismissed my claim of being baron as me just goofing around.
@@CutlassBoardgames Ok your enthusiasm made me re-look into the vid and continue #1 and #2 but I got lost. I don't play those scenarios and characters. Do you have a link for me to go read up? I'll re-visit your video again when I know what's going on in #1 and #2. I have only played 2 games. Both Trouble Brewing. The first game (10p) was kinda EPIC because of the shock at the end. The Imp was an unassuming girl no one suspected. By luck, she killed the Fortune Teller on the first night, knocking the good guys a big blow. The Baron then claimed to be the Fortune Teller and the first guy killed on the first night didn't even assert even seemed more suspicious. The shock at the end was that the unassuming girl didn't even talk to her minions. And several nights no one dies because she kept letting the Monk live and protect people. The Poisoner mistook his ally Baron as the Townsfolk because he saw wrongly who the narrator/storyteller pointed out and identified wrong allies the whole game. So the Poisoner poisoned his Baron ally. The Monk and Mayor couldn't see eye to eye and there was a lot of in-fighting between the Townsfolk. I was the Drunk who was given the Slayer ability and I had minimal impact that first game. Second game (8p), I was the Monk and was taken out on the first night because a Spy was in play. The redeeming part was that we narrowed down very early the Imp and minion (Spy) to 4 people - that's like from 8 to 4, so from 4 people 1 was Imp and 1 was minion so like 50-50 then 50-50 again. That was because the Washerwoman and I were a power couple and we bought the Chef's story (he was unhappy being so useless) also added in the outsider (Recluse) leaving us to 4 other dangerous players. Spy outed himself early because he kept wanting the Monk to protect him and his claim to be the Undertaker didn't convince me. I prioritized the Spy for nomination and execution early on. How the Spy lived longer was because the Imp impersonated Empath and flagged out the Chef - the Chef fumbled and drew unwarranted suspicion to himself by accusing the Recluse. tl;dr The first game had the Imp survive so long down from 10p to 3p and Good won via Mayor's ability. The second game had an earlier narrow down from 8p to 4p (who of the 4 were bad) so it became a simple 4-choose-2.
That does sound pretty epic! and it must've been good if it was memorable enough for you to recount the whole game so clearly! As for the extra characters you can find them on the script Sects and Violets, which is on the clocktower official website!
