2023 v 2024 USHCN Raw Temperature Data
Each year, I download the temperature history data and use a program named Climate History to process it, creating an Excel spreadsheet that enables me to plot the data and identify trends. Today, I came across a post by Tony Heller, who mentioned that NOAA was altering the original thermometer data. This motivated me to perform my annual download today to verify Tony's claims. Since I download data yearly, I have a historical record to compare the current data against. It disappoints me to validate Tony's findings, as it indicates that NOAA is now modifying the raw temperature history. Unsurprisingly, these modifications suggest that temperatures have been rising over the past 20 years.

Every year, I collect temperature records from the government's website. With this data, I have created an Excel workbook to streamline my analysis. The raw data consists of unaltered readings from thermometers. Th...

Can you just buy one month?I don’t have too many old photos. After you cancel do you keep the photos you import?
The subscriptions are by the year. The video illustrates how to download the images from your account back to your computer. You can download a single album or all the albums at once. One of my complaints is that you cannot download all the labeled images at once...you must download the labeled images one at a time.
seems like a lot of $ for 1 year then.Again once I import from the phone app to my iMac do I own them or only while I’m under subscription?
If you take apart your book you might as well get a Scansnap by Fujitsu about $400 and just feed it through it. It's less work. The Czur is like a flabed scanner without the cover. It also fails miserably on glossy papers: you would see glaring and there's no other way around it. And it doesn't remove the finger marks completely. The scanning process is 10x slower than the document feeder.
That is what I eventually did except with the Epson ES-400II document scanner. All the benefits you mention in your post.

Yes, The Czur ET24 Pro has exactly the same problems. In reality the Plustek Opticbook 4800 (which is a flatbed scanner) is actually faster even with a calimed speed of 3.5 seconds per page which is really 8 seconds per page. As for curvature, the Plustek scans all the way to one edge of the glass (which is where you place the binding and can handle a 800 page thick book just fine. And there is no secondary processing required for perfectly undistorted scans. It took over 10 videos to figure out how to use the CZUR workflow and it still requires third party SW to clean up the distortions which negates any advertised speed advantages. To scan 60 page magazines required placing a sheet of glass over the magazine to flatten it and also required using side lights to avoid the glare from the overhead lamps in the glass. The stapled binding of the magazine is much worse than a book binding for creating non-linear distortions. If you dont care about scan quality, the CZUR is ok and fast. If you want good scan quality, the Plustek is actually faster, even at 8 seconds per page. The Plustek has a major problem with buggy SW which forced me to scan in 60 page sections due to random SW lockups killing the entire scan up to that point) (and Yes I was running a high end engineering workstation with ECC memory as the host for both).
Funny the only comments here are for The Secret, if that's really the location it sure changed a lot just in 8 years.
Talk about blurry and poor quality ! Obviously not a real or serious camera. Buy a Nikon or a Canon !

After I received the email from Microsoft informing us of the new AI in Bing, I clicked on the link and it opened a page in Edge. I filled out the request for Early Access an Edge on my PC. I did this immediately after receiving the email so I was probably one of the first to submit the request. The Bing app on my phone updated about a week after I had access on my PC.
cool !!
I bought this scanner to scan several old books in Norwegian. I had to set up special lighting (two ringlights for smooth lighting). The single light source on the scanner itself causes way too much glare. The software did a good job of correcting the curvature and eliminating the images of my thumbs holding the pages down. Correct alignment is crucial to getting good scans. The process was somewhat tedious, but I did get good images which I then ran through OmniPage Pro for OCR, and then used Google translate to convert to English. Processing was pretty fast with my HP laptop. Aside from book scanning, this device is really not particularly useful. I find it much faster to use a flatbed or my old Fujitsu fi6130Z for routine scanning.
Thanks for the feedback. Does the Omnipage Pro OCR work better than the CZUR Integrated OCR?
@@MrWTBlock Didn't try it. OmniPage has multiple language settings and I used Norwegian.
good job!!thanks!!
Would you instead recommend a flatbed scanner for scanning books?
A lot depends on your goal. I was trying to reproduce these books for republication on Kindle and I could not accept any distortions. For my purposes I had to cut the books up so that I could flatten the pages.
@@MrWTBlock if you cut up the books you might as well as get a document feeding like the Fuitsu Scansnap IX 1500...the scanning can be done in a few minutes. And most of the times you don't have to worry about the glaring, flattening of the pages, finger marks.
this is literally so cute

Hi Bill, How well did the touch-up paint match the wall?
Hi Barry, I was using Behr paint and when the paint dried the match was perfect. Paints come in multiple textures (matt, gloss, etc.) and you need to pick the correct one because the device does not deal with that.
@@MrWTBlock Oh, that's great! I'm definitely going to pick up one of these. Thanks for the reply.
Make a video of the night-mode picture and videos of this product, man. I have recently got the phone and also learnt how to use its cameras.
What device handler did you use with that zigbee relay? Also how did you get the momentary output to work in SmartThings?
A device handler is not needed because the relay installs as a switch. The default behavior of the relay is momentary, so I did not change anything.
Which terminals did you use on the zigbee relay? Also, do you have instructions for wiring the wall panel for the garage door?
The center terminal and the outer terminal are referred to as the normally open contacts. With regard to the wall panel of your garage door opener, use the same two wires and connect them where the wall panel wires go into the garage door controller.
