    She is beautiful, her dark skin is beautiful. Colorism is still an issue, its crazy. Women feel forced to bleach to attract husbands but it rapidly ages their skin and makes the texture bumpy. It also causes cancer, organ failure,⚰ to the extent that its banned in numerous countries. Smooth dark skin is stunning. Congrats on finding your Happy Place!

    I often wonder what the local Ghanaian working for 1200 Cedis a month would say about living in Ghana. As the wife of a Ghanaian, I know firsthand, those of us earning a western income can go to Ghana or many of the countries on the continent and live well, but until the average local Ghanaian can do the same are we making the situation any better? Because of my husband, I often find myself watching a number of these types of interviews where people often speak negatively about the U.S., but I don't ever recall hearing anyone say, "I left the U.S. and the American dollar behind". I love Ghana so much, I will work for the local Cedi. Even Marlo, made reference to earning an American income and wanting the Western dollar to support her AirBNB. Every country has it's good, bad, ugly, and violence; is it necessary to dehumanize one country in order to lift another country up? A good sales person will always tell you how good their product is without speaking negatively about their competitors. I'm just saying...

    • @dadoboye1536
      @dadoboye1536 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There’re thousands of Ghanaians who don’t want to live outside Ghana because they’re doing extremely well financially, emotionally, mentally, and feel free. Please don’t make it seem that everyone earning dollars in the US is happy. On the contrary, significant number of Americans are unhappy. Happiness is more than the dollar.

    • @EB-fy5zr
      @EB-fy5zr ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dadoboye1536 You are 100% correct; but that wasn't the statement I was making. I know money does not equal happiness or mental or physical well-being or that every Ghanaian is making 1200 cedis or is unhappy. My issue is with my fellow American and/or those who have been Naturalized in the U.S. that choose to move elsewhere and speak negatively of the U.S. all while living off of and asking for the U.S. dollar. If I am that unhappy with the country in which I was born or Naturalized, then when I leave the country, leave the money. Not meant to be an insult to my Ghanaian family.

      @@dadoboye1536 What if; I'm not here for a debate, just an observation. I can promote Ghana without down-playing the U.S. Sell the beauty of Ghana without assaulting the country that finances your lifestyle; it's the power of positive thinking. Have an awesome and enjoyable weekend!!!

    I have digested what she said. However, colorism is rife in all African countries, including Ghana. The same in Caribbean countries. Darker-skinned Black people are treated inferiorly to those with lighter skin. Growing up in Jamaica I was told I was too "black". The first compliments I got about my skin hue were from white folks in the UK.
