About the Elipsa 2e, there is other pens that works! Surface, Dell, Lenovo... And I got mine today, and really, it's much better than I thought... Okay it does not compare to my Montblanc with an Oblique BB nib and tomoe river paper... But for reading, taking notes, and keeping track of my meetings, it's great! And for reading, it's crazy good.
Yes we know that, but legally we're not allowed to say that With active capacitive, it's hit or miss, and there are a few pens out there that end up working, but we can only say that the Rakuten one works

If you don't want a colour, b&w are great outdoors without any lights. And frankly, most of e-notes have adjustable light, so you can pick any to use in the dark.
I am surprised not to see the A5X and/A6X in the list. Also, I am the unhappy owner of a Kobo Elipsa (1st gen) and I would definitely not recommend it for notes’ taking : writing experience is sooo bad !
As we said, in the video before it even started, "we are only looking at the devices released this year" And supernal products were not only released 2 years ago, but are very low quality compared to the rest of the competition. They simply can't keep up with any other manufacturer. They are out classed, and played out.
Because E-Ink Corporation has a monopoly on such displays. There is no reason for them to reduce the price. Also the Chinese alternative of such displays, called DES from company 'Good Display', turned out to be of no use to anyone since ~2020
