  • I have been experimenting with Midjourney for a while to create images from text, but the period to use it for free expired and I was prompted to pick a subscription option.
This prompted me to ask Bing AI in the Edge browser's Side Sanel for a list of alternatives and I was surprised to learn the Microsoft Edge browser has a free Image Creator built into the same Side Panel as the Bing AI. It can be launched from the Side Bar if it is enabled. It was not enabled on my Sidebar, so I had to click on the plus icon on the Side Bar to launch the Customize Sidebar panel and enable it.
I created the avatar image in the video using the Bing Image Creator. The prompt I used was copied from a Midjourney example prompt as follows:
imagine a medium shot of white woman wearing a Tshirt, captured with a Nikon D850 and & Nikon AF-s NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR lens, lit with high-key lightning to create a soft and ethereal feel, a shallow depth of field --ar 2:3
The speech text for the avatar was generated by the Bing AI by asking it to give me a description of how to use the Image Creator.
I copied the text to a web site called ElevenLabs which was able to generate an MP3 file for the avatar's speech.
Finally, the avatar image and the MP3 files were uploaded to a site called Studio.D-ID to animate the avatar and create a video of the avatar speaking.
